So.... this the end of the ACA? Again? I thought we'd already been there a couple of times before. I guess I was thinking of the end of the internetz. My bad. ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/huh.gif)

Hilarious. All I know is that when it comes to death watch there is less of it due to Obamacare. If 47,000 Americans died due to lack of health insurance providing access to health care simple math would indicate there are ~ 7000 less deaths due to implementation of the ACA and the enrollment numbers therein. Why the pro-lifers are not reveling in this is no surprise to me, all things considered, ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/cool.png) but one would think it would give them pause.

A nice refresher is to go back start of this thread review your comments!

Yes, This grossly overloaded Obamacare airplane was doomed to crash after takeoff!!

This 100% Democrat owned disaster is going to finally be completely repealed- every last page and word.
If the Republicans waiver, or Democrats obstruct- they're as dead as ObamaCare.
This is one for the history books- politicians in both parties have a choice: make history, or be history.
This thing is outta here!

We're going to consolidate some services for the poor into a new fangled VA / medicare / medicaid program so that the poorest of the poor, and those with impossible to profitably treat and insure have options so that they do not go without care. But single payer is never going to happen- ever. ObamaCare, which was deliberately designed to fail and create the kind of misery which would cause people to beg for single payer by the cynical Grubers that designed and sold it-- will now basically ensure America NEVER gets single payer. Which of course is a VERY good thing. You don't fuck up the whole system to care for a small number of poor and needy.

Considering that so many Conservative governors rejected the Medicaid expansion under the ACA I find it laughable that they would somehow correct that now so the poor do not go without care. What the F do you think was one of the main thrusts of the ACA? To provide insurance to the 47 million that didn't have it, so they could afford to get some care.
That folks think Trump is going to wave a magic wand now and fix that, and that the conservos are going to back that, is just not believable.

Wanna bet Trump will not sign the bill? I assume it has to go to his desk to kill it.

Did you miss the joke VB? Just because the Repos are going to F over 20+ million Americans doesn't mean you have to be so serious about it.

In his 60 minutes interview, Trump said it would be replace, not outright repeal. My guess is he'd veto anything that was just an outright repeal.

i saw this comment by Rand Paul in TPM:
“People are disturbed by the fact that as conservatives they would be voting for a budget that adds $9.7 trillion to the debt and never balances. So I think there is some concern among conservatives about it,” Paul told TPM.
he is all pissed off about the President Trump budget. this is going to be a really interesting ride.

another interesting article: "We're going to do repeal and replace, very complicated stuff," President Trump told reporters, adding that both elements would pass virtually at the same time. That promise, however, will be almost impossible to achieve in the complicated web of Congress, where GOP leaders must navigate complex Senate rules, united Democratic opposition and substantive policy disagreements among Republicans. um/.....in order to pass something at the same time, you have to have something, dumbass. so far, i have seen precisely nothing from him. i expect to see a lot more nothing in the coming weeks.

that was also from TPM. i think they have to do "just repeal" because they have no replacement. and i think that will fail to get the necessary votes in the Senate. if Democrats filibuster, it DEFINITELY won't pass filibuster. but it might not have the 51 votes even if it doesn't go to filibuster. they only need two more Republicans to cross the line, and this thing goes down.
