Yes. Except thankfully no Antwan’s got in trouble. I’m sure the police knew she did it immediately but put on a show pretending to look for “Antwan.”

Always a black man who is the bogeyman when it comes to mothers and their later found dead children (Susan Smith for example).

Police and social workers are investigating a Florida mother who was filmed repeatedly dunking her 3-year-old son’s head in a toilet and flushing it. Kaitlyn Wolf, of Leesburg, said she received death threats after a video of her giving her son a “swirly” went viral. Wolf said the video wasn’t intended to be posted on Facebook. She told WKMG she sent the video to someone “for a laugh,” but the footage was posted online. Wolf said the video was taken out of context and that her son was laughing. Look, I don't even have kids and I know the difference between a kid laughing and one who's crying. And define "out of context" for me, wouldya? How far out of context are we talking here? And you actually had the lack of common sense to not only do this, but send the video to someone? Did you think you were just going to get away with this? Because every mom sticks little Johnny's cranium in the commode for a nice cleansing "swirly" (whatever THAT is, locks the bathroom door and says, "Don't come a' knocking because there's a noggin rockin'!"

The biggest/obvious difference is that you would care. Besides her video was taken out of context, don'tcha know? And since he was laughing (according to her) it should obviously be repeated and recorded, then sent to others. Funny, no one else was able to distinguish the sound of his "laughter" or the look on his face, as someone having a great time. Isn't this what every mother of a 3 yr old does, to entertain the kid?

Did you see the story about the woman who was denied service at Taco Bell, because she didn't speak Spanish? It really was in Florida! LOL This is the ABC news link: Taco Bell

This is a better video. Not a news story - or at least what I have watched so far isn't... (Taco Bell)

Speaking of men not wearing pants (or much else):
Neighbors are complaining about a Florida man who's apparently getting a little too comfortable in the area. They claim the man, who lives in Stuart, frequently does outdoor chores completely nude.
And witnesses of the nudity say they've seen enough.
"He works on his car, and he does it naked and everyone has called the police, he is just out there doing his yard work ... naked," Melissa Ny, one of the man's neighbors, told WBPF-News.
Charlie Estes, another neighbor, voiced concerns about kids potentially seeing the naked man.
"Have some respect ... Kids catch the bus here. It’s wrong," Estes added.
Indecent exposure is illegal in public places in the state. But while some may be disturbed by the man’s choice to go in the nude, officials with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office previously told WBPF-News they're unable to take any action against him because the man is on private property and is “not touching himself inappropriately."
Martin County Sheriff William Snyder told Fox News on Wednesday authorities are currently in the process of obtaining a warrant to arrest the man if he is spotted in the nude again.
Oh, I dunno. I think these days, kids see stuff on the Internet that's riskier than a man torquing his wheels with his tinkler out, or weeding while his wanker gets a little sun. With all the other hate and disrespect going out out there, I think it's kinda nice to see a guy comfy in his own skin, even if the skin he's in isn't the stuff of a centerfold hottie. Now, it's different matter if he calls over to your aged grandma and yells, "Hey there, cutie...wanna play snake in the grass with me?"

This is a better video. Not a news story - or at least what I have watched so far isn't... (Taco Bell) This happens ALL the time in S FL. Those who live there are used to it. Most employees will at least try to take your order though. When DS was visiting My parents in Miami, he tried to call in a pizza order at Pizza Hut, and had to get through 3 different people to get to someone who could take his order. Most fast food places and supermarkets in the area will require you speak Spanish to work there, but not English. It is terrible customer service though to not even try to take an order. It is not that hard to communicate a fast food order, escpecially if you just pick a number.

My child on the other hand... I don't even want to think about it. (Anybody got room in their freezer?

Not a Flori-duh, but should be: A bar in Ohio has lost its liquor license after undercover agents said they were able to purchase drugs and lap dances using food stamps. WHIO television station in Dayton reports Sharkey's, also known under the name Twenty Two Fifty Inc., is an adult entertainment establishment that has been under investigation since May of 2017...
OK, so I have a question. This place has been under investigation for over a year? Just wondering how long it takes to figure out the obvious. Patron hands over food stamps, gets drugs and in-your-face time. I'm thinking this should not take over a year to figure out. Unless the investigators were posing as the patrons, and just had to keep going back to make absolutely, positively, danged fer sure no doubt about it that this activity was happening. Forty-four charges were filed. Golly gee, I'm thinking about half that number would have been okey-dokey and take less time.

It would never occur to me to bake cookies on a George Foreman grill. The temp is probably too high even if you had one with flat plates. Its interesting there were several items on fire and apparently not just the cookies and the grill.

