This is not attacking the woman. This was her life story. I thought we are all equals now, but obviosly this is not true. We have a woman with a story with more holes than swiss cheese, but we have to believe every freaking word of it as the Gospel. No, we do not. Her Yearbook and her lifestyle choices now come into play. Just the fact she claimed fear of flying for not coming to DC, when she is a world traveler flyer and even flew to the east coast earlier this year is a super red flag. Democrats released her name and put her on the high cliff to dive off, so please hold your comments for the Democratic Never Trumper's. This is not about the nominee. It is about defeating President Trump of which the accuser is a known member.

Conservatives hold all the power! They had every opportunity to hold the vote. What are they so scared of? Are you saying President Trump doesn't have his party in line? Is that the Dems fault?

I understand what you are saying.
I also think with this yearbook stuff it might not be such an invalid thought to consider that her yearbook is in the context of the aftermath of a sexual assault. Some of the behavior is pretty common after a sexual assault. I understand that both yearbooks involved with the nominee and " Chrissy " as she was called then are both in the context of a really toxic environment in the HA and GP and Lander Schools at the time. It was outrageous really , I have cousins and neices etc etc that I sorry to report have back then and more recently been a part of those schools. I know with total certainty at the time relevant ( and not going to comment on recent times ) it was a sorry state of affairs in the exclusive boys and exclusive girls schools and in the exclusive areas nearby. Some kids such as for example Judge G were able keep themselves removed to a good degree from the worst of the worst toxicity. Many others and I think that includes " Brett " and " Chrissy " were not as fortunate. There were too many drugs ridiculous amounts of alcohol and culture of entitlement and at that time there was a big degree of boys will be boys and the value just was not so much on the girls. The girls struggled as teens do to be liked or fit in and be a part of the social set. There is way way too little parent involvemnent and supervision. House after house with no supervision , no parent in site so running wild and empty parent house jumping was the way it was. It was terribly sad for all those kids then. Some bad things were almost a set up I think. I think ' Chrissy " was very credible. I think kind of that Brett fell into that booze, hormones flying , boys will be boys and girls are devalued social scene. And he sadly is a person that had a horrible alcohol problem and his reaction by credible accounts were belligerence , and aggression and peer pressure and sick social system .
I think he showed us the so close to the surface with breakthrough hostility toward femles in the hearing . I don't he some horrible person . I think he cares alot about his family and I don't know one way or the other what his memory impairment might have been . It could have been significant.
The good news is that the ages were the most risk for violence with the situatrion described his those later teen and earlier adult hood years. I think he grew out of the worst of it. We know that the brain isn't fully developed into well into the 20s so that is also a factor . I am not a mean person . I felt horrible for him and his family these past couple weeks.
So in a way I can put what did or did not happen on the self and keep it there.
I think in his hearing for what is not a trial but a job consideration , his behavior was concerning . It is not ok to be so belligerent .It is not ok to have disdain for a huge portion of your fellow man of citizens, it is not ok to be so very rude and disrespectful to female senators. It just is not. It just is emotionally stable enough or however you want to describe the behavior.
Do you really think given some time and years maybe even his own daughters would be able to watch that hearing , and think , OMG what the hell was going on with my dad. I think they will get it. I hope by that time through what ever might be helpful he might evolve where he can resolve his issues.
He did not demonstrate what is comfortable to see for many many people during his hearing. And it is there for history to play and replay , and that will not particularly be thought of kindly.
Some people myself included would prefer a more centric nominee because I am worried about the division in our country. I can live knowing that is not going to happen. And it me and many others like me it is about that hearing and that nominee. Today tomorrow and always I will think Trump is a buffoon. But I love this country. I even want a buffoon to succeed. I am not skipping for joy with all his vitriol and divisiveness. I don't like in any leader. I don't think that is a quality of a admirable leader. I don't care if they belong to a purple people eater party. I don't like. If the purple people eater becomes our president. I will want that person and the country to do well.
I know how lucky I was to be born here . I know lucky my husband and kids are to be born here. I know how many people in my family put there lives on the line as I come from a whole of navy officers. I know my grandfather gave his life for this country. I will never do anything to not honor his name.

Yes, If he had said nothing, You all would be yowling about how cold and calculating he was!!! There is nothing that he can possibly do to please you.
If he quit,, you would be saying See that proves he did it!!! If he stays, He will be forever guilty,, even though the four people that she says were there, all deny that "ANY" of them remember "ANY" thing about the ALLEGED party!!
Why is His yearbook so important and hers is not??
::sigh:: When you're applying for a job, do you demand to see the credentials of the person interviewing you?

I think the only thing in my yearbook is my name and the portrait I submitted. We didn't even have senior quotes, and I don't think they listed any clubs we participated in. My yearbook would prove that I had barely registered as 'alive' and had no impact.

I'm not even in my Senior yearbook. I had to change schools middle of my Jr year & I hated the school I had to transfer to. I skipped picture day completely, I skipped picture day for VOE. I only had to take 2 classes my Sr year & was out of school by 10:30 am, had to be at my VOE job by 2 pm. I'm a name with no photographic evidence that I ever attended. I didn't even bother to make friends there. I left every morning & went to my old high school to have lunch with my friends. I'd bet that there's only 1 or 2 people that would even remember me from the school I graduated from.

