Reusable feminine hygiene products?? Omfg! That is just freaking nasty!! I even toss panties if...well, don't want to be graphic but you know where I was going. I just can't even freaking imagine
To be clear....this is not an environmental discussion...the thought of reusing something like that makes me than god I'm alive now and not 100 years ago!

It's not an environmental thing with me. I have very sensitive skin, etc. Sometimes cotton is better than synthetics in sensitive areas...

Sam- no I haven't but I've been buying this strengthener from like Sally Beauty that seems to help. I layer it up pretty thick so it's slippery (?) and you can't get a good grip to bite them. Now sure how else to describe it. I take it off and replace it every other day. Usually takes a couple of weeks to get them looking decent again. ooh....what is this?! I don't bite mine anymore, but they are wicked brittle and generally look like shit because they all keep breaking to different lengths. would love to strengthen them better than what Sally Hansen can do. I'll look it up tonight and respond with what the brand/name is. My nails are pretty brittle too and it seems to be helping. Basically I just went in and said "Help me- make my nails not brittle anymore" and bought what they suggested.

So, I got my haircut today and in the chair I learned it was my hairdressers parents anniversary (day after her moms bday) and her brother and sister in law got married the same day, but they are divorced now, cause his friend, who is a contractor, worked at the house and ran off with the wife and had the gall to still charge him for work... And he never would have paid and she calls up the niece send tells her to wish the mom happy aniversary, cause why not rile her up a bit... Etc, etc, etc...
I almost asked her if she was on facebook... But thought better of it...

I have been thinking about Facebook but I'm soooo grateful to everyone here for reminding me why I don't go there. At the end of days I can piss off enough folks IRL without putting my shit out there for everyone to jump on or subjecting myself to their shit. That's why I this board.

I almost asked her if she was on facebook... But thought better of it... and is your haircut okay? the last chatty aesthetician I had, I'm still dealing with her work a few years later. I went in for an eyebrow wax and said "don't go nuts giving me a pencil line, just clean up the edges and trim. please and thank you" which turned into a pencil line, waxed way too far out over one eye - that won't fully grow back! - and other various and sundry minor things. in situations like that, I smile and nod as best I can while I sit and hope they don't fuck me up while they rant about their own lives. on my way out, I get their name, and make sure I ask for "anyone other than X" when I make my next appointment.

When I lived in the dorm in college back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, there was a weird girl on our floor who believed (or at least claimed) she was a vampire. Fortunately, she was rather stupid, so she was not so much sinister as she was just ... odd and a little baffling. She used to wear a long black cloak and hide in the utility closet, then leap out at people. Her timing was bad, though, or she got tangled up in the cloak or something, so her "victim" was generally several steps past the closet but the time she managed to pounce. It wasn't long before people started surreptitiously watching the utility closet to see when she went into it because apparently she was the only one who had not noticed that the door locked from the outside. This is funny. Did she ever manage to graduate, or is she still in that utility closet ?!!

DD has beautiful brows or she did until she started going to a salon in the mall because its easy. Now she has pencil thin like the workers there do. I had a fit the last time she was up here. I'm hoping hers can grow back but I told her she needs to pluck unless I'm there to supervise because these people will wax it all off.

I don't know what happened to her, actually. I moved out of the dorm the next year and don't recall seeing her again, but we were in different majors, so it might be that our paths just never crossed. It was a big school. I'm pretty sure somebody let her out of the closet. Probably.

I hope it works for you too. So far it seems to be working for me. Not sure if it's psychological or what. My nails seem less brittle and I'm biting them less.
