Unless the server actually told them his sexual orientation (which he didn't) it was highly presumptuous and ignorant (not to mention bigoted and hateful) behavior on the part of these diners.
They should have checked their zealotry and hate at the door when they walked out of their house and into a public place.
They could have just skipped the tip and said nothing - which would have only made the restaurant and staff assume they were cheapskates - instead of preaching their ungodly sermon. It certainly wasn't Christian behavior.

Somehow I don't think Jesus would have been a proponent of looking down on the GLBT community . . . just a hunch.

How do you know the sexual orientation of a person serving your meal? EXACTLY my first thought, unless the server was wearing some kind of button/patch 'proclaiming' his preference. In my mind the ONLY question is, "did he do his job" and if so at minimal or above average to earn the minimal or above average tip. If he did not meet minimal expectations it is time to speak to the manager/owner. |

Unless he was prancing and lisping, I can't imagine anyone having a clue. I'm thinking of that movie that I can't think of the name right now of. One of our best sales people is and we only found out because we saw him in a place where he was with a group of his friends and since he was not at work, he was letting his hair down, so to speak. So what? He's a great guy and if I knew a nice guy to introduce him to, I would. Someone else's sex life doesn't concern me at all. I have enough on my plate, so to speak. Ill bet they paid cash, the cowards.

Forgot the 11th commandment- "Thou shalt keep thy religion to thyself"
Also the quote was edited- they used the term f%g twice, not homosexual. Not sure how that changed. It really shows the underlying hatred.

One other point about Christianity. The Bible CLEARLY states we are to spend much MORE time examining our own actions, thoughts and behaviors and shining the magnifying glass on ourselves than we ever are towards other people.

Their faith or belief is practicing hatred, prejudice, intolerance & bigotry toward another human being?
They claim to be Christian, but behaved very Un-Christian like toward the server - based on their own ASS-umptions that he *might* be gay.
They received excellent service from him when dining, and enjoyed their meal. He (the server) did his job, and did it well.
They could have just stiffed him on the tip, paid their bill & left without a word - instead of leaving a hateful message scrawled on the bill.
If the waiter was "an affront to their beliefs" as you put it, they should have just turned around and walked out of the restaurant before they even sat down & ordered their meal. Instead they dined, enjoyed it, and then used their "faith" as an excuse to be cheapskates.
