If the gas from the sour stomach doesn't kill me... I should be good tomorrow.

sarcasticgirl, I hope you feel better soon. That sounds miserable! My DH was up at 4:30 this morning with insomnia. He's the opposite of quiet when he feels like he's being slighted by life, so guess what time I was up this morning?! I used the extra time to get some steps in, but I'm still mad at him. I mean, he works PT from home. I work 8-5 not at home. Let me sleep!!!!

Weekly check in
Missed step goal by about 3500. I hit 10000 each day not much more. Made effort to drink water. Food choices could be better.
Going to keep goal at 75000. I am expecting a busy week at work. ( Well expect to be busy for the next 6 weeks)
Keep tracking water and try to increase intake.
Try to get up and walk around for a few minutes instead of stress eating.
Have a good work everyone.

Well today is gym day. I'm on track to reach the north pole today according to the step challenge. Has anyone already reached it? I also should be kicking butt at the overall step challenge.

My steps haven't been great, BUT - I ran that 1k on Friday and jogged for almost all of it! I also got a small free treadmill on Saturday that fits perfectly in my den, so hello walks after the baby goes to sleep!

What a rough week last week. My step count is embarrassing and I am certain I am in last place at everything. The stomach bug really threw me! Weight is trending down still... though today I indulged too much. It's our 7th wedding anniversary, so there was cake and dairy and gluten OH MY! So I am waiting a couple of days before I hit the scale.
The weather forecast has us cooling off and August is winding down which means fall will be here soon!

Oh no, I'm definitely in last place. Getting practically negative steps. ;-P. I should probably sync up one of these days...
Happy anniversary! It's okay to indulge once in a while.
My weight just keeps bouncing within about 4 lbs. Just feeling awful at times. Still trudging through an exercise routine most days, though.

I have another progress report at PT tomorrow. I'm excited because we're going to discuss the plan for an end date! Woot! I am already schedule for only one 45 minute appointment a week for the next few weeks, as opposed to the two one-hour appointments a week since March. I'm so excited be normal again, or at least begin my new normal.
I'm hoping I will actually get better about regular activity again now that I won't have PT taking up two days. Plus, if i start walk/running again maybe these 10 pounds that I'm doing a terrible job of trying to lose will go away.

My step count is going to suck today. I'm skipping the gym tonight and going to a networking event.

That's so sad about your step count, andi9899 I really shouldn't tease, though, I'm going on vacation starting on Sunday, so my steps for the last week of August will likely be low. Though I am going with my mom, and she likes to walk, so maybe it won't be a total loss. I'm virtuously eating salad for lunch. Hoping it helps make up for my chick-fil-a yesterday. All I can think about eating is some sort of bread. I guess I should thank my lucky stars that I'm at work and have no bread around.

I'm a bad girl. I just mowed down a big plate of nachos, a soda (not diet) and 2 caramel churros covered in chocolate. I can die happy now.

Too tired to get step goal last night, I will try tonight but I work late tonight so probably won't happen either. Ugh. Was doing well and now have been backsliding with my steps.. the good news is I've curbed the eating a bit this week. We may be planning a trip for Thanksgiving and I'll be pissed if I can't lose some more weight by then to feel a little better on the beach in FL. Going to try my hardest to be better now, I've been stalled long enough. If I can lose 10-15lbs more in 3 or so months, that'll make me happy. That's about what I did in the spring. Fuck this extra weight.

My event didn't happen last night so I did end up going to the gym. I'm on the fence about it tonight.

I've been wearing the tracker a little looser on my wrist, and I think that may have been reducing my step counts? I haven't been worrying about steps too much, but they've been way lower than the minimum they ever were previously when I wasn't worrying about steps too much. Anyway, checking in to say that I've been exercising practically every single day. I did take a rest day yesterday, as I was super tight from all the exercise, and I had no sleep the night before, worrying about the logistics of the job I was offered. (With my DH's blessing, I ended up backing out of taking it. ) Weight is back down to where it was prior to the diet debacle that was last weekend. Energy is better, finally. I had a really bad month there. At least the quandary I had with the possible job broke me out of my funk somewhat.

Spent a couple of wonderful days in NYC with DS and Dsis. We walked a lot but DS also treated us to some fabulous meals. Some of the best I've ever had, and DS was so proud to show us a great time.
It was interesting to me that we didn't notice many overweight NYers. Different from DC.
Got a few more clothing items, including bras. I was down to just sports bras plus one other; everything else was empty space in the cups. Now I need to Kon Mari my wardrobe. I've got clothing I haven't been able to wear in years because it was too small and that I'm surprised to see I own. And 3 sizes too big stuff, some NWT. Haven't sorted everything and closet space is at a premium. I think I'm at a size now that I'll remain.
I've started working on my upper arms. Cannot do a chin up yet - still have the bar in place in the doorway of DS's room, so I try now and then. Do some work with light weights, though. I really need to do some type of abdominal exercises, too. Even one crunch is a real strain.

Leg raises and scissor kicks will really work your core too.

Ooh! Do that twist thing too, that will rock your core. Sit on the floor with your feet flat on the ground. Lift your legs a bit and balance on your butt. Twist your waist side to side like your doing the twist (the dance). Once you get good, you can add a medicine ball. It's a serious exercise even though it doesn't look hard. I work out a lot and that one is hard for me. You might build up to that one. I have an app that gives you workout ideas for each muscle group. Maybe download one and then work whatever exercise for the group you want to work.

I'm tired today. I moved from the bed to the couch. That was my exercise. Well, then moved from the house to work. Is it time for bed yet?

The family went to a ballgame last night, so eating was a mess in the evening. Did get some extra steps in, though, and I worked out in the afternoon. Forgot to weigh myself this morning. Seems like the weight jumps up, then gradually decreases over time with effort. Kinda sucks, but I was down going into the weekend. Wish I could break through the 150 barrier. And get to the next size. Tired of hiking my new pants up all the time, and it sorta pisses me off. But, had I bought them tighter, they'd probably hurt my belly. Guess I just need old lady elastic waists!

Weekly check in
Missed step goal by 2700. Made a choice last evening sleep was more important. Food was not good. I need to get back in the habit of logging food.
I am keeping the goal at 75000. Work is going to be insanely stressful for the next 2 days so I hope I do not fall too far behind early in the week.
Keep up the good work everyone. Hugs to those who need hugs.

This is not going to be a good week all the way around, I can tell you that now. Trying to finally get a garage sale coming up this weekend, plus ODS's playdate today, haircuts tomorrow afternoon, cub scout board meeting in the evening, mom eye Dr Wednesday afternoon, then school open house, then haircut for me. I also wanted to take the kids to see the tall ships tomorrow before they leave. I mean, I'm at home--I shouldn't feel this busy, right? Maybe I can just do something first thing in the morning.
