Not really, guys. Although I believe I saw something about 3rd Combat Engineer Bn. I was A/3Engr/3MarDiv a long time ago. Before that it was 7th Force Eng. Bn. It was so long ago our Utilities were herringbone twill, didn't have back pockets, we wore leggins and used our brass rifle brushes to keep our boondockers from looking worn out. One thing we did not have was a requirement for anybody that was jump qualified. That may not matter because helicopters were still toys and AmTraks, LCVP's and LST's were common.
But I am intrigued by an Engineer battalion having Ranger/Recon qualified slots in their T/O. I'd like to know more about that. Company sized? Platoon, , , what? and who would they work for and how?

I also noticed that along with other false and misleading facts, data and etc. Did you pick up on all of his inconsistencies and false statements that really stretch crediblity which is why I doubt that this individual is who he claims to be....most of his comments are really clueless and just pure nonsense, one more wannabe, and I would bet a month's pay on that.
BTW checkout all the garbage spewed all over this thread again by Cedar??? Have to work, so I can't stay. Just popped in for a quick visit. Henry, fair question.
I was severely hurt in training, and rather than processing me out on a medical, I received a BSO back to my original MOS. In the corps, you do not go from boot camp straight to recon. You spend your first 8 months in your first MOS before being accepted and transferred over to your recon unit. It's almost like being sent to boot camp all over again...sir yes sir, etc..

Correct Value-Buy. Deer were almost non existent in most parts of Ohio after the depression. People killing them for personal consumption. Others taking out entire herds for selling on the black market.
I guess 21st century American survivalists have not learned that is why farming and domesticated animals were required to feed a population greater than 1 person/sq mi.

I can also plant roughly 3 acres and can purify about 30K gallons of water. My generator is ready to go and I have 100 gallons of kerosene for heat, cooking and light. Having lived through Hurricane Andrew I learned valuable lessons about being prepared. My only reason to go to the grocery store at this point is for toilet paper. When the collapse happens I can perforate $100.00 dollar bills and have the toilet paper issue handled by using useless Govt. issue. And yes ... I am also prepared to defend against the unprepared individuals who think they may be entitled to the resource and labor I've invested to insure my family is taken care of.
