And if Pence had his way, it would be gone on day one. and then what? I take it "Obama Care" doesn't include u or yours...Just curiouse if u were in a situation if you and yours were affected by the Affordable Care...what your attitude will be. I know I would be loud and demanding as a minority group usually is. Pushing for more and more handouts. Paid for by the majority of course.

It's not 100% of course but over all..one of the differences between conservatives and liberals I believe is that the liberal..[me] doesn't mind if those less fortunate gets help if needed by whatever means..usually government services..especially on basics..food, shelter and medical.. G, abuse the system...ranted some take advantage of but most just the way the cards have been delt...do work..do try to raise kids correctly..do know, served with them as their commander, , so many of their kids served our country when the more lucky ones did not..thus have a soft spot for that class..plus am comfortable so no problem if help is given, not hurting me.....don't worry about it..glad our country able to give such help...just the flaming liberal in me.

what is interesting is that they are no longer tossing it out wholesale, but since they've put their energy into "repeal!" for 6 years, they refuse to just state they are going to modify it. repeal gave way to repeal and replace without a whimper, they can revamp 20% of it, or repeal and replace with "trumpcare" - which revamps 20% of the ACA. like anyone cares what it is called. we all just want something in place. Correction: We all just want something in place THAT WORKS. You forgot the "that works". 6 years ago, full repeal would have worked. 4 years ago, full repeal would have worked. 2 years ago, full repeal MIGHT have worked with some speed bumps... but once it was fully up and running, and entrenched... full repeal is no longer possible without destroying the economy. It's imploding on its own. It's destroying the economy as it is. Granted repealing ObamaCare all by itself won't solve the biggest problems with healthcare- massive deregulation and devolution of power must occur in healthcare. And there are ample proposals to deal with the most critical issues-- moving us from a government controlled to a market based health care system.

Personally, I think it's stupid that dental and vision are separate. "Medical issues" are "issues of the body"... What? Teeth and eyes aren't part of the body all of a sudden? People are pretty happy with dental and vision care- for a very important reason: dental care and vision (as well as cosmetic surgery and chiropractic services) are in the free market.

I thought it was clear enough that I was only referring to repeal ONLY. Not repeal and replace. I know it's imploding on it's own... and if it completely and utterly "blows" it will kill the economy too. The problem is if it's repealed without replacement at this point, that will just cut down and lock in the time-clock for it's demise... and the demise of the economy. That wasn't true 6 years ago... nor 4 years ago... nor even 2 years ago (although, as I said, there might have been some speed bumps, 2 years ago). Replacement is the only option now.

I was referring to them as insurance items. Teeth and eyes are body parts, so they should be covered under a "health plan"... a separate Dental and a separate Vision rider shouldn't even exist. Having them is as stupid as it would be to have separate insurance riders for feet (because there are foot specialists), ear-nose-and-throat (because there are ENT doctors), hearts & lungs (because there are cardio/pulmonary specialists), et cetera, et cetera, et cetera... It's a human body for crying out Christmas. One complete organism. If it's going to be insured it should be one complete policy.

This 100% Democrat owned disaster is going to finally be completely repealed- every last page and word. If the Republicans waiver, or Democrats obstruct- they're as dead as ObamaCare. This is one for the history books- politicians in both parties have a choice: make history, or be history. This thing is outta here! What about if we end up with a 100% Republican owned disaster that is going to finally have a discussion of it being completely repealed?

Seeing this thread title again makes me want to start a Trump presidency deathwatch ... inspired by the Priebus firing.

Eventually our sun, Sol, will supernova. I can guarantee that will be the end of Obamacare! Small point of order... Our sun isn't large enough to "Supernova". It will eventually expand into a red giant (likely swallowing the Earth), then after another long time has passed, it will collapse into a white dwarf.

If so, immediate families can get glasses through the VA, they are pretty cheap & they even offer a free frame...it's kind of flimsy, but it's free. I get mine at Costco since they came out $10 cheaper than the VA for me.

He is but we just get good ones. He tried the ones at Walmart and couldn't use them, I already had and couldn't either. They say its the same kind of lens but it has such a narrow reading width we just don't do it.
Yes, I paid $700 for mine, got a wonderful, light weight frame you don't even know you have on. Medicaid will pay a bit on DD's then we get hers and pay the difference from her money. She has a complicated script. I have to browbeat hubby to get new ones, he is tough. I think the only VA place is 100 miles or more from us.

I have progressive, trifocals from Costco, no problems at all. And mine weren't cheap either but Costco is a lot cheaper than other places.
