Looks like it. I was reading some thread and one of his posts shows his user name is black like it looks when someone deletes their account.

I don't talk to him off the Boards so IDK if they had the baby or not, Jaguar. If he was just taking a break to take care of Archie Jr he wouldn't have to delete his account, though...

I haven't been here all week and just noticed that too. I assumed that it was already a topic of conversation - so I sent him a PM on FB. He is not very active there, so I hope I get an answer. If he slipped away quietly in the night, I guess it wasn't a big blow-out or anything like that. I can't tell how I feel - happy that I didn't miss any drama, or disappointed because there is no big juicy story here.

He just pinged me back and said that his addiction to the board has reached the point of being counterproductive for his life. He closed his account in hopes he could focus more on what he needs to do. He says he will may return later.

Arch the bearded dragon lived by EE, and dabbled in iconoclasm on a board called Refugee. Little Virgil Syquil loved old Archie's wit, though not the crass or vulgar stuff, but just that other bit.
Oh, Arch the bearded dragon lived by EE, and dabbled in iconoclasm on a board called Refugee.
Arch the bearded dragon lived by EE, and dabbled in R-ratedness on a board rated PG.
Together they would travel to a thread called "Woe is me." Archie'd tell macabre jokes to tick off the OP. Noble threads and topics derailed when e'er they came, and half the YM graveyard threads had "Archie" next to "name".

Now forums live forever, but not so gentle trolls, Proboards hosts and censored posts can take their steady tolls. One gray night it happened, Arch the Dragon left the board, and all the threads he'd broken saw dismal calm restored.
Happy banter blossomed, mods just sat and dozed, Mundane threads with ditto-heads would burgeon unopposed. Without his online friend, Virg could not stay sane, and so he slunk to Sugi's board and drank to kill the pain.

It's a shame Archie left; however, if the boards are interfering with the way you want to live your life, cutting away for awhile can buy you the time to get things where you want them to be. For many, a clean cut works best. Archie has said (through Thyme) he needed to break his addiction to the boards. This is the way he's chosen to do so. If it makes things better for him, it's the best decision. I'm glad for him if it leads him to where he wants to go.

Hey - I certainly understand the addiction. And...I'm late for work. But, I have time for one more post.

LOL, thyme! I hear you! Because I'm pretty much housebound with mother's care, these boards serve me as a contact with the outside world. People have all sorts of reasons for being here. As long as it's not interfering in your life, I find it a good thing. We learn a lot here, and it's a relatively safe place to share things that are difficult to share elsewhere.

What is that 'he needs to do'? make another baby? 20 min top! If he had something to DO he would have told us what is that he has to do. Idk...
