That isn't a different way of counting life ed... just a different way of marking time... They say they are 1 when they are in their first year... we say they are 1 when they have completed their first year...

Who wants to marry a chicken and abort at 9 months? I don't know anyone who has married a chicken but a pig?? possibly ?? Why you might possibly ask me??? Because I know a lady who says her husband is one...he eats like a pig, smells like a pig, and drinks like a pig so therefore one would assume she married a pig..??

Here's another good one that has the Liberals hair on fire: "Barack Obama could well go down in history as the president who dithered while Rome burned, and his legacy of weakness and indecision on several fronts will haunt future generations to come". By Nile Gardiner (A Washington-based foreign affairs analyst and political commentator. He appears frequently on American and British television and radio, including Fox News Channel, CNN, BBC, Sky News, and NPR.) So NPR does have some good reporters afterall...

I think this comment bears reapeating, and you can bet the RNC will use in the Presidential Elections to help defeat Obama: Barack Obama could well go down in history as the president who dithered while Rome burned, and his legacy of weakness and indecision on several fronts will haunt future generations to comeI will have to add that truer words were never spoken...except for "If You Cannot Be An Athlete, Then By All Means Be An Athletic Supporter".....famous college basketball coach whose name should be anonymous but you can guess who said it..

If the GOP tries to beat Obama by suggesting he should have gotten us into yet another unilateral war/military occupation... i'm not thinking it will go the way you hope...

So you're saying that roasting Obama is what makes a reporter a good one?
Hmm ...

Interesting that any opinion critical of the president is automatically considered valid.
Yes, he was roasted as well although this has nothing to do with Bush. Strange how frequently the "but they did it to Bush" argument arises. It makes one wonder if latching on to Obama criticisms is really about Obama and not a bid for petty revenge.

STORY HIGHLIGHTS NEW: Obama says the trip will help strengthen key economic ties President Obama departs Friday night for a five-day trip to Brazil, Chile and El Salvador He will discuss job creation opportunities, though no new trade agreements are expected First lady Michelle Obama will deliver a speech on education in Chile Washington (CNN) -- Amid unrest in the Middle East and the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan, President Barack Obama is staying the course by going ahead with his five-day trip to Latin America. The first family will depart Friday night for stops in Brazil, Chile and El Salvador, where the president will meet with the leaders of each country to discuss trade and the global economy. It will be his first visit to the three countries and a chance to talk about hemispheric challenges. The trip is designed to help "strengthen our economic relationship with neighbors who are playing a growing role in our economic future," Obama said Friday in an op-ed published in USA Today. The Latin American economy grew by roughly 6% last year, Obama noted. It is expected to grow by one-third by 2015, he said. "This trip gives us an opportunity to highlight the work that has been done and will continue to be done with a very important set of global-regional partners and leaders," said Daniel Restrepo, a White House policy adviser for Western Hemisphere affairs. "At each stop there are a series of concrete steps and agreements that will be reached on the types of issues that we pursue in the Americas," Restrepo said. Though the United States and Brazil are the two largest democracies and economies in the Western Hemisphere, this trip is unlikely to produce any new trade initiatives. www.cnn.com/2011/POLITICS/03/18/obama.latin.america/index.html?iref=obnetwork

In response to #80..Shirina let me give it a try to answer your comments:
In my case criticism of Obama is due mainly because I don't like Obama personally. Nor do I like any of his socialistic policies. However I do like Hillary Clinton and her handling of the Libyan crisis, the Egyptian Crisis, and would like to see her as our next president instead of Obama in 2012. I believe I have every right to express my views with having a lot of personal cheap shots injected into this dicussion which are often difficult to comprehend because they lack both clarity and any substance. And will only result in more threads locked which has been a common occurence lately with so many ridiculous personal attacks, taunts, heckling that accomplish nothing.

lol... Hilary is Obama's Secretary of State... do you have this idea that she is somehow acting on her own?
I agree... she is great in her position... the position she never imagined getting... and that he gave her because he knew how valuable she would be.
As for Bush, i was very pleased after 9/11, that he did not rush in immediately before attacking in Afganistan, but took his time to, presumably, know who, what, and how... Of course it didn't turn out that way, and apparently he was using the time to try and turn things against Iraq, but i was not at all upset about someone taking time to do things right...

My point is that you can't separate out Hilary's actions as separate to and counter Obama... he put her in the position... he and his administration direct her actions... she is not out there on her own... she is an extension of him and his administration.... you complain that he isn't doing anything... but his is... he has been working through is Secretary of State and other channels to effect the situation... so that now we have a UNITED, ALLIED force... Britain, France, US, working with the support of Arab nations, to take care of the Libya situation... this is not a Hilary win... although i think she plays her role very well and congratulate her on it... but it is an Obama administration win...
To try to suggest she is acting on her own is silly and demonstrates a lack of understanding, and willful misconstruing of actual events...

I personally have NOT criticized Obama's reactions to the Middle East. It is an age old conflict and nobody has the answers to that. And, we certainly don't want to get involved in another war unless our vital interests are threatened and until the military has full capabilities. I have criticized Obama's reactions to the Middle East because they kept changing just about every day until he dumped everything onto Hillary Clinton. However in the case of Libya he got mixed signals, from Biden, Rice and Gates who opposed the No Fly Zone and Obama wanted a coalition with the Arabs..... Hillary was successful in getting that coalition with the Arabs and she relayed that to Sarkozy who then took the lead for the UN to take a vote in the security council and Rice of course agreed with Hillary

He did not change every day... He had his direction and directive in place... and was working through channels including Hilary Clinton...
You even say that Hilary was successful in getting what Obama wanted... lol...
If McCain had won, we'd be at war in Pakistand and Libya at the moment...

Which was the direction set by the administration PI... He was not going to allow unilateral action in this situation... My point was Hillary did all the heavy lifting and Obama was off figuring out his basketball brackets. Where is your source that Obama was providing direction? Everything I read said he was disengaged big time... And what does McCain have to do with the facts that Hillary Clinton took the lead for the Obama Adminstration on the Libyan No Fly Actions despite opposition from Biden and Gates and Obama being AWOL

He did exactly what should have been done... ready and willing to bomb, but no boots on the ground, as soon as there was international concensus and a realization that we would NOT be carrying the weight for everyone again this time... we were not going to make unilateral decisions... I think it was well done...
Even YOU say Obama wanted Arab nations on board before we got involved... lol....

Ok thanx but sugggest you read the article about Obama's role in the Libyan conflict it might just change your mind. Obama who is supposed to be our Commander in Chief played a minor role and is now in Brazil wining and dining while Hillary Clinton has been acting as our Commander in Chief, Secretary of State and acting President in Paris at the NATO leaders summit...you may want to check it out and do your own research this time...

As American missiles struck Libya, President Obama doggedly promoted his Latin American agenda Saturday, promising Brazil as a soaring economic force and brimming market for trade. But don't you think this message fell on deaf ears and was lost in the roar back over being AWOL (his absence during the Libyan conflict)...?
The President has been unable to huddle with his Security Advisor Tom Donlan and be brought up to date on the Libyan conflict because he is too busy playing nice with newly elected Brazilian President Dilma and Rousself and bragging about being the first African American President and hers as the first female Brazilian President as evidence of overcoming barriers..

No. I think that those in Brazil and the US who are concerned about South American trade were paying more attempt to it than Libya.
