I liked the Kim K commercial - very tongue-in-cheek (LOL) funny.

I liked the Kim K commercial - very tongue-in-cheek (LOL) funny. I liked it, too. I give her kudos for being able to spoof herself. I realize she gets paid well for doing it. But she has a sense of humor about it.

DH noticed that the Today Show had their commercial on their network. Did they pay the $4 million plus plus for the time they took? There was also another commercial for one of the NBC shows but I don't recall what it was.
The best parts about the half time show was the walking tiger, Kravitz and Missy. DH liked the Missy segment the best.
I missed most of the commercials and DH had seen a lot of them before the Super Bowl.
Dern, dern dernity dern dern and dernit. I missed Dowton Abbey and Grantchester last night.

Katy was a little rough to begin with but she got better. At least she sung live unlike Bruno or Madonna.
That nationwide ad though, man none of us kids and we were sitting in silence till someone said wtf. And a bit later we were still saying how the ad practically killed the super bowl.

Yup, the Nationwide commercial was a total buzz kill. I think people would have been far more receptive to it if it played during the regularly scheduled network lineups. Of all of the commercials, I am now seriously jonesing for one of the new BMW I3s. What a VERY cool car. And, now that I have a dog, I am easily suckered into the Bud puppy commercial.

I liked the Pierce Brosnan commercial but then that's my car!
I also thought Katy Perry's performance was a lot of fun.

DD absolutely loved the half-time show. She was dancing right along with it Probably means we suck as parents for letting her listen to that instead of "Wheels on the bus", but oh well. Just add it to the list

I didn't watch the super bowl but I did see the Nationwide commercial on youtube...wtf? It made me tear up and want to wake up my kids and give me a hug...I'm ok with wanting to hug the kids, but this is the god damn super bowl...they are supposed to have funny beer commercials, not commercials that make me cry!

TT, it got us too. Their message may have been right, but timing was poor. Many people, like us, didn't have to be reminded of our loss.

So I, at 28, was the oldest at the party by 4 years min (besides someone originally from Latvia) and they were so confused by the beginning of the commercial. I had to explain it was what they actually said on air once the internet started being used by regular folks.

It felt to me it was like "Hi, I'm Katy Perry, if you like (....) style of music, I can do that" with the four musical selections that were done.

I thought the Chevy truck commercial was clever at the beginning of the game, letting some people think they just lost the television signal. I imagine 50,000,000 young males about jumped out of their seats to yell at the television. After I realized it was an ad, I was so happy, I ignored the rest of the commercial. Pierce Brosnan's ad for the Kia was great, imo, but my wife said half of the audience did not even relate him to the James Bond character. Over all, ads were disappointing. We watch them for the laughs, and they were far and few.

I didn't care for the halftime show for the most part. I am not familiar with Ms. Perry's oeuvre, and the lyrics sounded really muffled, so I was unable to understand what she was singing. I did like her dress with the stars on it, and the dancing sharks and beach balls were a hoot. I had no idea who Missy Elliott was and didn't really care for her music or whatever that was. The fireworks were nice. I like fireworks.
Loved the Budweiser commercial with the puppy, the Fiat on Viagra commercial was a hoot. I don't remember any of the others. If the Friskies Dear Kitten commercial with the older cat explaining the "big game" to the kitten was shown, I missed it, but I saw it on the internet beforehand. It was funny.

The best ones: the Budweiser puppy (frankly, I watch it for the horse trainer dude - he's mancandylicious.) The Doritos commercial was a hoot, and so was Liam Neeson as a gamer. Are you my long-lost twin? I watch the Bud ads for Clydesdales, the hot horse handler, AND the cute puppy.
I also thought the Doritos "When Pigs Fly" commercial was very creative - that kid was so cute!

I thought Katy Perry did a great show. It was quite elaborate and spectacular. Kudos to her! I thought it was fun. It had energy, it had sharks, it had "the more you know" star, it had the amazing Missy Elliott, and it kept people talking the next day. KP did her job!

ANd, in the middle of winter, it was nice to see a beach party type theme. It was fun and light and she didn't try to ram some social message down our throats or have her clothes accidently fall off while simultaneously dropping and F bomb or something. It was quite refreshing in that it was simply a nice show.

Because her songs are great? Because over a decade later "Get ur freak on" still makes me shake my booty? Because old Missy Elliott is still worlds better than current pop music? Because I'm a well-rounded individual with varying tastes and know how to have fun?

Am I the only one who missed the first part of the Nationwide commercial? I kept wondering about what I was missing... My favorite commercials were the Budweiser (loved the dog, horse, and the handler ) and Bud Light (would think human Pac Man would be awesome)! Of course, I can't stand the taste of beer so I won't be buying their stuff, but I do love their commercials.

I liked the Kim K commercial - very tongue-in-cheek (LOL) funny. How could you possibly like it? I'm surprised they even aired it. It was just more of her "look at me" self-promotion and her showing off her over-sized and over-enhanced ass. LAME!

The worst part is she can't do the sarcastic I'm making fun of myself but sound like I'm not. She just sounded really flat and uncomfortable like she was reading off cue cards for the first time. She doesn't know how to be self effacing.

My friends and I spent the entire commercial discussing the cars Bond has driven and why he's driving a Kia.
