Probably but if some jerk thinks they can say whatever they want to me, they might be surprised at my response.

Your right to freely say whatever you want to me might have consequences you didn't plan on

Whatever. I'm sure some guys think they can say shit to women with no consequences. It doesn't always work out the way they expect

It doesn't always work out the way they expect As I'm sure some gals think they can say shit to men with no consequences. It doesn't always work out the way they expect. It is just that some people think it is wrong when it turns violent. You seem to be okay with it.

I don't say rude things to men I don't know. If I did, I might be in for a rude surprise.

I don't discriminate. People, regardless of gender, shouldn't freely say what they're thinking to total strangers. If they do, they have no one but themselves to blame for the consequences. Some consequences can be more harmful than others. Why take the chance?

I do not. People shouldn't just blurt out whatever they're thinking. That causes issues that can be avoided. We don't read people's minds because that would lead to chaos. Mayhem. If we have people being shot supposedly over parking spots, I can't even imagine what could happen over other issues. Best to mind own business, use eye bleach, and bite tongue.

I get the part that people shouldn't say anything to anyone. You are very clear on that point. It just seems to me that you state here: Someone telling me to smile better make sure they're a quick ducker because I'm not responsible for my hand slapping a dickhead that violence is an acceptable response to people not following your rule of keep their mouth shut.

It's up to others how they wish to respond to rude comments. Some might respond even more painfully than I would. One who chooses to be rude might want to think about it first if they thought the consequences might be painful or even deadly. If they choose to be rude anyway, well, it's on them.

If you think trying to browbeat me into saying I'm wrong to retaliate against someone who says shit to me, good luck. Try on someone else.

If you think trying to browbeat me into saying I'm wrong to retaliate against someone who says shit to me, good luck. Try on someone else. Why would I do that? You have made it perfectly clear that adults slapping adults for perceived insults is perfectly acceptable to you. If you consistently apply that principle, I can accept it as a valid approach to life.

No, but I don't put up with shit from anyone- ever again. You'd have to be insane to take the chance of being rude to someone. I Was amazed to see men saying shit to women and some men and even some women thinking saying shit to a total stranger is totally acceptable and free speech. Jesus. Talk about uncivilized. Better pray one of your "victims" of your right to free speech isn't carrying.

I'm sure you meant that as an insult. I don't care if I don't like what people say. I just assume theyre ignorant. If they say it to me, they'd best hope I'm too ignorant to know what they're talking about or that they're talking to me. Where do you people live that people just walk up And say rude shit?

aside from zib's hyperbole..... Males need to stop thinking they can just say smile to any female they want to on the street. Or anything other commentary. If every woman on the planet banned together and universally agreed to say "f*&k off @$$hat" to every single one of them, maybe it would stop. It would certainly be helpful if women were that consistent.

Yes but usually we are alone and looking vulnerable when asshats decide to spew their filth. We are taught to ignore asshats instead of confronting them. I remember a picture posted on this forum of a very large butt on a woman with her pants halfway down her butt. Most of us gagged and said stuff to each other but none of us would have said anything to her. If someone had said something to her she would have been within her rights to sit on the person thereby cutting off their breathing.

It just might make the spewer think before doing it again. I've always been if the mind that the first time a man hits a woman, if her family beats the shit out of him and then his ass is thrown in jail for others to practice butt buddy on, it might be the last time he does it. Or he looks for another victim, who knows? But he won't hit the same woman again, that's for sure. I love the video of the moms confronting their sons for trash talking women. Bosses should have fired them as well. If they had girlfriends, doubtful, those women should have dumped them as well.

What would posses anyone to think they can say anything personal to a stranger? Good lord, you have no idea what's going on in their lives. Mind your own fucking business.

But you are establishing the standard that if an adult does something that offends another adult, it is their right to respond with a slap.

But yes. If you say something offensive to someone, you have the right to expect offense in return. If you're lucky, it's not deadly.
