Okay so here's my hair... It's not exactly what I wanted but it's cute. I have to mousse it/braid it to keep it wavy though. Love the hair! It looks really nice!

I like it. Hopefully the break from all the chemicals and heat helps it.

Very cute!!!
It's hard to tell from the pic, but are there bands or some way to keep the braids from unraveling? How long did it take to get done and how long do you think it will last for you?

I don't know why I'm always surprised to see our posters look like normal people. Attractive even. Lol
I think i remember how old you are, you look even younger to me. Go Jenny!
As far as the hair, I like it, but darn it part of the appeal of braids is the low maintenance and you have to do stuff to these to keep the ends wavy. I bet it's going to be really pretty pinned up somehow if you decide to try that.

Thanks I think she used a dab of super glue on the ends (at least that's what it smelled like). There are little white pieces on some of the ends. I'm hoping they'll come out soon. The whole thing took about 5 hours.

And I think it will last 8-12 weeks. I'm already thinking about what I'll do when I'm done with these. I'd really like to find a non-chemical solution for my hair.

I braided it earlier so it will keep from getting messy at bedtime. The moussing is only like a 5 minute thing, so it's still not that bad. My scalp is actually super itchy at the moment - probably because everything is still pretty tight.

First time I've "seen" you, MJ, a very pretty woman! I love the wavy look, too. For me, though, it takes me a while to achieve the look. I'm style-challenged!

Well, drat! As usual, I missed the picture. From the sounds of it, though, you hit the mark dead on, MJ2.0!

MJ2.0, I missed it too! Can we get one more brief posting? I promise I'll keep checking this thread! I am trying to dress nicer for work. I buy all of my clothes at Kohls, so I need to step it up a notch. Where is your favorite store to buy business apparel? I am petite, so need to keep that in mind...

Have you tried stitch fix or something like that? Right now I use a rental service for plus-size and LOVE the variety. My boss in my review today said I've obviously started dressing for the job I want. Plus as I'm losing weight I can size down without investing much in the clothes. Stitch fix you buy the pieces but I bet it would work well for a petite person looking to upgrade their wardrobe. I've heard good things about it.

If you shop carefully even Kohls can be okay. Watch for classic stuff not trendy.

That's okay - it's already driving me up a wall! I used Seabreeze this weekend. That cleansed well, but then my scalp was very dry which then became itchy. I used an oil for that, but it doesn't seem to be enough. Plus the ends are getting all tangled... I apply leave - in creams and comb/brush but it doesn't seem to help much. At this point I want to shave my head and then dunk it in a vat of ice water....and then get a really cute wig to wear.

I buy my work pants there. I love the Marisa cut! I also love their jeans, skirts, candigans, and tops. So everything. The clearance rack is constantly 40-60% off (and they have decent stuff in it) and a few times a year the whole store is 40% off.

I haven't interviewed for a job in almost 10 years... and now I have an interview next week. I work for a giant law firm and will be interviewing at a slightly less giant law firm. What can I get by with wearing? I don't have a "suit" or anything like that. I open open to buying a jacket, but I feel a blazer would just be a waste. Options?
