I can't believe I have to explain this, but if the Chicago Tribune publishes an interview with Mr. X and Mr. X says such and such, but the Tribune decides to EDIT that interview in a deceptive way as CNN and CBS did in the cases I cited above and SpaceCoastNews catches them in the act and shows the full, unedited video, or provides a transcript-- the SOURCE is the Tribune and Mr. X, SpaceCoastNews is simply pointing it out. The media omits Bill Clinton's comments about how sick Hillary has been...but adds incendiary words to Trump's statements. They've also been caught Photoshopping Hillary's rallies to make the crowds appear bigger. You're being lied to and misled...and the idea that the "corporate media" isn't in the tank for Democrats is a joke. Oh I get it completely.
Some posters rely heavily on their favorite media sources to make the case for their candidate.
Truly, we should all be omnivores when it comes to media consumption, and avoid reading only the blogs and websites of those media sources that only tell us what we want to hear.
Right?
BULLSHIT. What is the underlying presupposition of throwing out the "but the source!!!" complaint? Is it not that the story is likely not accurate because the source is unreliable? OF course it is, but that flies here ALL THE TIME without a moderator requesting a link. IF you believe this did not happen EXACTLY AS I POSTED IT, you must refute it-- and provide links. Not imply it and slink off.

I disagree. The source is SpaceCoastNews. The reference materials are from the Chicago Tribune. If you have been paying attention the media has also edited out things on Trump's behalf like the creepy comment about Ivanka on Dr. Oz. They edit for their own reasons.
ETA: How does SpaceCoastNews in this example end up with a full unedited video?
moreover, you will forgive us for questioning a source with a reputation for omitting important details. the list of such places are long, but roughly equivalent to the sources used by certain posters here. IF you believe the story to be inaccurate, prove it.

The heart of the matter is this: if you believe the story to be inaccurate, prove it. Implying a story is inaccurate by implying a source is inaccurate is not a legitimate argument.

OF course it is, but that flies here ALL THE TIME without a moderator requesting a link. IF you believe this did not happen EXACTLY AS I POSTED IT, you must refute it-- and provide links. Not imply it and slink off. The media never quotes the entire context of a politician's speech. Obviously. The media summarizes what was said and usually throws in some quotes. This means a lot of stuff gets left out. Or the summary can get biased by the writer. And I don't need to point out to you that both sides photoshop or use pictures from different events - didn't one media source try to post a crowd picture supposedly from a Trump rally that was actually from a sporting event?
That was the point of my post. Other media sources probably left out Clinton's comments about his wife being sick because they didn't see it as any kind of red flag statement - not like Brietbart or Fox would. They summarized Trumps words in another speech as racial because that's how they perceived them - although Fox or Brietbart would not.
This goes on all.the.time from all types of media. This is why it's so very important not to restrict yourself to just a few outlets. You started to get a really warped view of reality. You have to be smart enough to recognize that Mother Jones or Salon will spin the same story (or ignore a story completely) that Fox will spin a completely different way.
You act like we don't know we're being lied to. I am willing to bet everyone on this board is aware of that, but I'm not sure you know that. The places you regularly post links to are very biased media sources. Just because they are biased in a way that you like doesn't make them somehow trustworthy or valid. They are spinning just as hard as Salon and Mother Jones are.

Trump's surging millenial support is no more coincidental than his growing African American support: He is appealing to them and asking for their votes. You would be surprised how many "yes's" you can get when you ASK.

This meme is really tacky. And? It should not have been posted. Taking a less attractive pic of a 92 year old former President and implying things Trump actually thinks about when it comes to his daughter, is below respectful discourse.

It was completely irresponsible of Donald Trump to call the explosion in NYC was a bomb over the weekend, and to immediately assume a link to international terrorism before he had all the facts. But you know, it's "steady leadership" to instantly throw the cops under the bus...

He seems to be looking at that giant portrait of himself he bought with his slush fund charity money, and not a mirror.

So, this is the Democrat's strategy. Interesting.
Obama, Hillary and the rest of their ilk are willing to let Charlotte burn in hopes that the anger and rage will result in black voter turnout for Hillary.
In the meantime, Donald Trump calls for unity in the heart of the black communities all across the country.
I have made some pretty crazy predictions over the years, but I never would have predicted that the first black President's second term would end with the liberation of the black community from the Democratic party's iron grip by any Republican, let alone Donald J. Trump.
We are witnessing a historic shift.
We are about to be ONE America united under ONE flag-- it is truly amazing.