Busted! A Maryland man is facing a simple assault charge after using a dog leash to lead his wife around a Pennsylvania fair because she has late-stage dementia. West Manchester police say Walter Wolford yanked the 8-inch long, red, nylon leash, causing his wife's head to jerk back and leaving red marks around her throat. But the 66-year-old Hagerstown man says he only gently tugged on the leash, which he uses to keep his wife from getting lost. Authorities say that on Saturday, the officer called to the York Fair to speak to the woman, but she didn't know where she was, didn't know her name and couldn't form words. Wolford said he attached the leash to his wife's waist but it somehow moved up around her neck.OMG! First of all, if it was an 8" long leash, how did he attach it around her waist? The leash moved from her waist to her neck, without him noticing?! And it magically stopped there? If his only concern is that she not get lost, why was he "gently" tugging on the leash? So many things about this are wrong, not to mention questionable! www.wmtw.com/article/man-accused-of-tugging-ailing-wife-with-leash-at-fair/23300108

And the wife must be in her late stage of early onset Alzheimer's disease if she is around the same age as her husband.

One thing the article gets wrong, and I checked the internet and a number of articles about this couple got it wrong too is the 8-inch long leash. How can an 8-inch long leash girdle a woman's waist. How can an 8-inch long leash girdle a woman's neck when the average circumference of a woman's neck is 13.5 inches and for the waist, 37.5 inches.
Several articles stated it was a dog leash 8 feet long which makes far more sense, at least for the length of the leash.

I also have to question his story about it being on her waist to begin with. That would mean she got it up over not only her breasts, but over her arms and shoulders, and then decided to tighten it around her neck, rather than take it off. All without him noticing. -I don't believe that. Nor do I believe that he came to the conclusion he should "gently tug" on the leash ("so she didn't get lost"), without him noticing the leash was around her neck and not her waist. Perhaps she is a great magician, with dementia, who can't speak or form words. Or he thinks people are really stupid (will believe his ridiculous story). I agree, it is a very sad story. I'm glad he was arrested for the way he treated her. But I hope she had someplace to go (other family?) when they arrested him.

I too don't feel bad the husband was arrested. It was wrong. But I do have some sympathy for him. He is probably overwhelmed with trying to take care of his wife who I do believe suffers from dementia. My mom had Alzheimer's disease. Her bizarre waking hours were disturbing my dad's sleep and health. So we had to move mom into a Alzheimer's'/dementia facility which also had an assisted living section too. Once mom was safely in the facility my father was able to get some rest. But after three weeks, my dad missed mom. Dad qualified to be in the assisted living section so we moved him there. That way, dad was able to visit mom daily and share his meals with her too. The man in the story needs to do something like that for his wife. For the husband, life with his wife is no longer what it was 5, 10, 30 years ago. Life has changed for both of them and the husband needs to realize this and adjust to the new reality.

I used to go over once a week and stay with her, so he could get out for a bit. (run errands, take a computer class, etc) Caring for a person with this illness is anything but easy. However, if you are unable to do it, you need to make other arrangements. Abuse is never okay. If he couldn't find/afford alternate care, and this was his way of getting out of the house, he should have really put the thing around her waist, or on her wrist or something. Around her neck was unacceptable. My daughter doesn't even attach a leash to her dogs at the neck. I didn't on my ferret either. His story was BS. (IMO)

And a story that gives new meaning to "cleaning your clock:" A Florida woman faces a criminal charge after authorities say she battered her husband with a vacuum cleaner attachment while cleaning their house. The Pasco County Sheriff's Office charged 31-year-old Holly Akers Tuesday with one count of felony battery on a person 65 years or older. An arrest affidavit says Akers began arguing with her husband, Charles Plagens, after she was cleaning their house in the middle of the night. The Tampa Bay Times reports Plagens moved from room to room to try to sleep but Akers kept following him with the vacuum cleaner. He says she struck him on the nose with an attachment, causing a minor abrasion that didn't require medical treatment... All righty, where do we start here? She's 31, he is over 65 and they are husband and wife. She is vacuuming in the middle of the night. He tried to go to a different room to sleep, but she just kept hovering over him with the Hoover, intent on a tidy house no matter the hour. And what is up with Pasco County, anyway? That seems to be the epicenter for the DUH in Florid-duh. Just a lot of madness in that county.
And this is her photo? Scary? I think she should consider riding a broom.

And I don't want to disturb people, so I don't (wouldn't even if there weren't quiet hours). Since I wouldn't want to disturb others unnecessarily, I guess my comparison doesn't really compare at all. However, I will say, the story above is not at all what I expected to read. I expected a different kind of use / abuse with the vacuum cleaner tool. -Just sayin'.
