That was so wrong. Jackson's are totally SBD. I bet the ones that dog is ripping don't clear a room.

zibazinski - I cannot remember which thread it was where you told us about your cat with the flatulence problem, so I am posting this here. But was your cat's problem anything like this dog's? No, his are SBD's- silent but deadly.

Our childhood dog's were SBDs too. Could clear out a room in 2 seconds.

A dog from down the street got loose and came into my yard to sniff Jackson. His owner was standing across the street yelling for his dog. I told him that he could come grab him. He said he was afraid of Jackson which I found laughable. I told him that he didn't bite but he wouldn't come get his dog until I grabbed Jackson and held him. I found it amusing that he had another "aggressive" dog breed yet was afraid of my "aggressive" breed of dog. He had a pit and I have a Doberman. Ha!

If I were Virgil, I would be compelled to point out this might be yet another plus for the dog column.

Not really. I've never seen a cat clear a room.

True. But he make you look for the poop you swear he just left on the bed or the sofa right next to you.

I dunno. But the pit seemed like a very sweet dog. It was dark and I wasn't paying attention to whether it was a boy or girl. But it was a very stocky dog, so I imagine it was a boy. Its name was Oreo, so that's kinda gender neutral in my mind. It did get loose another time a couple of weeks ago and ran into the neighbor's yard. There were kids playing and they were scared and started crying. They play with Jackson all the time, so I think it was because it is a dog they don't know. Either way, these people need to keep better track of their dog. Pit bulls are banned in my county, so they may end up having animal control seizing their dog and euthanizing it. They really should find it a new home, because it's not fair to a dog if something were to happen just because their owner didn't want to obey an ordinance.

I remember walking one of my pits very late at night. I had no fear because this dog would take a bullet for me. I ran into what looked like a street gang behind a school.(I wanted the dog to run off some energy on the football field.)
The dog didn't faze them a bit. The rat on my shoulder did.
One guy approached me and then let out a yell. "Watch out!! She's got a rat! Run!" You should have seen them scatter!
It was the funniest thing!!

I really hope it's nice enough after work to take Jackson for a walk. It's going to snow this weekend, so we can't go to the dog park.

Andi, I'll try to find the You tube video of German Shephard Husky puppies after work. For now, maybe a Siberian Husky Dad plays with his puppies will do.
Snowing here. Need to go to work. Boss gave 30 day notice. And ... its her Friday, she has the weekend off. I however, don't get a day off until Wednesday again. Its my Friday-Tuesday and its snowing.

I thought the one wrestling mom's tail while the others were nursing to be hilarious.

Kinda want a husky for my next dog now. Too bad I don't have the room for another dog. That and Jackson is a spoiled brat who doesn't like to share.

A husky video. I really appreciate that someone did this, because now I know the plusses and minuses of Siberian Huskies. I shed lots of hair too, but a little less since I am keeping it shorter. LOL
Enjoy.
