During 9/11, Bush was hustled away and it was determined that him being in Air Force 1 in the air while they were not sure what was going on in the US was the safest place for him to be. OMG! Those who did not like Bush were just as bad as they are with tRump being hustled down to the bunker. This is the Secret Service’s job, to keep him safe. While there are lots of things to be pissed about, IMO this is not one of them. Of course not, but who is mad that Trump went to the bunker? Nobody. Are they laughing at him for his infantile attempts to explain it away? Absolutely. Are they horrified or angry that he thinks reporting simple, benign facts is worthy of prosecution? Yes. All he does is show more reasons why he is neither mentally nor temperamentally fit to be president. Exactly! He thinks that this portrays a weakness, when in reality everyone is doing their job in the way they are supposed to. But he cannot see that far.

I wish the country didn't have to figure out who is lying, the President or the Attorney General. "Unfortunately, with your statement of last night, you have chosen public spectacle over public service," Barr said in his letter to Berman. "Because you have declared that you have no intention of resigning, I have asked the President to remove you as of today, and he has done so." But Trump said Saturday he wasn't involved with the decision. "Well, that's all up to the attorney general. Attorney General Barr is working on that," Trump said on the South Lawn ahead of his departure for his rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma. "That's his department, not my department. But we have a very capable attorney general so that's really up to him. I'm not involved." www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-has-fired-berman-barr-says/ar-BB15Loq4?ocid=spartanntp

Fact check: Trump falsely claims 'insurance reasons' prevented him from entering St. John's Church More than two weeks after his controversial photo-op outside a Washington, DC, church, President Donald Trump offered a new explanation last week for why he didn't enter St. John's Episcopal Church. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday Trump said there were "a lot of insurance reasons" for why he couldn't go in. That isn't true. www.cnn.com/2020/06/20/politics/fact-check-trump-st-johns-church-photo-op-insurance/index.htmlLies piled atop lies which are piled atop other lies. How about some more lies: AP FACT CHECK: In time of trauma, Trumps congratulates selfWASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump prefaced the revival of his campaign rallies with days of self-congratulation, a familiar pattern that has not been disturbed by the traumas of this time. He devoted attention to the Obama administration, trashing it even while claiming some of its achievements as his own. Perhaps most brazenly, he claimed credit for reducing suicides by veterans and offering them same-day emergency mental health counseling at Department of Veterans Affairs centers, achievements he inherited and did not build on. Trump has been preparing for his Tulsa, Oklahoma, rally on Saturday night, which shaped up to be the first indoor event of such a massive scale since the coronavirus pandemic took hold. Some public health officials implored him to move it outside or postpone it, fearing the event would spread sickness and death. Large crowds were expected both inside and outside. The lies can be found here: AP FACT CHECK: In time of trauma, Trumps congratulates self

"When you listen to the President, these are the musings of an imbecile. An idiot. And I don't use those words to name call. I use them because they are the precise words of the English language to describe his behavior. His comportment. His actions. We've never seen a level of incompetence, a level of ineptitude so staggering on a daily basis by anybody in the history of the country whose ever been charged with substantial responsibilities."

The truth is that in 2016, the last year of Obama’s presidency, Maine had a record lobster catch. Not that Obama had anything to do with it, but during his eight years in office, Maine’s lobster catch nearly doubled in landings and value. The catch rose from less than 70 million pounds in 2008 to more than 132 million pounds in 2016, which remains the record. In the same period, the value of the catch surged from $245 million to a record $540 million. By contrast, the lobster catch has declined since Trump came into office. While landings and value have remained high — in historical terms — the catch declined by nearly 25 percent last year compared to Obama’s final year in office. www.bostonglobe.com/2020/06/25/nation/fact-checking-trumps-claims-about-maine-lobster-industry/

The non-stop, pathological lying doesn't matter to his supporters. I can't wrap my head around that. When the liar was in our fair state a couple of weeks ago he promised to do something to help the lobster industry. So, in a way he is trying to keep that promise. He is trying to get subsidies for the lobster industry included in his Agriculture relief bill. Many lobstermen will support him. It ignores a couple of big things. 1. Lobster industry and agriculture needs massive price supports because of his blunt trade war with China, totally lacking any finesse or diplomatic skills. 2. The lobster catch in both total dollars and total catch reached it's all time high in 2016, while Obama was president. I might add, this had little to do with President Obama either. Usually the ups and downs of the lobster fishery has little to do with presidential policy. Unless the president shut's down a good chunk of the market of course.

Maybe they just hung onto the leftover tags, until the right administration moved in. You have to admit it--if the shoe fits...

On Sunday morning -- before making the 271st visit to one of his golf courses during his presidency -- Donald Trump retweeted a video he said is from the Villages, a retirement community in Florida, in which a man driving a golf cart with Trump campaign posters is seen and heard yelling "white power." "Thank you to the great people of The Villages," wrote Trump in the since-deleted tweet. www.cnn.com/2020/06/28/politics/donald-trump-video-man-shouts-white-power/index.html

Trump is claiming he didn’t hear that part of the video.
Interesting how he always defaults to ignorance rather than admitting he was wrong. He’s doing the same thing on the other weekend scandal, claiming no one told him Putin was paying the taliban a bounty for dead Americans.
Funny that he would rather claim to be clueless than simply apologize.
By the way, this is further confirmation I would rather be dead than retire to that place.
