Thanks... I guess I will keep on waiting. Working on a budget now, current/past one required a $7,200/month net income... Trying to see if I can cut it down, have a major headache! that's what I call a high overhead lifestyle! Haha I wish!

10:30 still no offer letter! try to take deep breaths. I know my company is way smaller, but when I changed jobs last summer, this was my experience. I interviewed on a Wednesday (in person) and found out by phone the next day that an offer would be coming. Friday afternoon, I got a call from my HR contact to give details of the offer - but not the actual package, because that needed to be signed by the site head of HR and she was on vacation that week. my offer came through via email on Monday just before noon. I came in to work with my resignation letter already printed, but I didn't actually sign it until I got the offer via email. this sort of thing is probably what is going on, too. as a store manager, your compensation package is going to be way more complicated than that of your "worker bees". think back to the mortgage process, and how complicated it was to get everything gathered up. you got this. Thank you but I just cannot get myself to calm down/relax. I don't think I will be able to till I get an offer letter and start the job.

District manager just called again, that cannot be good ; he left a voicemail asking to call him. I am on a phone interview in a few so will call later (why I did not answer). Waiting for recruiter call for 11 AM phone interview.

Ok, I found stuff that says former coworker waived the appeal. Found and set up all job opportunities emails. Sadly, can't opt out for ones I'm not interested in.
So now I need to actually update my resume, work on my refreshing my skills and wait for the job to post.

I did not understand the bonus structure, it is actually 20k with a chance to double up -> for a total potential of 40k (need to clarify that). He offered me 88k base salary. So really 97k + potential 20k = 117k Or 88k + 40k potential = 128k All his stores as of now are budget to hit bonus (or so he says). All considered still come out with a 3k increase in salary and from a 17k bonus potential to a 40k bonus potential.

Do they offer an incentive for not taking their health insurance? $50 a paycheck is what dh gets for that.

It is set, you accrue a certain amount every week you work. I have that kind of vacation accrual, do you have intervals where the weekly amount increases? Mine is monthly, starts at 8 hours a month, then at 5 years goes to 10 hours, etc. Sick accrues at 8 hrs a month period. Never increases.

Were you hoping for more? And then when the amount comes in it's good, but not as good as you were kind of hoping for? Well and the hold process is a roller coaster. You go from having a base number in your mind to getting an actual number and wondering if you could get more. At least now you can go and do the HT interview and be completely relaxed, and if they come back to you with some stellar package, then you can decide what to do then.

So dh met with hr yesterday and they really do want him to accept the offer with no potential growth. Works out to be a completely lateral move, with no little income increase potential other than col.
Three weeks ago, he would still ha e jumped at it just to get out of where he is. Now he's not so desperate since new management came in.
I think there is a disparity between what they want (manager) and how they have it classified (admin for salary matrix). Just guessing on what they have said how previous guy did the job.
So he's leaning toward turning it down. Hasn't made up his mind completely because he was really excited about the job.
I told him he should tell them the pay isn't the issue, but the pay scale is. If they can reclassified the position, He will accept. The benefits aren't enough to tip the scale.
Meanwhile, I have a phone interview tomorrow and I'm sick as a dog. Good thing it's not face to face.

In that case, I could use some prayers, too. I'm almost scared to go back to work again--going back to crazy busy schedules and not having the time to help my mom adequately. But, we sure could use the money for car repairs at the very least. LL, sending higher thoughts for you and your family. I know that you have said that your mom speaks a different language that is not common in your area and you really have no family help, but is there a social program that may be able to help? Check with senior services, county/city/state agencies for help. I understand that that is a bit of work with your situation, but maybe someone can point you in the correct direction. I am taking a QuickBooks class to try to get a job doing that sort of thing. All my experience has been with AS 400 and ERP systems-- not anything a smaller place would have. Of course, they want someone with the exact experience with the exact software, never mind the fact I could figure out much more complicated systems... There was a lady in my class who mentioned how she makes probably $35/hr entering addresses into QB (they pay per address). That sounds crazy-high to me, but I thought I might ask her more about it if I get the chance.
