We've been keeping up with working out 3x/week. I thought we'd be up to 4 by now but 3 days is pretty challenging time wise for us I guess. DH has lost 10lbs and he found a website with a bunch of different formulas for ideal weight (I think really it's just a BMI of 21) and decided he'd like to lose 5 more. He thinks he can do that in another month, lol, I told him those last 5 should be much harder than what he has already lost (which he lost easily IMO). I may have to hurt him if he effortlessly loses another 5.

I have yet to actually "work out" at all. It sucks because I know I need to get back to swimming and weights, I'm just unmotivated. I'm up a lb this week - which is fine by me, I've been increasing my calories deliberately because I had a big drop in breastmilk supply. Up, down, so it goes...

I can't get motivated with the weather like this. My head is stuffy and it is cold again. I need warmth! But my clothes are ill fitting so I need to turn that into motivation.

Currently in a walking challenge at work.
After the first day I was in fourth place. I am currently in second place. Unfortunately I am over 7000 steps behind first place. Time to get in a few steps today.

Mutherf*cker!!!
I was just trying on outfits for potential interviews and ugh my pants are tight!!!
I really have to stop stress eating at work. I am not wearing bigger clothes. I am not.
10k steps are done but I am going to keep going. More stretching and core work ... I started core work last night.
I need something else to distract myself when I start going off the deep end snacking at work.

Keep healthy snacks I drink lots of water and i do keep healthy snacks... i just eat all the healthy snacks and then want something unhealthy! or too much healthy stuff. I have to manage my stress better. I woke up this morning with a migraine. UGH! i carry stress in my body. I just feel like everything sucks right now. I dread work every day, DH is out of work and while we're managing and I think ultimately this is good because we're really learning to cut back and be HAPPY about it... it is still stressful. He's dealing with depression and won't go to a therapist. and the depression has some scary scary swings lately. And i don't know what to do. I am jsut trying to manage everything... that's what I do when things get shitty- I take control and come up with a plan, that makes me feel better. but it is overwhelming and exhausting and it is taking a toll on me. when my headache subsides a bit more, I am pulling out my favorite yoga DVD. i am doing it twice a week and going to give it a month before I decide if it is helping or not. And I have my step goal in place and have been successful the last couple of weeks, so I feel comfortable upping my goal to 73K steps per week.

I did about 20 minutes of yoga.. but got into a section that was exacerbating my headache so I stopped. It was good though... I will definitely do it again this week. I'll be doing more stretching tonight. I used to have a habit of sitting on the floor and stretching while I watch tv. That would give me a good hour plus of moderate stretching. I have started doing that this week since I had an issue with my knee and lower back last week and it is really helping.
I just have to take care of me so I can keep taking care of everything else.

Thanks, ladies. I have some soreness from yoga yesterday, I definitely need to do it a few times a week. It helps me focus and breath.

I'm averaging about 45 minutes a day on desk-bike. I need to up it, but it's hard as I haven't been at my desk much lately. Plus still having to stuff myself to keep breastmilk up. Still up 3 lbs or so.

Personally I'd just wait until that's done and then get cracking on the exercise.

I'm lucky in that I have kids who usually sleep, so my energy is more dependent on whether or not I have whatever germ-of-the-week they've brought home from daycare. K is 10.5 month now, I went to 16 months with my oldest, but stopped pumping at 14.

I completely gave up on trying to be healthy for a few months. Fortunately there really wasn't much damage done. My weight and measurements stayed approximately the same. I've started up the Couch to 5K program again. I'm not in nearly as good of shape as I'd like to be, but I'm slightly encouraged by the fact that the program isn't nearly as difficult for me now as it was the first time around. I also bought a new Garmin fitness tracker since my Fitbit now refuses to sync with my prehistoric iPhone. Here's hoping it lasts longer than the Fitbit did.

Had a blood work review with my dr. yesterday. Because I have insulin resistance, I have to work extra hard to keep my blood sugar in check. 6 months ago... it was 5.3 which is great. My last blood work put it at 5.8... 5.7 is the end of the normal range... 5.8 being the start of the "pre-diabetic" range. Ironic because I meal plan and prep for my diabetic DH to make sure he has balanced and healthy meals... then my meals are an after thought.
Time to make myself a priority. Wake up call for sure. I am so angry at myself for letting this happen... but I am not going to beat myself up. Lesson learned. Even in times of high stress I must take care of myself!
I am planned out for the week. I just have to prep everything tomorrow.
Hope everyone is well... take care of yourselves! Sent from my SM-G920T using proboards

Thanks Pants I just prepped DH's lunches for the week... luckily it was a veggie packed pasta salad so it was easy, mostly just chopping veggies. 30ish minutes and it was all done. So, now i"m about to prep my lunches. My biggest problem is breakfast. I am dairy and egg free due to allergies. that makes breakfast SO DIFFICULT! greek yogurt or hardboiled eggs were always my go to. Cheap, fast and easy! I got into the habit of eating some fruit, some basmati rice and then some bacon or sausage. Way too many carbs and not enough protein to balance. I'd be hungry in 2 hours and snacking on everything. Dairy and Eggs encompass the main breakfast protein sources. This morning, I made a little basmati rice... chopped up a chicken breast and made a piece of sausage so I could have some carbs, protein and fat. I also ate a few dried cherries. (made enough for tomorrow too) BORING breakfast... but it got my macro-nutrients right, should keep me full.. but makes me sad because i effing LOVE BREAKFAST FOODS! so today i am going to try and find some recipes for some things I can make for breakfast... and try and make them breakfast-y? maybe some sort of hash. I used to make roasted butternut squash with chorizo with eggs for breakfast... Maybe that, but some shredded chicken instead of eggs? I have 3 months to get my A1C back in check... or my dr. is going to put me on some supplements to bring it down. I told her I really wanted to do it on my own so she's giving me 3 months. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!

I love American breakfast foods. I love Greek yogurt and fruit, eggs a million different ways, my southern biscuits and gravy. Honestly... I think poached eggs make just about EVERYTHING better. And you can never have too much gravy! I feel like eggs make everything easier! I threw a bunch of chicken breasts in the slow cooker today and shredded them. I will keep that and try and use some in place of eggs. It isn't the same, but I have to learn to deal! Sent from my SM-G920T using proboards

We eat steel cut oats every weekday morning. We vary the toppings (cinnamon, raisin and walnut), (vanilla, craisins, almonds), the kids like cinnamon and banana or cinnamon and applesauce. Would any of that work? The oats stay good in the fridge for a week. You can heat up leftovers in the microwave with a little water or milk for some added moisture.

Eggs totally make everything better!!
You have my extreme sympathy on all the horrible allergy issues. Put that together with needing to go low carb and it sucks sucks sucks.
I just finished a full day of cooking with my spiralizer. -Pad Thai with ribbons of veggies mixed in with noodles - Salad with zucchini and carrot ribbons and roasted chickpeas and some kind of avocado pistachio dressing - Sun dried tomato and chicken with zucchini noodles with creamy sauce
The week in lunches all prepped up. I'm fucking exhausted though!!

I do steal cut oats with dried fruit and nuts... but I tend to put more fruit in to get it sweeter so my carbs go way up. I also can only eat it once or twice a week... if I try more than that I turn into a toddler try to eat it and refuse. I am such a pain in the ass. I used to put some Greek yogurt in it to add protein and tang... but alas! Sent from my SM-G920T using proboards

I cooked up some ground turkey with taco seasoning, threw in some beans and carrots (weird, I know... but I like the crunch) have avacado, lettuce and salsa to make some taco salad for the week. Yum!
