Moon, I'm using the VSilver right now and finding it more relaxing on the eyes. Thyme might find it more agreeable too.

I don't want to mug the woman just give her a gentle hug.
LOL, I thought the View all smilies wasn't working. I usually have several pages open and for some reason the emote block pops up but behind the Proboard page. ;D

To quote the specific person, look above the right corner of their post and click the 'quote' button. that puts the box around it.
Oh Thank God for that. I keep copying and pasting too. I knew there had to be SOMETHING. I was too oblivious to look in the upper right corner. lol.

There are a lot of fancy doohickeys on this site, and a nice neat button is different for us. I'm trying to click on everything a couple times and figure out how everything works. But, yes, I missed that one too.

thyme, that how i figured all this stuff out too. but there are probably plenty of things i haven't yet discovered.
one of my favorites was found by rovo: if you click the word "new" next to a thread title, it will take you to the first unread post in the thread.

What does the flames in a folder mean ..haven't figured that one out yet...think it's tells me I have read the last one already and if no "new " , lets me stay away till the next new one. Am I correct?

If there are new posts since the last time you clicked on a topic, it will say "new" next to the thread title.
And if you're on the main page, a forum will be shaded lighter if there haven't been any new posts since you were last there.

Thyme, I post quotes by coping and pasting like it sounds you do. I also get that "Read More" part after the actual quote and before the second
. I just delete that part leaving the last
and post. It has always worked for me. Maybe I am are really old dog who can't' learn new trickes. (imagine a smiley here)
I hope you are feeling better!

moonbeam, thanks for all you are doing. i've been trying to put in an html table and have used some forums for help with proboards way of coding it, but it doesn't seem to work. are the tables in a post disabled? if not, can you tell me why this doesn't work?

State | Capital | Florida | Tallahassee | Ohio | Columbus | Georgia | Atlanta | Massachusetts | Boston |

nasa, you can do tables, but i don't think it allows the formatting in regards to the padding and spacing. it seems to want just very basic stuff. you also don't need to specify the html..
just this stuff, (minus the * of course) [*table] [*tr][*td][*/td][*/tr] [*/table]

Hello, I have obviously made it to market talk without Jim Jubak (no offence Jim) anyway for those of you who don't know me that was my most famous thread back in the day. One question right off the bat is there any spell check in place?

One question right off the bat is there any spell check in place? yes, Darvey, if you click the "reply" link at the bottom right under the last post, it brings up a page with all the formatting options. under that are and buttons for post, preview, spell check and reset..

Don't know where exactly to ask, but can we get a "Sports" section somewhere?

Steff-the Everything Else would probably be the best board to talk about sports and stuff. It is a pretty broad board regarding subject matter.

I looked on the EE boards and didn't see anything sports related. And since no one there really knows who I am, I didn't want to just jump in with both feet and start anything like that.
Just figure with so many Bowl games going on that maybe some more other than just me have been watching them.

oh and just as an fyi... someone had commented that the words next to the icons (like home/ quote/ modify) were hard to read..this is something that i agreed with but had to do some research on in order to know how to 'fix' it.
it took a post to the Proboards support forum, but i now know that the icon and the word next to it are all one 'image'. so what i need to do is replace the images.. easy, right? well sorta.. i've found a site where i can create them, but it will probably take me a while ... and they're going to probably be very simple buttons.. but even that will be better than what's there now, i hope.

Great look to the "bubble" words. I assume we have you to thank for it, Moonbeam ;D BTW I could go for a sports board, too.
