Can you do it? I thought Missy Elliott was fun, but this can't possibly be the requirement for determining whether something is artistically good, can it? I mean, I can barely draw a stick figure, does that mean I am required to find every painting or piece of artwork good? That is idiotic.
and FYI - I loathe country music. It hurts my ears. I sill think I'm a well rounded person. A disdain for one type of music doesn't automatically make you not diverse in your tastes. We are not all required to fucking like EVERYTHING, people! Although maybe we should be required to be less douche about the things we don't like.

I'm glad to hear you're so well-rounded. Just out of curiousity, who's your favourite classical jazz artist? Fusion jazz artist? Blues artist? Cumbia artist? Tuareg artist? Zouk artist? Soukous artist? Maybe we can compare notes and share some of our favourites.

I liked the visuals of the show. The music was all right. Half time shows usually suck, so the yardstick is pretty low.

I'm thinking not, because I don't listen to music at all. If it's something that my brain can replay over and over and over again, it drives me nuts. Also, jazz tends to sound like a jumbled mess to me. (I realize this makes me have terrible taste in music. Whatever!) |

Interesting. I blame my highschool band teacher, who made us play the same repetitive, godawful, competition-winning piece 2 years in a row. It was torturous. ETA: And to think, as a kid I wanted to become a musician when I grew up! |

I think that's why I can let DD listen to pop instead of the normal little kids songs. The repetitive songs drive me up a wall!! At least on the radio it's new songs every few months. And since I only listen for 20 minutes or so each day it's not enough to repeat.
