Anyone want to guess how many illegal aliens tried to pass a background check to purchase a weapon and were denied based on stats on November 30th?

You might want to go back and read the article as they fixed it:

"CORRECTION: An earlier version of this story said the numbers were of attempted purchases. The report is of "active records" of those barred. Washington Secrets regrets the error."  (emphasis mine)

Of those, 3,337 were in 2017

The updated total through November 2018 is 7,836,600

That means for the first 11 months of 2018 the total denied were 7,813,515

Yes, that is quite a jump

The numbers aren't accurate. But even if they were, they don't say this. Each of the prohibited categories is a distinct category.

Also while I couldn’t find numbers broken down, there is a specific graphic for determining if non immigrant aliens can buy a gun and most categories under that umbrella cannot... that does not mean they are not legal aliens, just not able to purchase guns legally, which even they might not know until they go through the process.

I'm sure you already picked up on this, but the 7,836,600 number has nothing to do with attempts to purchase a gun.  It's just the total of background checks that have been completed.

I posted the number of illegal immigrants that was available a month or so ago from a well known source. No one argued with the number at the time, if I remember correctly.

Yeah, like this thread which could and probably should have been just left go, I don't always answer you because initial easy research generally supports the fact that your conclusions are sensationalized headline more than fact... the one in this OP for instance... It only took moments to realize that the only people covering any kind of a 'story' about this were right wing propaganda sites.  That is usually enough to make me dismiss and just walk away but i had a few minutes so i went to the actual reports and read the info, and identified the first 8 fallacies in the washington examiner 'article' that 'reported' the issue .... anyway, just because no one says anything doesn't mean they take your conclusions as fact.

I'm trying to understand this report. According to this report that I found on the NCIS site they only denied 25,825 Unlawful Aliens. Since I assume they would deny all Unlawful Aliens, where does the 7 million number come from?

I saw Value Buy posting earlier this morning.  I was so sure he would post and explain the stats and his source for same he noted in this thread to us posters.  Alas, no update.