Hell, my sophomore year book, they have my name and someone else's picture! No comments. Junior year, we were taken in batches. Senior year, the only thing next to our picture was the school events we were involved in. There is absolutely nothing associated with me or my pic where I'd be embarrassed.

I have no idea what is in my hs yearbook and it was burned up in a fire in some storage area when my husband and I were living in sin at age 18 in a room in the frat house with our pals that were doing the same. Live was good and the only problem that cropped up was with someone pulling the fire drill so we all made the choice to risk going up in flames if it was not a false alarm as we did not want to get busted.
I lived in a college town in high school with a great college football team at the time as well as the place the pro football team practiced so we had better things to do than stick around at the hs as we would walk the 60 seconds across the street to check out the guys. They were of more interest than the options at the hs. And of course no one would ever mention a thing to our parents so we were kind enough to let the parents live in clueless peace.

We did not allow sleep overs or women living in my frat house. In fact no females were allowed up stairs during parties. They were afraid everyone would go upstairs and there'd be no party. There were a lot of commuting students. Living in the house was important to us out of town students.

Just because it isn't allowed means it needs to be viewed as a life challenge to be over come not something to just accept. ( just kidding
I have to tell you it would hard to imagine anyone out there that could have possibly had more fun with a core group of like minded living in sinners as our group of 6 couples. And get this. My husband and a total of 4 of the guys were captains of sports teams at a time when that enabled a lot of looking the other way or else it quite clear there was not going to be the same extent of the winning and that isn't good for the money coming into the school.
But and get this .... their was an attempt at a shake down. In fact can you believe it , the females in the group were told there would ber no free rides not even the few on a plane for anyone that was not married to the person actually playing the game. Now isn't that outrageous? Even cheering had to fork up their own bucks and ride in a cramped van. Hard to cope with that , trust me. So all of us still 18 got married!
Now really get this one , as every possible odd stated out their for a great long marriage , we were told we were doomed. So many years later , now I even have one grandson as do others , and not a one of the couples has separated or divorced and no matter where in the world we have been every single year at least once usually more we get together and pick up the conversation where we left off. So fun. As life has it we have each had our times of despair , and for a couple of the couples there has even been the loss of a child so just gut wrenching times in there. We went to the college where the football coach , Coach Lengyel , just a great great man and wife and family , picked up and moved to a college that had lost almost the entire football team in a tragic plane crash. Each and every year we get together with the coach and his wife Sandy , " Our strong bonds will never be broken , they will never die .... " ( our song ).

" I will never do anything to not honor his name."If so and u mean it..I suggest give up on the Donald as our P OTUS and hope for a different candidate for a new member of the SCOTUS...rather then the one now being pushed for the job...he's not qualified...especially for such a important position , basically a life time appointment...and just possible some healing will come to this country u claim to love so much.

My sister's senior yearbook said she'd be the next Timothy McVeigh. There was a girl that didn't like her on yearbook, and no one caught it before printing. The principal made an apology at graduation, but the yearbooks are still out there.

I am thinking you are not aware of my strong opinion that Merrick Garland would have been the right thing to do and to have on the Supreme Court and he was acceptable to both sides of the isle until Mitch decided to take the low road and make it clear he had a problem when it came to integrity.
I have no doubt in my mind that our country would be better to not be so divided and not be so committed to radical right or left absurdity , as obviously getting to more moderation with justices and senators and house members would serve our country much better than rigid vitriolic uncompromising hate their neighbor just because they can kind of people.
I could never vote personally for a man for anything at all even head pooper scooper that was repulsive enough to have mocked a disabled man. I don't plan to wish anyone ill will though. I just will do the best that I can encourage less vitriolic candidates.

I bet they still have time to get all the Federalist judges they need. Had they put Garland on, the resistance would be less vitriol. But now, the only time we will fill spots is when the white house and Senate belong to the same party. It could be the death of us.

Seriously though , I have some faith in the younger generation and somehow I think over all they don't have that same need to go back to be as controlling and do not have the same fear internally to maintain what was rather than get more creative to evolve into a future that can be better in our country for more of us.
I wonder sometimes if some leader within the less tainted and rigid group will come along that kind of has that Bobby Kennedy kind of thinking ...
Some leader with that vision that can unite and excite us as nation again , someone that has lived through a life event where despite being human so never perfect but able to have a compasssion very deep for all of us along with that special kind of it factor and great leadership abilities and an unusual type of intellect while reaching the common man and the struggling man too. Less selfish would not hurt I think either.

Didn't they study American history ? Even the 60s ?

As long as there is not campaign reform, DC will never change. The lobbyist rule this country, why we don't understand that is beyond me....both sides, one is as corrupt as the other. It's not about what is best for the country, it's what will get me re-elected...so I can become one of the entitled elite. What is hard to see, unless you see the world through the lens of a certain type of powerful man—like Trump, like McConnell—is that the picture that has emerged about Kavanaugh’s past, far from marking him as unfit, signals that he is trustworthy. It shows that Kavanaugh is there for the guys. Most of all, he knows how the world works: Ordinary rules are for ordinary people. They do not apply to the entitled elite—and he will fight to keep it that way.www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2018/09/why-do-republicans-still-support-brett-kavanaugh/571699/
