Slept in. Ran errands and stocked up on groceries. Bought several gallons of paint. Installed some shelves and hooks in the entry closet and did the final touches on that project.
Cut all the animal nails. Harassed a couple of the cats until they went crazy and ran laps around the house. At the end, pried one of them off of the curtains, the other off of one of the dogs. Enjoying the quiet now since everyone's exhausted and sleeping.

been up since about 245am. took the pup out, and couldn't fall back to sleep before the alarm went off at 4am. packed up the pup and her accoutrements, drove almost 90min to my parents house to drop off the pup w/my mom and shower for work. for a number of reasons, the pup will be staying with my parents quite a bit between now and when I move into my new house.
got to work about 720, catching up in here and FB now while my Outlook inbox populates. then we'll see what sort of fires came up while the place was shut down for holiday break.

Had a nice break of 9 days from work. Hosted Christmas Eve open house for friends and family. Christmas Day with SIL and extended family. Managed to get to exercise class a few times. Rode my horse outside on Dec. 27 as the temps got up to over 50 degrees that day. Grabbed a few clothing items from drawers to donate. Got a bunch of blank Christmas cards from a friend who didn't need them. All set for the next few years. Dropped off some leftover candy at the local community center food shelf. Put a few more things up on ebay. Shipped a few items that sold. Cleaned the inside of my car with Armorall wipes I got for Xmas. Got the last of the doctor visits for 2014 done while we still had reached the deductible. Got another guest membership at BJ's wholesale. Picked up a few things that had great prices. Was able to stack a few coupons. Got all of Christmas stuff packed up. Spent a few hours New Year's Eve with some neighbor friends. We didn't make it til midnight...home in our jammies and asleep by 11. This past weekend, roasted some chicken and brussel sprouts(gleaned from the farmer's field), made lentil soup and meatloaf for DH. Updated 2014 investment spreadsheet.

I went to Clothes Mentor 50% off sale. I got 2 vests 50% off and a new with tags-on Gloria Vanderbuilt slacks and a black sport skort that is nearly knee length. The skort even has a zipper pocket.
Free item and some deeply reduced items at the grocery store. Then one handle on my carry box ripped. The box is so much handier than those plastic bags that let things spill over in your car.
A recurring foot cramp limited my exercise today. The culprit is probably my winter boots that don't have good insoles in them.
I was disorganized paying monthly bills.
I need to close the online diary and check on my crock pot meatballs and finish dinner.

Painted walls. Painted trim. Painted a cat. Cat was not amused. Cat should stay out of the way for once.
Desperately need to do laundry tomorrow. And about half the bunch has a vet appointment. Not the painted cat though.

Since our month in Florida is coming to an end shortly, we drove to my favorite restaurant for some delicious baby back ribs. Then stopped on way back at the seafood restaurant for Dh to pick up his fried clams and onions rings. After that watched a couple of football games. I was able to restart my arm and shoulder exercises this morning since my 4 week time frame of not being allowed to raise my left arm over my head due to the pacemaker has finally passed. It's raining here today, so a good day to stay put maybe and watch a little more football. Of course, a trip to the Le Creuset outlet might slip into my agenda....

I figured out what I am going to buy to replace the Rocket. woot! and we checked inventory, I am going to be able to get a 2014 for way cheaper than a 2015. I'm getting a Mazda3 sedan. I will get settled into the house first, and hopefully Presidents Day sale detail will be released as well. sent from my electronic distraction

I bought some Le Crueset Chiv. I got a bright yellow round 3.5 qt french oven for smaller portions of things like soup and stew, and a cute Turquoise tea Kettle to sit atop my cooktop. I really really wanted the 2.5 qt. with rounded sides soup pot but finally decided it was just too small. Of course, there is still time to go back to get it.,,,,teehee

Good price and 0.9% financing. I hope you like the 3. My aunt has 2 of them. One for her husband and one for her daughter.

