I am thinking we will just go to Erie and rent some jet skis on the Lake and take in some minor league baseball games. Presque Isle?

Yes. Presque Isle or down by the Harbor.

I had never heard of it until last year!
DH's BFF went to Edinboro. We were talking about the families taking a camping trip together last summer and he told us about Presque Isle. It looks beautiful!

I used to live in Erie. Loved it. We are only about 2 hrs away. And, I have friends that still live there. I would love to live there again but we are pretty settled here.

We really don't do "big" vacations much anyway but this year we will not be going anywhere. DD's college next year feels like trying to swallow a baby grand whole! I guess I can't complain too much though. Any free day or few hours can still be a day at the beach for us.

Going to Maine for a week in June. Have another Disney cruise booked for January 2015.

I'm going to visit a friend in Virginia in May for about a week.
Going to Glacier National Park with my folks in late August, and on a Carribean Cruise in December. That will just about consume my leave for the year.

TD has been talking about visiting his sister in waaaaay interior BC - up near Alaska. I may suggest we take a road trip up to see her this summer some time, I'd like to see the area.
700 miles, 12 hours....it's doable. I wonder if we could catch a ferry and drive the last bit? Need to do a little research on this.

We usually enjoy a beach vacation. But at this point I am happy to just putter at home.

The plan is to do our usual State Fair vacation but we don't know how that's going to pan out. I'll be a month out from my due date by then. Plus we're waiting to see if Gwen gets into the public school pre-school program and what the start date for that is.
It might end up being our usual thing or it might end up being a day trip. We're playing it by ear at the moment.

Big vacation in Jamaica in May. Am considering heading somewhere in Europe for a couple days in fall, but everybody and their mother on YM is trying to convince me it's a terrible idea. Kill-joys.
