bolding mine.. yes. if others wish to get a ticket, then you (in general, not you specifically) move over and let them. it's impeding traffic if others can't get around you and you won't move because "i'm already doing above the limit". the law basically says that you are not allowed to "police" someone else's driving habits. Wrong. I do not have to move over to allow others to speed. in my state, the law says you do, in fact, have to do just that. don't get me wrong, i get what you're saying for your situation. but, how i drive is my business as long as it isn't endangering others. i am typically 5-10 mph over and yes, i do move over if i see that someone else wants to go faster.

I move over too if I see someone really wants to get around me; however, I can't move every single time because as I said earlier It's almost impossible to get back on the left lane in time for my left turn. Speeding is such a problem here that they just hired many more police officers just for that reason alone and announced it on the news! I don't go a day without seeing several cars pulled over and I have no doubt it's for speeding.

www.newschannel5.com/story/19068630/clarksville-police-step-up-speeding-patrolsCLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- Clarksville Police have started a zero tolerance policy for speeders on busy Fort Campbell Boulevard. After more than 300 crashes along the stretch of road in the first six months of 2012, officers have decided enough is enough. Officers said while they don't want to write expensive speeding tickets, drivers on Ft. Campbell Boulevard really don't give them a choice. "We've have had over 300 traffic accidents on Ft. Campbell since January," said Officer Ashby. Clarksville Police officers have been told to accept no excuses for speeders. "I have had people tell me that they have to get home because the cookies are burning" said one officer. By saturating the three mile stretch of road from Stateline Road to Second Street, officers hope to send a message loud and clear. The speed limit is 45, go any faster and you'll be caught. Clarksville Police are not trying to be secretive about the increased patrol. They want drivers to know they will be out in droves periodically from here on out.

I usually go 5 over in most conditions, which is 75 on the highway. One exception was last week after a saw a huge deer bound across the highway barely making it through a group of 4 cars going slightly faster than me. I slowed down after that. I shudder to think of my little civic hitting a deer at 75 mph.

I thought of this thread today. I was heading west on the Mass Pike for about 40 miles. Every couple of miles it there was a sign letting us know that we could go 15 miles in 16 minutes. Or 23 miles in 28 minutes etc. I took it as a challenge that I could do better.

two tickets Ratchets! dang! yea - we have to know about the area we're driving in. where the police get so FN board in some townships! they pull over people for just anything! my dad drives below the speed limit when going to the condo. that area the police have like nothing to do! he even got a ticket once because 1 of the 2 light bulbs above his rear license plate was out!

Got my letter today. I have 30 days to take my test. They remove 2 points if I pass, then 3 after a clean year so a year of being good and I should be back to one point... A year of cruise set 4 over. Sigh.
