The dummy wrote back that oh he didn't mean hubs. Hubs wrote back, you need to think about what you are saying, you are saying about half of the people in our town are like that. You make statements like that and don't realize what you are saying. I said hubs you are being to nice. He is a total jerk another one of those if you are against abortion, you can tear the whole damn country down. They don't even have kids, because he has no insurance, can't keep a job, soooo. But ones like that will never understand, very limited people for sure. I used to have more sympathy for the 40% than I do now.
IE: when Clinton called them "deplorables", I cringed.
now, the comment would fall between prescient and hyperbole.
When Clinton called them a "basket of deplorables", I was horrified.....there are too many of them to fit in one basket.

One of her numerous F ups that cost her. Although I voted for her I thought her “entitlement”, manifested by that comment and her ignoring rust belt states, as if they were in the bag, did her in. Apparently ignored some sage wisdom from the politician in the family.

Yes, she messed up and look what we have now.
But I fear with all the crooks out there and repubs willing to do anything that repubs will "win" again. We are fu**** if he gets in again. We might be able to still dig it out now, another 4 years, I don't know.
Another 4 years, peace keeping forces from Russia will be here and well entrenched. His gun lobby will help him. Once the country is secure he will go after all them also. We are in danger.

i agree that if he gets in again, y'all are fucked.
he is a very dangerous president. i mean that at a fundamental level.
he is the kind of guy that wouldn't think twice to sending in the Army to run over hippies with a tank.
he is a fuckwad to the core. the sooner y'all get him out, the better. a month would be nice. but a year will work, too.

only the old white guys are on the rise right now: Biden, Sanders, and Bloomberg.
Biden's lead is down to 6% now. Sanders is the highest he has been since April. Bloomberg has overtaken Buttegeig and is now in 4th behind Warren.
I am still predicting Biden will win this, but Sanders is the one to watch right now. he is fully capable of making it interesting.

I am watching Fareed Zakaria Sunday show...he had three folks..big credentials, located in three countries...and he was in Davos Asked all how foreign are taking in the impeachment trial...All said little attention at all being paid to it...most feel it's a good probability that Trump gets another term...and their future plans, especially business folks, making plans with that in mind... Personally I am with Bloomberg...don't see Warren or Bernie winning against Trump....Staying with Biden as the best choice Interesting local program in S Florida this AM...had a Bloomberg campaign head on...was asked why he stayed away from early campaigning...He answered that the early primaries only amounted to 4% of the total needed to get nomination..later ones much heavier weighted...definitely spending a lot now around here..back to back ads..

Russian 'Propaganda Machine' Selects Kansas City As Its Second Radio Broadcast Site
Early this month, a radio station based in Liberty, Missouri, signed a three-year deal to broadcast Radio Sputnik across Kansas City.
The English-language programming airs for three hours each morning and again in the evening on three frequencies controlled by KCXL: 1140 AM, 102.9 FM and 104.7 FM.
It’s produced by the U.S.-based branch of an organization created in 2013 by Russian President Vladimir Putin to promote Russian interests abroad.
The organization, Rossiya Segodnya, hopes to restore a “fair attitude to Russia in every country in the world,” according to court records.
For now, Radio Sputnik only broadcasts in two American cities: Kansas City and Washington D.C., where its programming has aired since 2017. The government pressed Ferolito and Sputnik to register under FARA after U.S. intelligence agencies investigated Russia’s role in the 2016 presidential election. One report from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence concluded that Radio Sputnik is part of a “state-run propaganda machine” that served as a “platform for Kremlin messaging to Russian and international audiences.”

for those of you that don't get why the GOP and Russia have grown so cuddly lately, I would suggest that you watch "The Family" on Netflix. that will scare the shit out of you.

Sublime? none of the above.
my vote goes to either our democratic system of governance, the judiciary, or the dollar.

Theocrats on the move towards... there was something unnerving when, after 911, the people in charge of the counter-offensive opted for the language of those that just got done attacking us.
turns out, that was no mere coincidence.

Sanders is peaking at precisely the right time.
he is now just 5% behind Biden with a week to go before Iowa, his best numbers in 10 months.
Warren is stuck at 15%. Bloomberg is now solidly in front of Buttegeig in 4th. in addition, he just had his best survey result to date in Morning Consult (12%). but he is still 3rd tier.
as of this morning, I think it is possible that Sanders might win. which, honestly, is very surprising.

the question that remains in my mind is if it is what the country needs.

I picked Paul Tsongas in 92, Al Gore in 2000, and Hillary in 16. So I may not be the best judge. I guess we all have to decide for ourselves, and may the best person win, for the USA's sake.

I think that Sanders is now the favourite in IA and NH. he also looks strong in NV.
I have contended all along that IA doesn't matter, and I still think that.
NH is a different story, however. it is more representative of the US as a whole.
the Nevada primary is going to be the interesting one, as of today: too close to call.

I'm glad he stuck with pointing out the important stuff. It was in response to the President of the United States attacking Bloomberg's height and falsely claiming he was demanding a box to stand on during debates. Yes, this is what we have to look forward to for the next ten mouths and then four more years if the American voters decide they want to have it continue.

the New Hampshire polling has gone significantly South for Biden since Jan 1st. on Jan 1, he lead the field narrowly. he is now in FOURTH, trailing Warren.
this was never going to be an easy state for him. Sanders has been running 1st or second since NOVEMBER. he had an 11 point lead in the first, but Buttigeig's polling numbers have bumped up to the low 20's in the last week. I don't think it is enough to put him over the top, but he MIGHT.
if Sanders wins, I think that Biden is going to have trouble in South Carolina, which a month ago looked like an impossible reach for the other candidates. Steyer, interestingly, is running second there. if Steyer wins or "places" there, NV is going to get interesting (it already is maybe the most interesting primary), and then Super Tuesday is going to be the day that he perhaps gives Biden the KO punch.
on the other hand, if Biden wins SC, he might prevail. so, a lot rides on NH.
stay tuned......