Wake up at 6:09 a.m. Dress for the gym and decide to warm up with a DVD I have at home hoping I don't wake DH. He's up at 6:30 a.m. but doesn't ask or say I woke him.
I'm at the gym by 6:45 a.m. A huge, tatted up body builder was in there with a lady trainer. They were on the ab push down machine counting their reps to 100 for each other. Ouchy, ouch, ouchity.
Over a month ago I saw this same woman working out with one of the MMA fighters. I recognized the series of tats on his calf.
Back to my story. I shower and realize I didn't bring a dress shirt for church so I go home and finish dressing. I really liked my outfit which is good because I was busy until 3:00 p.m. and didn't get to change.
Driving to lunch was a Keystone Cops type run around because the pizza place in the town next to ours didn't open until 4:00 p.m. according to the sign on the door; so we ended up at another location.
I went to a free documentary that a young man made on his grandfather and his brothers from items he found cleaning out the family home. All of them live or lived on the same farm for generations. Keeping everything. All of the letters back and forth from the wars. It was very well done.
Finally home and comfy clothes, a nap and supper with GrS1.

I absolutely loved it on the test drive. if I was already in my new place, I'd have bought one Saturday. but I need to hang onto the Rocket long enough to move lol... I saw a 6 in the showroom while we were waiting on the inventory search, it looked snazzy. I don't know when the designs changed (likely when Mazda escaped the grasp of Ford...) but the 6 seems so much bigger than the 3. I passed an older 6 on the highway yesterday, and it seemed like it was the same size as the 3 I'll be getting. either way, it has a ton of room on the inside, the 2014 doesn't have the huge touchscreen display/backup camera (bonus!) and it handles nicely. I have to see about a sunroof, I don't think the basic model that I'm looking at comes with one standard.

I've got pretty much a base model and it came with bluetooth and backup camera. I actually like the screen. I didn't think I would like the backup camera but then I realized how much easier it was. I had a pretty nasty case of whiplash when I bought it that's still not gone. I wish I had a sunroof and satellite radio but I was trying to keep costs down. I hadn't anticipated car shopping for another 2-3 years when the Impreza was totaled. It is pretty big which I like. We took 3 adults and all the crap to throw a surprise 60th bday party on a 10 hour roadtrip in November. The gas mileage is low 30s at least which is also good. I do a lot of 5+ hour road trips, I wanted to be comfy. I loved my Impreza but I was ready for something bigger.

We arrived home yesterday about 6 PM and got the car emptied. Some things got put away, but my suitcase is still sitting on the floor.
Today we are taking the car to the dealer to get washed and cleaned, then to Walmart Neighborhood market and onto The Fresh Market. We need to empty the pantry before we go so after we load up on groceries we once again can get the pantry all sorted out and organized.
The USPS was supposed to hold all our mail from Dec. 26 on, they didn't hold anything. Thank goodness our neighbor had a key to our box. When going thru the sack of mail last night, we found the "hold mail" receipt from the post office. And they wonder why people use UPS and FedEx. We are going to stop and speak to a supervisor to complain.

I worked until 2:00 a.m. this morning (Sunday) doing inventory at work. Snuck into bed (didn't want to wake the puppy who would have then woken everyone else) around 3. I "slept" in until noon, but have sincerely been a basket case all day. I am a morning person for the most part. I can stay up occasionally to socialize, but to focus and work until 2 in the morning is just too much. I did some laundry, went grocery shopping, cooked up a storm for DH and the kids and their friends for the Patriots game, and am finally sitting down to unwind before going to bed.
I am getting old, LOL...

2 loads of laundry yesterday, that was exciting. Caught my DH climbing the ladder at the front of the house, that was not a happy experience.
Spent some time tweaking YNAB, and listened to one of their webinars, this time on how to handle credit cards in YNAB. I did pick up a couple of things I didn't know, so well worth a hour of my time.
I ate lots and lots of veggies, including some sautéed red and yellow peppers with some onions for dinner. Today I need to get out and walk a little, it's supposed to be a high of 65 here. Also need to call the nurse who is in charge of the pacemaker clinic, I think it might need a little adjustment.

Has anyone seen the "Theory of Everything" about Steven Hawking? I'm wondering if its sad. I cried at the preview ... Not sure I'll be able to watch the whole thing. I'd like feedback as well.

