I only count water. I drink lots of unsweetened tea, but most of it has caffeine, which I need to cut down on.

I just count water. Coffee is counted as coffee. Also, did the rest of you get the security breach notice from MFP? I did. My Facebook account is how I log in, so it said I had to disconnect FB to change my password. I must have tried 5 times on 3 different browsers and it still wouldn't put my password change through, so I had to delete my account and create a new one.

I got the same notification. I need to change it. Luckily it's not linked to my Facebook.

I drink way too much coffee, so I've been trying to increase my non-coffee liquid intake. Therefore, I only count water or water with Crystal Light (as long as it's the non-caffeinated stuff). It doesn't cut down on the amount of coffee I drink, but I have this vague hope it negates it a little
I forgot to check in yesterday. I had a good week. Nearly 96,000 steps. Weights 6/7 days. One hike.
This week I have company staying with me Wed-Sun, so I'm not going to set any definite goals. I'll just try to get as many steps in as possible, do at least a few days of weights, and not go too far off the rails with eating.
Hope everyone had a great Easter, and you all are enjoying this first week of April!

I ate a burnt end sandwich yesterday with french fries and it messed me all up. I felt like crap. I also started my period so that made it even worse. I went to the gym anyway but wasn't worth a darn. I hope I can do better today.

Stupid question regarding doing planks. Isn't it basically doing a push-up but just staying in one position? I'm trying to start core crap but I keep wondering if there is more to it than just that. Apparently my core is in better shape than I thought since strength-training doesn't kill me. Yet.

The ones I drink are all caffeine-free. WTF?!?!?! Tea B A G S are respected tea party members? Alrighty then.

I've done that version and they are hard as f*ck. Of course, I'm also that weak. I don't do the full "push up" position because my wrists are already angry little buggers and I don't want to hold weight on them like that. I am also no expert.

I’ve always been of the impression that a regular plank was on the forearms. I do know there are and sometimes attempt side planks and “hold out opposite arm & leg” planks. I’ve seen crazy people put their feet up on something, but I’ve never tried that.

I do planks on my forearms. I've seen people extend the arms, but I don't.

I always do planks on my forearms. In PT I also had to do side planks and then graduated to side planks with leg lifts, so I sometimes still do those.

in yoga the extended arm plank is part of a sun salutation, so it's done a lot. Usually some forearm planks are thrown in too (grumble, grumble).

Went to the gym with the family yesterday. It was my DH's turn to hang with the kids in the pool, so I hit the upstairs gym. Did elliptical and some rowing. It was nice to change up my routine. I'm thinking about buying into some group exercise classes for Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Barre! This will probably sound weird, but it really bugs me that they don't have mirrors for it. How can I check my form without a mirror?

I had a pretty good week as far as exercise - 92,000 steps and two hikes. Eating was atrocious, so I'll just gloss over that part. I had a really nice time with family though, so it was completely worth it.
This week I'm having surgery on my foot Thursday. I don't know what my goals will be for the six weeks following it since I can't hike, or even walk for that matter. No gym (like I was really going to go anyway lol). All I can really control is my diet, so I need to think about doing something different with that.
Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Almost hit 70,000 steps last week. Had I known I was that close I would have walked around some more after my Fitbit was charged.
Going to try and do better with water this week. We leave Thursday for Mexico. I'm ready for vacation. And I hope it's humid as all get out because I'm tired of having a sore and bloody nose. My humidifier is not cutting it.

My zumba instructor is out of town until Thursday so my gym routine will be a little different this week. Tonight I'm going to Pilates. Tomorrow is boxing. Wednesday is supposed to be 70 degrees so I'm playing hooky and taking the twins to the dog park instead. I may get into the gym for some strength training, but I doubt it. Thursday will be back to my regular routine.

I went to Pilates last night. I don't think it's really my thing. It was good, and my muscles were burning the whole time, but I need much higher impact. I like to go into the gym and go balls to the walls and then be done. Tonight is boxing. That ought to be good. Maybe I'll go to bootcamp tomorrow.

Check out some of the chair workouts on youtube. I looked but didn't do much of anything last time I twisted my ankle and it was angry about basic movement for a month.

Boxing messed me all up. My arms and legs are so sore! I may have to go to boxing once a week to get those muscles I'm not already working going. The second day is always the worst too so tomorrow is going to suck.

Weekly check in (such as it is):
48,000 steps - 99% of them before Thursday. And that about sums up my week's accomplishments
I'm going back to work tomorrow, and I'm kind of stressed about how I'm going to manage this for six weeks, not about while I'm at work so much as getting back and forth. I'll make it work, but what a PITA it's going to be.
My friend came to visit me today and brought me a Mt. Dew as a treat. If any of you remember, it's one of the things I gave up last year when I first tried low-carbing it, and I haven't had one since. OMG it was so good. But it got me thinking, I used to pretty much eat whatever I wanted in moderation - no banned foods - and weighed a few pounds less than I weigh now. I wonder if I could go back to that. Right now, I'll eat bread or pasta once in a great while, almost no fruit (I do eat veggies), drink diet soda (which I never, ever drank before). Basically low-ish carb all the time. And it's gotten really old. And like I said, I weigh a couple pounds more now, so why? I know I'm not as active all day having a desk job, so that's part of it, but I wonder if my metabolism finally changed as I've gotten older, or if I'm making myself miserable when I could go back to eating like I used to with no weight difference. So that's one of my goals for the next few weeks. I'm going to eat carbs if I want carbs and drink a flipping Mt. Dew if I want one, and see if eating what I want (again, in moderation) really makes any difference in my weight. Maybe I've been going without for no good reason. Or I'll gain a bunch and be really sad, but then I'll know.
I also picked two chair exercise videos, about 10 minutes each, so I'll start with those every day to try to maintain some leg muscle.
So those are my goals - 20 minutes of sitting down exercise and eat normal food lol. Wish me luck!

It was a beautiful weekend here, and I had to work Saturday. Inside. 3 hours from home. UGH! What a waste of a nice day. And of course it poured rain late yesterday and is forecast to continue raining through tomorrow. I did get quite a few steps in yesterday before the rain came. Good luck flutterby with your current goals. I hope the time off your feet flies by!
