I seen this and I was shocked, not at her appearance, but at the supposed way she was treated and this is a pit bull attack victim.

Poor kid. With the wonders they can do with plastic surgery nowadays I hope they can reconstruct everything.

How stupid could that KFC employee have been? 

I can think of plenty of things I've seen in fast food joints that I'd consider far more "disturbing" appearance wise than Victoria.  The kid can't do anything about her face.

The KFC person that did this did not have brain in gear. Terminal case of foot-in-mouth disease.

The child has enough on her plate and doesn't need someone else's stupidity added.

It's unfortunate. Making a big deal out of it won't help matters.

The employee was likely responding to customer complaints. The customers were complaining because the girl's face was upsetting to them and/or their kids. Disfigured children in particular are extremely upsetting to some people. Not because they revile the children but because seeing them in such a state is distressing.

And while the appropriate course of action for the plaintiffs would have been to leave or else sit and bear it, what happened happened. The best thing this girl's parents can do is teach her the value of patience, stoicism and forgiveness.

Per the article, the girl now doesn't want to look into a mirror or go out.  That's a helluva lot of emotional damage done on top of the physical damage she's already dealing with.

Patience and stoicism aren't common traits in 3-year-olds.  Forgiveness, fortunately, is.  With love and help she'll get past this quickly.  Kids are amazingly resilient.  I can't help but hope things don't go quite as well for the idiot who thought throwing this child out of the restaurant was a good idea.

I'm glad that KFC is trying to make amends. My first thought in reading this article was what kind of parent allows their baby around a potentially dangerous animal?

Yeah, I'm not noted for crying but I'm having problems not crying for this little girl.  Probably because my girl is only 6.

   A hell of a lot of parents since having a cat or dog as a pet is a wildly accepted thing to do, and as such that means plenty of homes with kids have these potentially dangerous animals living in close quarters with them.

Of all the idiot employees! I've worked in different jobs where I had direct contact with the public for years. I've had customers who smelled like they hadn't showered in a week, those who looked like they slept in their clothes, those who smelled like a liquor cabinet...you get the idea, & I served them all with a smile. And some poor kid is thrown out with scars on her face?!?

How about the folks that got upset at the sight of the girl teach them and theirs a little empathy? That would be an even greater lesson.

Article said it was her grandfather's dogs that attacked her.  All 3 dogs were put down and the grandfather and his gf are facing child endangerment charges.

In this case they could be crappy dog owners and be the cause of it, looks like they were, so if it was glaringly obvious that these dogs were just counting down days until they did injury someone then yeah, not smart on the parents part to have her around them.

My gut is screaming there is something amiss with this story and not everything is being present in full truth.

Sorry, but there is nothing disturbing about the child's face.  I just can't see this happening in this day and age.

The grandmother seems to be a bit of a publicity hound.  If I were really concerned about my childs' feelings I wouldn't be plastering everything all over the internet for everyone to see for all eternity.

Plus - they deliberately put a national franchise in a bad spot and sought out publicity.  I'm guessing there are limited monetary resources available.  Maybe I'm too much of a cynic, but I hope the grandmother is not trying to use the child's misfortune to get money out of a deep pocket big corporation.

And like other cases, even if the "facts" are found to be mis-represented - they entity wronged cannot go against the accusser without futher PR damage.

Don't you mean not "restrained?" Being leashed only works if someone's holding one end of it.

When people own potentially dangerous dogs, they should at least have a dog-run in their yard for the dog(s) to be placed in, if the owner is going to let them out to "run around" and exercise.

Well, if the FB for the girl is even partially true, they are going through a lot of money caring for her. The Go Fund Me site says it's $500/wk insurance isn't covering for her feeding tubes and such and a lot of reconstructive surgery down the road.

Yes, on the FB. They look quite young and just had another daughter about a month after Victoria was attacked.

The dogs weren't put down...they were shot by the grandfather

Though why he would let them near a child is beyond me.

Well, they were outside. One broke the door down/open while the other two dragged her out. One article I read said he had 10 dogs out back. 

You won't see me get on the anti-pitbull train, but I'll be the first to hop on the "why in the world did he have 10 dogs" train.
