Mini Profile Backgrounds

I've put in a template mod that will allow you to specify a background for your mini profile.

All you need to do is go to Profile > Edit Profile > Personal Tab, and go all the way down to the bottom of the page. Enter the url for the picture you wish to use there.

Please do not hotlink from other sites unless the site specifically says you can do so! Host the photo yourself on Photobucket, or ImageShack or something like that.

As with avatar pictures, do not use something that moves in a way that could cause problems to those with epilepsy or other seizure disorders. If you're not sure, ask.

Also be aware that you should choose something that will still allow your display name to be seen. If need be, we can change the color of your display name so that it is viewable, though.

I don't think dropbox works like photobucket or imageshack for hosting photos anyway. but let me try it really quick.

Ok. using the "share" link for dropbox doesn't work, as i thought. I knew it didn't work if you put it in the image tags...

Yeah peeps it has to be a image saving site like Moon stated in her opening post. you need no bigger size than 250 wide by 500 height. I also twist or crop my images on Photobucket to get them to work nicely. I hope that helps you.

actually sugi, the size doesn't matter. it won't resize to fit the miniprofile - you'll only see a portion of a large pic.. but it also won't skew the page if you used a full size wallpaper..

But if everyone is using big Wallpaper won't it hold up board loading or not ?

I don't know, we'll have to see. it's not loading the full wallpaper.. but, like you, i either use small images, or edit them so i see what i want to see.

See that's me I go for cropped images anyways or I crop everything cause then it keeps my space lower on Photobucket. Everything is already sized for me before I post it.

I find a image that I like or I like parts of, then I save it to Photobucket. Then I rotate, crop and resize to my heart's content. Then it's this new cropped image that I save to my PB album.
