You understand that federal economic purpose and policy during a great depression is not going to be the same as during an economic high... i mean, right? That makes sense? I don't think Obama was president during the great depression. It does apply equally as well as your post did, when quoting mine on misquotes and interpretations. Well just meander all over the place with posturing buzzwords and mostly nonsense. I'll throw in a couple of other random items for good measure. Was Hillary really having medical issues when she was stumbling into the van ?

Because of Obama it never made it there... THAT is what policies like our social safety net and qualitative easing managed. Governments can but us out of a depression..... but at the height of an economic boom its just horrid policy. Digging a hole that makes the next downturn even harder to manage.

The safety net was cause for the slowest recovery on record.

Anyway, all deflection aside...
I still feel that the Senate should hold a trial, a long one.
With long speeches on the deliberate misquotes, and the long reaches of interpretation, by the Democrats.

What is your opinion of Mitch McConnell recusing himself as a senate juror after he said this the other day (article link in reply #80): Should a juror recuse themself after stating he was working with the defendent and the defendant's attorneys to ensure the defendant is not convicted?

I do too! And call Mulvaney, Rudy, Pompeo, and Bolton! Lay out exactly what happened. Any problem with telling the truth? After all, if you have nothing to hide, you would want them to testify.

So....thinking about this more. If he doesn't follow the constitutional process of a trial, does it remain "open"? I know it is highly unlikely that the Senate would flip in either 20 or 22, but if it did, and Trump gets a second term, and there had not been a trial, and Trump was not officially exonerated, couldn't a Democratic Senate hold the trial? There is no carryover from one (two year) Congress to the next. Could the House reissue the articles of impeachment?

That is because they know this is a sham in the first place. Democrat congress is a lynch mob. The Senate needs to Acquit that would be the right thing to do. LOL. The senate cannot overturn the impeachment vote. trump will still go down in history as only the third president in U.S. history to be impeached. And Hillary will laugh and laugh at him as trump will be no better than her husband. i think they can still vote to acquit thou. Trump will love the impeachment vote i know i do. Anyone with commonsense knows this is a sham no real evidence and to the contrary there is evidence of no wrong doing just some talking points for the Dems that is why they didn't want the republicans to give evidence in the first half, but oh well this is going to blow up in the dems face just like everything else they have done. Trump will wear the impeachment and tout that they threw everything they had at me and i'm still here making the country great showing how bias and corrupt the democrats are. He will get re-elected and that is what they are truly afraid of, if RBG dies hopefully not (i mean that too) they know they will not have any control over the supreme court for decades. Something they have enjoyed for a very long time. From what i have seen on this board is the trump haters don't care how corrupt the dems are as long as they get trump. If it wasn't true then they would admit that the dossier was full of bias crap that should never have led to a fisa warrant in the first place. They would admit that Stroke and Page was corrupt, they would admit that any Russian interference in the 2016 election falls into obamas hands. But no they won't do that so i will sit back and enjoy another great election nite in November and know that all the Trump haters dreams are shattered again

There is no carryover from one (two year) Congress to the next. Could the House reissue the articles of impeachment? We are getting into a lot of murkiness here. Would double jeopardy apply if the House attempted it using the same charges based on the same circumstances? I would see the Trump Administration taking that to the Supreme Court. I don't see that as a cut and dry decision. I won't be shocked if they deferred to the Senate. New Articles for different behaviors would certainly be an option. Would President Trump provide that opportunity? I would hope not.

I think it sucked the Demos wouldn’t let Pompeo, Mulvaney, Guliani, and Bolton testify.
I thought t was horrible how Obama met all those Russian operatives at Trump Tower and then asked the Russians to get Hillary’s emails. Very sneaky.
And that Scalia SCOTUS? Bunch of Commies legislating from the bench if you ask me.
And FOX News...the most honest company in the history of media.

But that does not erase the historical fact trump was impeached. So every time someone mentions Bill Clinton was impeached, someone else can bring up trump was impeached too. The rest of your post? The usual trump cult nonsense.

The impeachment hearing are winding down as far as the public is concerned, how do I know? The same thing with the Mueller thing,, News coverage, not much of it, the insiders know!! time to start looking for something else! Even if Trump in impeached by the House, the Senate will acquit!! just about a done deal!! Here is what you have to look forward to,, the Elections,, as it stands now,,, you don't have anyone that will beat Trump,,
I know, I do know you will throw a fit,, jump up and down scream at the top of your lungs,, but you know it and I know it!!!

As you like to point out i do not care to worry too much about grammar. If anyone cannot comprehend my post then don't read them no skin off my ass. As far as the ones who like to comment about it they can kiss my ass i really don't care. (this must be one of those line crossing areas)

Anyway, all deflection aside... I still feel that the Senate should hold a trial, a long one. With long speeches on the deliberate misquotes, and the long reaches of interpretation, by the Democrats. I do too! And call Mulvaney, Rudy, Pompeo, and Bolton! Lay out exactly what happened. Any problem with telling the truth? After all, if you have nothing to hide, you would want them to testify. No, the only people allowed to testify will be those who back the president. Like the reverse of what happened in the house. Not really be big deal, it's what will happen. Everyone has known this all along that it was just a show, a fishing expedition. Now it will be time for the primetime backfire, if they even have the Senate trial. I'm all for it.

What is your opinion of Mitch McConnell recusing himself as a senate juror after he said this the other day (article link in reply #80): Should a juror recuse themself after stating he was working with the defendent and the defendant's attorneys to ensure the defendant is not convicted? He can say pretty much anything he wants to fox news, doesn't really mean anything. Kind of like Eric Holder saying he's Obama's wingman while he was in office, then calling out Barr for his partisan loyalty to Trump Mostly a bunch of nothing designed to attract attention from those who don't know any better.
