Updated one of my grocery deliveries hosed out the kitchen trash can paid one bill on line wrote out checks and envelopes for three other bills
then, I discovered that ants are no longer limiting themselves to a ceiling beam and have invaded a pantry.
Everything except for the syrup was fine. I've now put everything not in a sealed container into a ziplock.
Sigh. Nap time.

Sounds like a productive day Chloe!
I did rest but found that if I’m off my feet for long periods it hurts more so lots of little breaks. I even had some time to mow the side yard which is growing wild behind the fence. The weather is lovely and tomorrow we are getting rain so good timing.
I started sorting my huge box of pens and markers, I also organized the thread and sewing stuff. Fabric sorting is going well, next up is the soft flannels for burp rags.

I have finished the student handbook for the school year. Two weeks after the school year started.

I will be getting a basement full of Stuff. Dnephew3 needs a place to put extra Stuff after fiance moves in between now and November 30. They are looking for a house that better suits a family than his house does. He also talking about future children. So while they house hunt, my basement gets the Stuff.

The problem is the days I didn't file emails that needed to be kept due to vacation, training, too many meetjngs. I manage contracts, there are potential FOIA requests, and active litigation holds results in thousands of emails sitting in my inbox that need to be filed. I keep trying to devote a chunk of time to filing but I never seem to make much progress.
And while the system described above would tame my Gmail accounts, work people email about various subjects. My personal accounts are fairly organized.

But for people who are emailing me daily, I have a folder with their name on it.

These are old school 1986 Transformers that can actually be worth some decent money. The newer ones I may give to the kids across the street or to pinkcashmere. I have to sort them first. Plus one of his niece's gets to pick what she wants. That is how they all remember him so that's what she wants.

I received a text yesterday from my neighbor who posted my Fiesta Ware dishes on Next-Door....she had them sold (she's out of town). The lady buying them will be here at 3 PM. Not a huge amount of money, but that really wasn't the point. The point was to not have them anymore and instead enjoy my Correlle dishes already in the cabinets.

Working on organizing in the living room and I really need to prep the walls for paint (at least the floor to 6’ up) so I can prime and paint.
The fabric bins I bought mean the bulk of my stash can go neatly under the twin bed and I won’t have a tower of larger bins to deal with. As I organize everything I’m making notes for labels now that I’ve unpacked my laminator machine.
I had to call out the gas company last night because the old heater in the laundry room was leaking and so now the meter is turned off. Removing that safely will go on the list for the plumber.

Got my grading done and I'm working on my homework. I feel a little more in control of things right now, so I'm enjoying the feeling before we get back to the chaos of tomorrow.

Yesterday I was able to prime most of the office walls and a big section in the laundry room (got dizzy so I didn't get up on the ladder to touch up) and then put the first coat of paint on the laundry room and a little bit in the office. Even though I didn't get it finished, it definitely feels like progress.
Work today and then more painting, my ankle is nearly back to normal so I'm anxious to finish up the office and get the furniture positioned as I want it.

Big news!!! We had a general assembly tonight with all the other owners in the wonky building. (The sole shitestirrer was absent but we had the vast majority of votes.) Long story short, everyone was thrilled that our buyer is volunteering to manage the building association (for free!), everyone voted yes on all his suggestions to make things legal, and now we can legally sell the studio to him!!! We are THRILLED!!! We're selling at a loss but we can live with that. And he was only willing to do all that legwork because he got a great price. It'll take a few months, closing takes ages here.

I am SO RELIEVED!!! One owner, C, was SUPER argumentative. My heart sank, I thought, this isn't going to work out. The buyer (who is a real estate agent, but he's acting as an individual for this transaction) was so incredibly patient and soft spoken, C ended up coming around. I know Knee Deep in Water Chloe has been through this. At some point it becomes easier to take the financial hit and be done. It does help that we will only owe 17K of the 41K we borrowed when we took out that loan in Feb 2011. That will be paid off at the sale.

Also, I start later on Mondays. I left the house 20 min earlier so I could stop at the supermarket on the way to Job 2. I got the rest of the household goods I wanted: toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher tabs, rinse liquid.
Now I'm all stocked up in case there's a second lockdown.
This week - pharmacy - pick up DS1's package

I think Monday morning is not a good time for grocery pick up. I've done Mondays twice now and didn't get everything I ordered either time. Today, I only got about half of what I ordered.

Looks like DH and I both skirted the cold we've shared over the past few days, which is a good thing. We're spending tomorrow night at a B&B in Annapolis, where we first kissed. It's our 15th wedding anniversary Wednesday. It will be so nice to get away. And where we're going is engaging in very safe practices, too. It will rain, but that's okay.

I am still sputtering along with the decluttering. Lately I have been taking small loads of things to the donation drop off. It just seems to work better and makes me feel like I am making progress to have those 8-10 items out the door.

Many people also shop on the weekends and they might not have restocked everything.
I dumped all the expired snacks out of the snack travel bag. The ones that were still good went in DH's snack bin in the newly organized pantry. I did not realize it still had snacks in it.
My basket arrived for the living room blankets. I filled that up.
Still plugging along slowly getting things in place. I think I have an idea for water in the pantry I need to try out.
I wish I could just take a couple days off and finish it all but my brain just doesn't work that way. It takes me time to come up with ideas.
The second shoe shelf is in and ready to pick up.

Congrats to DS3 debthaven! Only one item was missing from my order today, but it was not an important item. I get my flu shot on Sunday morning so will pick up another order that day.

Numbers are up again, the weekly gov't press conference is tomorrow. I'm guessing there will be greater restrictions announced.
I know both my schools are desperately trying to keep classes even partly in person until fall break (mid Oct for Job 2, a week later for Job 1).
My friend K and I had a friendly bet on whether or not Job 1 would make it to fall break without online classes. So K owes me lunch LOL. (Don't worry, I'm a cheap date.)
If we DO go all online, DH and I decided we would buy a good desk chair. If it's just a few hours here and there, it's not worth it.

Numbers are crazy bad here so yesterday the governor held a press conference. She has now decided that schools don't need to quarantine those exposed by people who test positive if both parties were wearing a mask if they were together for 15 minutes. If less than 15 minutes, no need to quarantine. My county is one of the worst in the state in 14 day rolling average of positives. However, my sister's is far worse. They have fewer people, but still. Today's paper broke numbers down by zip code. My little town is the highest when extrapolated to cases per 100,000. All the small towns in the county were at the top of the list. I am not surprised. Had to scan and email to bills to Dnephew1. I don't understand why they haven't changed any addresses. I'm guessing they go to the website and download. One is their US cell phone. Account is closed and it has a negative balance. Think that means they are owed a refund. Today is baby's 6 month birthday. I'm hoping for a picture.

I have just donated 5 pair of sandals and tossed the boxes in the trash can. After a couple of far to close calls and falling it was time to toss them out and for me to use shoes that don't scream "fall down"
Now, I'll be going back to my closet to keep doing the job of decluttering.
