A report on FAUX News this evening (sorry, I don't have a link) states there have been protests against Israel in Paris, London Malaga, Spain, etc.
So Hamas fires 2,600 missiles (reportedly) at Israel, Israel counters and they end up being the bad guys for protecting themselves. To add fuel to the fire, the head Turkey has labeled Israel a "terrorist" country. Funny how Hamas and the rest of those loons can set off car bombs killing innocent people, etc., etc., etc. and the level of criticism pales in comparison - talk about double standards.

being against Israel, or it's policies, is not the same as being against Judaism, Jews, or whatever else "Semitic" implies.

PS- you are aware that Israel killed 1,400 Palestinians in 2008/2009 right?
i can't blame you if you don't know that. it was barely reported here. as usual.

When you choose terrorists for leadership it's likely going to get bloody.

I think there is a lot of people joining in with this who don't know the first thing about it.
"lets all hate Israel" has been supported by "pop stars" and all the rest of the empty headed numpties who haven't a clue about politics.
Its a fashion. Zayn Malik tweets "free Palestine"...and his deluded fans, who think he is going to marry them, join in.

If you read enough history Jewws have ALWAYS been blamed in difficult economic times. Just wait until EU freezes this winter under reduced oil and/or gas supplies from the middle east and/or Russia.

Jews have been persecuted for usury, mostly, not for "tough economic times".

Meaningless to you I'm sure. When the Palestinians chose Hamas, a terrorist organization who in it's charter calls for the destruction of Israel ,to lead them, they are choosing violence over peace. Their choice, their consequences.

I've heard a number of countries no longer teach school kids about WWII, or the Holocaust. "Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it." -Edmund Burke

Even though it is mandated in Florida, the public school I taught in didnt teach it. I had a teacher tell me she'd quit before she taught that or sex Ed, which is also required. She decided to teach gifted instead.

Ask a kid what the holocaust was about. See if they have a clue. It's mandated for 5th grade but is never taught. DD learned from me after her HS teacher touched on it BRIEFLY in class, and I do mean briefly. DS never learned about it at all in school.

To be fair, my kids weren't taught very much history at all.
DD had to take a summer school English class and most of the required reading was history. I was appalled at the number of historical events she had never even heard of. And yes, I realize I ended a sentence pertaining to an English class with a preposition.

Yes, you do remind us all of that. when you stop bringing up how ignorant and bigoted everyone is about Judaism, i will stop. scout's honor. until then, i will reply: not in our house, or the house of any other member of our synagogue. not in a thousand years.

The fact that Jews know about the holocaust isn't surprising. I feel everyone should know. It wasn't just Jews that were murdered. Others were as well. For other reasons.

My children know of the holocaust, as do their children. Even if it isn't taught in school, there's plenty of mention of it in the press, in movies, on TV, and in books. It's not a dead issue for those who are interested in learning about history. For some, however, there will never be enough interest to bring them to the table to learn. That's on the individual, not on society as a whole.

For other reasons. yes- that is correct. liberals were the first to die. then "the enfeebled". then the Jews. it is pretty much the same in every fascist/totalitarian uprising. liberals are always first to die. that is why i am so ornery.

Double standards without a doubt. Take it a step further and look at what the Islamic State is doing, or how over 100,000 Muslims have been murdered in Syria over the last three years and over half the country has been displaced. Anyone who us trying to claim these are anti-Israel/Zionist protest is fooling themselves!

Well, where's our newest expert on Judaism? No comments? No refuting that everyone else is wrong?

Well, where's our newest expert on Judaism? No comments? No refuting that everyone else is wrong? i never claimed to be an expert of any kind. any such claim would make it easier for warped posters to track me down. and no, i know that antisemitism exists in the world, i just don't think the OP describes it. by the way, your remarks are getting rather personal. could i ask you to please refrain from that? it is against the TAC, i believe. tyia.

I really don't remember when it was taught in school, but yes I first learned about it in school. Also visited Dachau as part of a high school trip FWIW. (In case its important later, I grew up with my family[and me] pretty close to a Jewish family even though I was Lutheran. There are a couple Jewish families in my non-denominational church I like to go to as well.)

Which actually raises something I've always been a bit fuzzy on. Is being Jewish about a religion, or an ethnicity? Cause if the Jewish families are not going to synagogue then they are not practising their religion, are they still Jewish? Kinda like if a Baptist starts going to Catholic church and taking Catholic sacraments, are they still Baptist? I've always wondered.
