SUN: Smoked Salmon MON: Tilapia TUE: Sirloin WED: Sirloin THU: sandwich? FRI: chicken sausage SAT: chicken sausage SUN: Canadian bacon Molly That is a TERRIBLE plan for Thur. How about some turkey (deli is ok), a small sweet potato, some plain steamed or roasted veggies and your usual salad. The sweet potato is MUCH lower glycemic impact than any kind of white and adds a bit of 'festive' to the day.

LOL ... we're going to a friend's house for Thanksgiving .... only they eat at 2pm, which is lunchtime for me. Later that evening, we'll be home and I'll have my standard dinner with a bunch of veggies of all sorts, plus a protein of some sort. But I eat turkey for lunch almost every single day and, frankly, I'm already having it for lunch at my friend's house (along with one scoop of mashed potatoes and a huge pile of green beans.) I have all sorts of dinner proteins to choose from ... I will just see what I'm in the mood for (but I'm sure it won't be more turkey!)

Molly At my cousin's we gather at 3 and eat about 5, snacks & drinks before. I also just realized how carby her menu is. I just cannot handle qall that anymore and I am NOT diabetic, just old.
Yep, I did rework a number of days. I did NOT feel like today’s plan. I also remembered my cousin does a VERY carb heavy Thanksgiving dinner. No salad. No fruit. All the veggies are creamy casseroles. SOOO not my style. I plan to limit myself to turkey, dressing, & sweet potato and if existant any veggies that are NOT covered in cream sauces (has happened about 4x in 35 years).
