I didn't go out to eat today although I sort of wanted to. But then I couldn't think of what I might want.

A one day sale at one of the sporting goods stores has cooling weighted blankets. I sure hope I get one before they are gone. We aren't going shopping until after lunch. We also have other coupon deals then the 2nd hand store.

I had Abby groomed on Friday, and she has been scratching ever since. I noticed her neck was taking the brunt of it.
When I took her to the vet (the grooming was done onsite), the vet blamed it on an allergy to the shampoo they used. She got a shot and an antibiotic. The visit and meds were at no charge.
And I was contemplating waiting it out until I saw her neck.

Our Federal tax refund was credited to our account this morning and was sent on as a principal-only payment on the mortgage a minute or two later. My future self will be happy but my present self suffered a few pangs of self pity.

I cancelled my $80 a month gym membership since I haven't used it but once in the past year. Looking for other ways to trim my budget.

Yesterday ate the lunch I brought from home. Even though I really wanted to pick up fast food or go out for dinner I went home and ate food I had on hand.
Today it would have been easy to go out to breakfast but fixed food I had on hand.

My DIL took me thrift store shopping the other day. I found a brand new pair of Alfred Dunner pants (tags attached) in a cream color for $3. I'm in the process of hemming them, but it was a find.

I had a bit of a coffee table debacle. Coffee table I wanted became unavailable everywhere, just as I was able to order it. Amazon wanted $273 from a third party, Walmart want $243 from the same third party. Ordered from Walmart only to find out a week later that the third party vendor didn't have it, so order canceled. Found it in NC at a small place with free shipping for $217. Shipped out Friday, so if it arrives undamaged, I somehow saved $26.

Simple everyday frugal activities: mixed up a double batch of laundry soap, line dried two loads of laundry, meals from the freezer and pantry. Ordered some vitamin supplements on-line from Wal-Mart but the order isn't scheduled to be here until the 6th of April ((fingers crossed). The other supplements I wanted to stock up on at Safeway have been unavailable (in store and on-line) for almost two weeks.
Gardening (weeding flower beds), watching old movies and reading books from our "in-home library" helps to pass the time without spending money.

Going to get 2 collars at a discount store instead of Walmart. Think I can get cheaper.

I got 2 bottles of Shampoo, Head and Shoulders and Selsun Blue with a coupon from CVS. Would have been $20 and got them for $6.40. Everything is so expensive.
Got hubs 2 boxes of plain old corn flakes at our local grocery, $5.39 each. He was out, but when I go to the city and get 2 big boxes at Big Lots for $2.50 each.
At Rural King yesterday got 100 pounds of cat litter, 2 bags for $9.99 each. The guy there told me I can get horse bedding for about $2 a bag, he said a lot of folks are using it for cat litter. I'm afraid to change, they may not use their boxes. But I'm going to get some and blend it. He said it absorbs really well. Litter is outrageous at Walmart.
