WW Smart Ones were $1.67 each at Publix. One of the packages had a B7G1 coupon. So that ended up being $1.46 each. They are a decent lunch especially when I add a pear fruit cup that I also got B1G1 free. The lunch is less than $2 total.
I also bought a box of individual packs of fig newtons that were B1G1 free to take to school.
I need a snack since I eat breakfast at 5 a.m. and lunch at 1:30. I just can't make it that long without one.

An old co-worker told me about a savings card to cover Botox co-pays. I'm totally skeptical but I signed up. I'll have to see what happens.
Since I was off early due to my doctor's appointment I got a half price slush at Sonic.

It was payday yesterday:
Saved 28% = $125.58 off my monthly grocery order last night by shopping the sales, and using paper and e-coupons.
Saved .50/gallon at the pump using my grocery value card.
Saved $12.75 using coupons at Wally World this morning.
Paying bills: At home, we try to be as frugal as possible when it comes to propane and electricity to keep those bills down. My electric was up here at the office, and I'm thinking it's because of the space heater use for the past 2 months. I doubled up on socks today to avoid turning it on.
Cell: I'm thinking about shutting off the tablet account. I don't use it like I thought it would. That will save $16+ a month.
Mortgage: I'd like to get that down, but rates are going up, up, up from what I understand and we are currently getting a fantastic rate. Not time to refinance.
Ordered a 90 day supply for my RX, which saves me money and time standing in line.
Doubling the amount due on my ccard to get it paid down quicker.
Happy weekend, everyone!

I walked the local mall, three rounds. My reward was buying Java Chunk ice cream. I passed on the ice cream with the decision that I did not need the calories. I eat that flavor faster than any other! Three Saves - burn calories, the money and uneaten calories. I had no idea I was so efficient! ! ! !

My water and sewer utility finally set up a system where you could pay with a credit card and not be charged extra. So, I got on that, set up auto-pay, and now I can pay another bill and get 2% back (so about $4/month. We have cheap electricity, but expensive water/sewer, and I never go above the base usage tier.)

I can't decide if I have saved money or not yet.
One of the art teachers at our school has taken off like a rocket. He's a sculpture, and his stuff is in galleries internationally.
He also does prints, and I was able to buy one for only $30! It was actually 1/out of however many. I've been his fan for a long time.
But when I priced framing it at Michael's, it was $125 with a 70% sale and without a mat. It didn't look good with any of the mats she showed it with.
I cannot decide what to do. That's a lot to frame a $30 print. I did get a $25 gift card recently and have $50 in credit card points so $50 oop.
But still . . .
So I can't decide if this is a save/spend yet.

Small shopping trip at Wal-Mart, paid with a discounted gift card and scanned the receipt at home for a few rebates with Ibotta, Saving Star and Checkout 51. Also redeemed some Safeway Monopoly game coupons for free items (gravy mix, bottle of tea and an 8 oz can of tomato sauce). They were out of the single size box of animal crackers (another freebie).

I stayed home again and started a new Quilt of Valor.. This time it will be given to a member of The Order of Purple Hearts.
All the fabric, batting and backing will come from my stash of patriotic colors.

You can make your own frames. Wood trim choices at Menards type store. Finish the frame with color or stain. I'm sure there is a how to on the internet. A miter box is inexpensive. The mats can also be made but you need a cutting mat and and exacto type knife as well as good measuring skills. H. used a very weathered piece of board to make frames for family photos for the whole family. The board had meaning for all of us but I have forgotten over time what it was. Another option would be a school aged wood worker class. Check garage sales or 2nd hand for old framed pictures and recycle. DD used an heirloom to frame a painting. Best wishes!

I poured the remaining coffee in my cup and insulated mug to reheat tomorrow morning while waiting for fresh pot. Sometimes I put the remaining coffee in a large jar in the refrigerator.

Found a quarter on the floor board of my truck. Instead of staying and paying for two full entrees, I bought DH and me an ap and a few drinks last night at a going away party for a friend. We then went home and had leftovers. He had nacho fixings, and I had leftover corned beef hash. Yum!

Parked in the further away garage from training and I had a coupon code. Savings of $19. I did park in the hotel garage yesterday as I wasn't sure what conditions the sidewalks would be in after the snow Tuesday and Wednesday.

This weekend: I drank tea instead of coffee yesterday in an effort to reduce the tea stash. Used up some aging blueberries by baking bread, used up some of DH's very large bag of walnuts making Spicy Deviled Walnuts, and rummaged through the fridge and pantry and divided olives, pickles, pepperoncini and trail mix into small containers for lunches.

Yesterday I spent an hour trimming 40 pounds of boneless/skinless chicken breasts and dividing them into foodsaver bags for the freezer. The cost was $1.49/lb, which is unheard of in our area anymore. It's all in the freezer now.
I've been given a garbage bag full of fabric scraps, so I used some of those to make quilt blocks for a swap I'm participating in (so far I have mice and roosters done, and am going to make cows, donkeys, and sheep to finish my five sets). Receiving scraps from my fellow quilters has helped keep my urge to shop for more fabric down.
I'll probably go see another movie with my moviepass this afternoon or tonight. That will be movie #26! I've seen more movies in the theater this year than I think I've seen in all the years before, combined. Since I don't buy drinks or snacks, it's been an incredible deal, and I like to see the "cost per movie" average drop with each movie I see.