Weekend: Went to exercise class Vacuumed, dusted, cleaned. Hit the library for more books. Went to the barn to see my horse. Picked the ice out of her hooves. She's doing great. Thick dappled coat. Shopped at Tops and saved about 65% with coupons and sales. Made sauce to bring to SIL for Saturday evening dinner. Sunday made beef stew, split pea soup and baked an almond cake for the week. Ironed and folded all laundry that had dried on the rack by the wood burning stove. DH and I watched football and cocooned by the fire.

I woke up to the alarm and did not begrudge it. Real progress for dislike of morning. A good night's sleep helps.
More progress in not fearing the possible freezing rain followed by snow. I will cope.
Y for yoga. I enjoy working out with people I know. Home, shower, start on audio book DVD 7. I would not have listened except it is for a book group. I won't have much to offer.
After lunch, a brief nap then meet friends for Martini Monday.
Home to bake yogurt chicken.

Going to check on duplex today, get a new brush to wash motorhome and at least wash the front cap and back. Put the hitch back on and hook up the car this evening. Get ready to leave Tuesday AM to RV place to get new air filter and have the check valve looked at to see I it needs cleaned. Likely there at least overnight, they have hookups. Pat, you look so good in your avatar! How is DD doing? Hope she's feeling ok.

Good morning to the snow. The streets were wet yesterday so today will be slicker than snot.
I start by putting my coat on with the hanger still in it. I do get out the door and slowly drive across town, uphill all the way on slick streets in a car that doesn't get very good traction. Using the snow on the side of the tire tracks end up with tires spinning.
The next plan is to creep along if the light ahead was red then speed up as the traffic moved forward. It worked okay.
I get to the racquet/gym center. Oooppps. No purse. No d.l. No c.c. No cell. Oh well, I was safely parked for the next 2.5 hours.
Everyone was chatty today, which is fun on a snowy day.
The streets had been sanded so they were not so slick on the drive home.
Lunch. Nap with dreams of cross country skiing but I am physically spent from the earlier workout, so I sit outside. 37 degrees.
The individual chicken pot pies were doughy yet burning on top. I had to rebake them. The spicy potatoes were too spicy so I consider a flop.
I get reminded to get financial account information for DH. He thought I would get annoyed. No. The doughy food was annoying.
I am slogging through an audio book. Listening while I cruise around here. Split attention.

Up early and went to the gym to workout then play tennis for 1.5 hours. Tried to avoid the locker room crowd but didn't.
A beautiful day so I sat outside for 2 hours. Not a straight two hours but in 30-minute bits. Nap, watch TV and internet.

So far today I've dusted around my desk and little shelves that have some treasured things on them. Dusted the printer too. New cleaning lady is coming Monday morning and I don't want her responsible for dusting some of these things. If it's going to get broken, it'll be because of something I caused.
Just emptied the freezer in the garage and did an inventory of what is in there. The one that was on there didn't get updated as things were taken out.
Walmart here, since we live in the land of the home offices of WMT and Sams Club is now offering grocery pick up. You order online, tell them when you will pick it up, you show up & they put it in your vehicle and drive home. I'm going to try it on our next larger trip for dry goods and canned goods, milk & butter etc. Fresh fruits and veggies will still come from The Fresh Market.
Basketball game on ESPN at 3 PM.
As the cartoon says " that's all folks".

I am tired from the tennis social last night. Inflammation in my ankles and knees. I did not set my alarm to wake up but got up in time to get ready for a full morning at church because of annual meeting. Wonderful food and baked goods to continue my overeating into today.
I remembered the lunch meat on special at the grocer. First I stopped in the gym to see if I could get another coupon for the free item. Someone was reading yesterday's paper so that didn't work.
I sat outside and caught my journal up. A bit chilly. I haven't set up my portable green house/outside sitting area to keep the cold out.
The newspaper ads and newspaper were next. I got my bill and the price has gone up and there was no indication on the length of time on the subscription.
I'm taking the full day off from exercise. The soreness is too wide spread so I'm thinking my Friday training session really hit some underused spots.
Archery is next.
