DH is a great father, loving husband, very handy, hard worker, doesn't drink much, doesn't go out, his main vice is about $2 a week on lottery tickets. And sci fi TV shows.
But he can't cook.
Is there anything you wish your spouse could do?

DH can't dance either. Not for a lack of trying. But I'm ok with that.

Hmmm.....this is REALLY hard one. He really could pretty much do anything.
Now, whether he does it or not is a different thread. But I can't think of anything that he can't do.

He can do most everything that I can do (ok, he can't cook as well as I do but he still can cook). What I would like for him is to know when something has to be done before I have to ask him to do it

DH is not handy. At all.
Either I fix it myself, or hire someone to do it.
It's ok though, he does everything else.

I've given up asking him to do anything. He either pouts or forgets. Either I do it or it doesn't get done. If it's something serious, then I hire it done.

Well, being that swamp used "would" and not "could", I wish DH would out my laudn ry away. I put his awa when I put mine away, and I don't udders tandem why he won't put mine away when he's putting his away. Yes, I understand that I have my stuff arranged in rainbow order by sleeve and leg length, but it's just not that difficult if a system! Other than that, I'm good.

DH has improved with age. He was always a nice guy, & his mechanical aptitude has improved over our years together.
The thing I wish for the most, is that he would recognize when the house needs cleaning. He says he wants to help, but I have to suggest what to do. He doesn't see dirt or dog hair in the carpet (when it needs vacuuming). I've joked for years that he can't see any clutter below knee level.

Make more money, clean more, start fewer projects and finish more of them.

Sing - but not because I want to be serenaded, but he sings in the car and stuff and it makes my ears bleed.

Spend less but she has been pretty good with that lately.
Besides that, my wife rocks and is awesome: great cook, awesome friend, supportive, loving, smart and a heart of gold.
Seriously: I got it made!

Have more time. Not his fault.
Get less distracted by everything else when his son and I aren't with him. Totally his fault.

Hubs was good at most things, but he wasn't handy. Anything that had to be fixed was fixed by me with him watching from a comfortable position. He watched, ostensibly, to learn; however, we were married for over 35 years and he never learned. If I couldn't fix whatever it was, we called somebody who could. He watched them, too.

Meh, I've given up on that. I'm convinced the bell on the washer is in a frequency he can't hear. That would be me, never mind DH. I can only hear in one ear and if it doesn't sound like the Carol of the Bells, there's an excellent chance I won''t hear it. I have the washer set to loud and everything but nope, still nothing. If it could pound on the wall or floor as my family has learned to do, then I would be ok. Or if it did the godawful whistle that DH does because it's in a frequency I can hear. Regarding cooking, DH used to cook for me before we got married and were still living with our parents. We were pathetic, yes. I swear to God but the second that band hit his finger (almost 11 years ago!!!!) he forgot how to use the stove. And I am not the world's greatest cool, although, compared to his mother, I am Julia Child. At least from the stories DH and his brothers tell.

Be as career driven as I am. This for my wife too but in her case I do think she is career driven but she needs to be more like a man about it: more assertive! Go for it kinda thing!

DH isn't handy either. Power tools seem a mystery to him. But, we have worked around it. He doesn't seem to mind doing the laundry or grocery shopping. I am great with power tools.

Right now, go to the doctor! He hasn't been feeling well for a few weeks now off and on. It's some stomach issue and he's being stubborn.
Like steff, dishes too!

I went to bed early and read because I was feeling punk. NCIS marathon was on so DF was happy. He emptied dishwasher!

Be pregnant. It'd be nice if it'd be his turn to carry the baby for once. Other than that I wish he'd notice dirt more. His threshold is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY higher than mine and I'm pretty lazy. Our house has to be pretty bad before he'lll consider dusting.