We're out of cream after last night's crepe recipe, so I used butter in my coffee this morning. It's called bullet proof coffee. Check it out via Google.

Instead of buying a $45 (!!!!) pinata for the neighbor's tween at a local carniceria, I went to WM and bought a pinata AND fillings for $21.
Today I'm meeting a client friend for lunch next door instead of driving downtown.
Instead of buying an entire pizza tonight, I'm going to pick up some fresh cheesy bread and we'll eat it with the ton of fridge leftovers we have.

I'm shopping today, for things other than food, for the first time in who knows how long. I used a 20% off coupon at BB&B for a vacuum for my parents ($26 off), then combined a 30% coupon with an anniversary gift card and big sale for some snazzy new underwear and a wallet that were definitely needed. I'm about to wander into TJ Maxx to look at purses. my current purse/wallet are probably 8 years old and have been showing their age.

Safeway has been doing their monopoly game again, and I've received 4 free 8 oz tomato sauce cans, and 2 gravy mixes.
I make my own gravy, so will use the mixes to beef up the flavor in a shepherd's pie or a casserole. I'll use the sauces when I want to have some pizza sauce, but don't need enough to open one of my homemade jars of sauce (we can those in 12 oz jars). I'll be able to just add spices and go. Not sure if there are any other free items on the cards, as that's all I've seen so far.

ha. I saved a ton of $ because I didn't love any of the shoes or purses. I am going to go online when I get home and see what I can find on the dsw website. I've got a coupon for there, and the stuff I was looking at is on sale. I liked a few things, but something was just off. we shall see.

Yesterday I saved money by preparing our Easter brunch at home instead of eating out. It was about $40.00 total for 3 adults and 2 teens. I think they all enjoyed it just as much, and no crowds!

<OT kinda> I didn't have any money in the stock market. Likely saved me quite a bit.
Back to reality.

This year instead of a half, I bought a 1/4 ham for DH and me, which I turned into 4 meals: By itself with sides for 2 suppers, ham, egg, diced tomato and cheese roll-ups for another, and there was still some leftover for DH's lunches. As usual, bought generic allergy pills instead of brand name. Bought a little too much 50% off Easter candy while at the store yesterday. Filled up the gas tank while I was on that side of town. Saved .03/gallon using my grocery value card.

My DH is dumping direc tv for Comcast entirely. Said it will save $90/month plus faster internet. It's a 2 year price lock. I hope in two years that we are close to moving out of the townhouse.

I bought some groceries at Publix today and noticed that luncheon meat (ham) was on sale. But when I got to the register, it didn't ring up that way. To be fair, I didn't save money. The cashier did for me. My response was, "I thought this was on sale. You can take it off." His response was, "Let me send someone to check." It was on sale, and Publix has something called the Publix Promise. That means that it rings up correctly or it is free. So I got $4 worth of ham for free. So free ham sandwiches for lunch the rest of the week.

There's a fancy cooking store even more expensive than Williams Sonoma and i usually go there just to drool. Yesterday they had dish towels buy one get one free so i bought two. Both yellow. One has pineapples on it and the other has lemons. DD has two pairs of yellow Toms with one pair having lemons and the other pineapples. Plus, i finally found the German Shepherd cookie cutter that i wanted to buy her last Christmas. I also got a horse one. She’ll be pleased and surprised when ahe gets this in the mail!! Yellow is her accent color in her house so its very approproriate.

Made sure I used up the rest of the sunflower oil (I "won" a bottle at a raffle-I've never worked with it before and decided I wouldn't ever buy it) before purchasing a bottle of our usual store brand canola oil.
Monday's ham roll-ups with leftover Easter ham resulted in 4 meals. Crazy. As of last night, it's gone. Yay!
Found some old-ish instant coffee in the pantry yesterday, which I'll consume this weekend. I still need to work on the tea stash....
Wiped down and organized the fridge interior. I grouped condiments into sections to avoid possible duplication for future grocery savings: Ketchups/mustards/mayos/horseradish, "ethnic" sauces, salad dressings, jams/jellies/preserves, drink mixers, wine/liqueurs, and pickled items: Pickles/pepperoncini/olives. Looks pretty good, IMO!
Reused a gift bag and tissue for a 'tween's birthday present last weekend.
I decorated the house with the 20-year-old Easter decorations (ALL were gifts over the years). I refuse to buy these type of dust collectors.
Pulled leftover riced cauliflower from the freezer to make sushi tonight with last night's leftover salmon. I also pulled some sad looking frozen chicken breasts to use in a stir fry tonight. That will use up leftover pineapple and it's juice.
