I got Mary and I'm very surprised. But she's a survivor so I'm glad I'm a way.

Haters gonna hate, but that's of no consequence to you; you're above it all because you are Lady Mary! You're an enigmatic mix of the practical and vulnerable, traditional and modern; after all, you hate to be predictable. What you love? The thrill of competition, the effortless domination of your peers and admirers, and the pleasure of a job well done. I got Mary, too

I got Violet on the quiz. I do love that old lady. yogiii , I'd have been so disappointed if you got anything besides Mary! WHY are they making us wait an extra week??!?? Don't they know they're torturing us? Because of the Academy Awards.

I really need to watch that episode again. It was stressful during the first half or more waiting for Mary to blow. We all knew it was going to happen. DH has already said he won't watch again with me

DH was all gleeful waiting for me to see it. He's watched online when it came out in the UK but I won't watch with him or let him tell me anything.

My wonderful DH has been a good sport ... we watched it last fall when it aired on ITV ... then again online .... and now again this spring on PBS.

I'm disappointed with the last episode, in that Mary got married and Edith did not. It would have been nice if just for once Julian Fellowes let Edith do the right thing - tell about Marigold and become a married woman before Mary. I was also hoping Mary would have actually followed Violet's advice and spoken to Edith first instead of working on getting her man back first.
Overall one of the better episodes of the season. I'll be sad to see the last one and the series end. (The quiz said I'm Violet.)

I haven't watch any awards show in over 15 yrs. I have, but mostly because it's on CBS and before I got a few more channels it was what I watched. You'd think I had to get up to change the channel or something. I did watch the Grammys this year to see the tributes.

It is funny that they played a new episode at the same time as the Superbowl but not the night of the Oscars. You can tell who the core audience is.

And would have even if I haven't already seen the whole season of DA.

You are not their core audience. Explain please! How am I not their core audience? Their core audience does not watch the Super Bowl and does watch the Oscars. The super bowl is the biggest TV event of the year. The Oscars is the second. Why would they choose to broadcast against either of them? It doesn't make sense. The only explanation is that public television doesn't believe it's Downton Abbey fans watch the Superbowl, but they do watch the Oscars.

I understand what you are saying and find it very stereotypical on their part. I am exactly their core audience. 49 yr old female who grew up watching British shows. But just because I am a female they believe I won't watch the Superbowl but will watch the Oscars? It is the exact opposite in my case and just goes to show you how wrong the programming people at the networks can be when they are trying to predict who will watch what.

Who knows if I'm their target demographic? I watched Downton Abbey streamed live on ITV last Autumn along with all the Brits. Then I watched it online. Now I am watching it again on PBS.
I didn't watch the Super Bowl.
I will watch the Academy Awards because there's nothing else better that's on at 5:30pm in California when it airs live. And because a few actors and actresses that I enjoy seeing will be there as presenters or nominees.
Also, don't forget that the Season Finale is TWO HOURS LONG!!!
