Dammit! My boss sent out an email that she has chocolate bars for sale. Less than 5 minutes later I was sitting at my desk eating one. I have no self control.

My eating has been all over the place the last few days. I started a new medication to help with my migraines that has a side effect of appetite loss. I can't decide if that's what causing this, or if it's that TOM, or something else. I'm either ravenous or feel stuffed to the max. I skipped breakfast this morning, which I think has more to do with trying to run outside in the heat and humidity and over doing it, than my medication. I give it another hour before I want to eat anything I can find here at the office. And of course I'm out of bananas and yogurt and other relatively healthy stuff b/c DH decided he didn't feel like grocery shopping yesterday. Grr.

Yesterday was decent food wise. I had a bowl of watermelon for breakfast, a Cesar salad for lunch, and spaghetti squash and meat sauce (ground turkey) and a salad with homemade salad dressing for dinner.
Today I'm have a green fruit smoothie for breakfast, I brought lunch of baked chicken, a salad with the dressing from last night, and a small serving of fresh fruit. I also brought a few sticks of cheese for a snack. I have no idea what dinner will be tonight. I may just stop for a rotisserie chicken on the way home and call it a day. We have plenty of salad left from last night.

Well, I'm glad you're back atlantapenny , but I do hope you're not heading towards diabetes. Thank you! Thankfully I am not in that territory (got test results back today), but I still need to try harder to avoid heading that direction.

Who knew bbq sauce had so many carbs? I'm completely disgusted that nearly half my intake today came from a stupid sauce.

This carbs thing has been enlightening as to how much carbs are in stuff. Like bananas! Who knew!!!

I did much better today. And this included going out to lunch. Also, I had plans to make breakfast for dinner, but since I was the only one home, I made the bacon then called it good enough. So, dinner was bacon. Just bacon

There's absolutely nothing wrong with bacon for dinner. I'm actually quite jealous. I wish I had thought of that.

I am on day 5 of the keto diet. I am sure it is water weight, but I am down 3 pounds. I've also used the elliptical 5 days in a row (don't laugh - I am only up to 12 minutes a day - but I figure it is a start?).

Friday 6/22: 24 carbs
And that concludes my low carb diet. I hit my goal plus a couple more pounds for a buffer. Now to transition back to eating more variety without going crazy.

The week of smoothies for breakfast has started paying off I think. I had eggs this morning since I didn't want to have to keep track of the cup that goes to my blender. I really like the smoothies though. It's a good break from oatmeal. I'm not committing to smoothies only, but I will put them into my rotation more often.

You just start small and increase as you feel comfortable.

Won't it just come right back? Low carb is a lifestyle, not a temporary diet. Probably, if I went full bore high carb, but my normal eating tends to be lower carb anyway. Not much pasta or bread, more veggies than fruit. So even increasing carbs, I'll probably still average under 60-70 a day, and I think I can maintain on that.

So I have gained 2 inches in my chest. I have a couple of shirts I'm going to give to Thing 2 as they are too tight in the arms and chest now. I'm becoming a beast!

I had a pretty good week. Hit all my goals, which rarely happens.
70,000 steps - check lose those couple of pounds - yep weights 5/7 days - shocker, I actually did 5 days
Tomorrow I'm getting cortisone shots in my ankles. Ouch, but I hope it helps, and that I can start moving better. I think I have about a week and a half left in this boot thing. Really can't wait until my shoes match each other again!
This week: aim for 75,000 steps weights 5/7 days - I probably need to increase the weight a bit maintain the weight loss, so no big carb binges
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Hit step goal by 2000.
I think this weeks step goal will be 75000. It is going to be a long week at work so I need to get out the door this morning.
If I get home from work at a reasonable time I will update my calories for last week. Hope to keep eating in check this week. Not sure if I will be posting calories and carbs this week.
Keep up the good work everyone.
Have a great week.
