Archie doesn't break the pg13 rating. Excuse me? I wouldn't have said it if he hadn't done exactly that at least once. Nah, Archie makes one innuendo and drops it. If others had enough sense to do the same thing it wouldn't be a big issue for the moderators. But for some reason some folks need to say it, explain it, repeat it and go on about it for pages. If those people would learn to calm down Archie's little cracks wouldn't be a problem.

Granted, he was a mod on the old boards and kept within PG-13 guidelines there without problems.

Oh, i see..so making an innuendo is ok? i disagree. deliberately making a statement that leads others is just as bad as going past the line themselves.
Not only that, but you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, because i can guarantee you that he HAS gone past the line himself. No, i am not going to PM you proof of it but it's in the reported posts.
Is he the worst offender? doubtful. it doesn't even matter who is, because that's not the point of this thread. the point is that i am offering up the chance for those who just can't control themselves to help make a change. almost no one seems to want to - and that's fine because i don't care either way, and it IS a lot of money per month - but i don't want to hear people complaining about the restrictiveness going forward.

Because I like the attention I get from posting innuendo that intends to escalates the discussion.

So, would that exchange get us in trouble with proboards? How would they even know?

I'd be more worried about a 13 year old seeing responsible adults fighting over every dang thing and making pissing contests over the dumbest things than I would stuff that relatively innocent. If I ruled the world, kids would skip from 10 to about 21 and we wouldn't have to worry about 13 year olds!

I don't recall any really vulgar discussions either, but maybe that's because they were deleted/stopped before I read them. I've seen the usual "get drunk/get laid" nonsense, but that's it. I admit, tho, that I usually stay away from the threads that start going in that direction, so I've probably just missed it. I hope someone tells me quickly if I stray from PG13. Maybe you weren't here in the "early days". There were a small handful of people (long-gone) who tried to push the limits every chance they could.
R-rated (or higher) pictures, avatars, discussion, etc.
I find it ironic that some who think our rules are too strict or restrictive here, forget that the mods on MSN could (and would) perma-ban you if you dared say "Damn" or "Shit". God forbid you ever said "Fuck"!!

So, would that exchange get us in trouble with proboards? How would they even know? A couple of them have (or have had) accounts here, oped. They don't post, but they have been here for various reasons. There's also the matter of disgruntled posters or jealous board owners who report that which they think might cause problems. These are the realities moonbeam has to deal with that the rest of us don't even see.

Thing is, GEL, what you would worry about, or what I would worry about isn't relevant. What's relevant is what ProBoards worries about.

If Archie (or whomever) wasn't baiting with "little cracks", we wouldn't have to worry about some folks going on about it for pages.

So, would that exchange get us in trouble with proboards? How would they even know? No, i don't think that one would really bother them, but there are two things about it.
1. it was really mild 2. it had the *potential* not to be, depending on where someone chose to take it.
How would they know? well, as mmhmm mentioned, someone who desired to do us harm could report it. or, from something i recently read on the support board, they must have some sort of software/filtering or something that flags certain things for review.

That is a blatant lie. And it's been about 3 years. Isn't it about time you stopped dragging up the MSN moderating every time someone says something about this board?

fifty five votes so far, on a rather interesting subject. We are a pathetic bunch of procrastinators
Maybe it should have been only published at the Politics and the Markets board so everyone that comes to harp on the our members all the time would vote on the subject!

Well, it's an announcement, which means it appears on every board.. And even though we've only gotten 55 votes, i think it's pretty clear that no one is interested.

No. I just need you (and others) not to post things that you know are going to lead others past the pg13 line. That's all. Why not just get the people that cross the line? It's usually the same few people. You rang?!?! Seriously, I think that most of the people who hung out at the "password place" have left already. There hasn't been a need to worry about errant crotch shots being posted on here for a while....

If you didn't know about the Adult Board you obviously didn't hang out at EE way back when.

I did think that more would be interested though. not because i felt like anyone was looking for a place to get x-rated.. but more because you could talk about anything without having to worry about it. the cost involved *is* pretty steep though..

Yes, Green Eyed Lady. I don't ever want to close this place to guests because it's dang near impossible to attract new members when they can't see what the forum is like ahead of time.
