DH,
Yes, I placed a shipt order that we did not need while I was stuck on multiple asinine conference calls for work today. In one call my boss asked for my opinion, I gave it very nicely, and he proceeded to tell me why it was wrong. So retail therapy was my one saving grace today until it got dropped off and you threw a stink about my spending. FFS, I bought detergent, more socks for myself, new underwear for DD2 changing sizes, canned goods, breakfast items, and all the different batteries that we will need as the kids open christmas presents.

To be fair, there has been lots of true retail therapy in the mix. Just not the particular order that he took issue with. I'm finding myself decorating more of our spaces since we're home all the time now. Plus, we've only been here 3 yrs so there is still a fair amount to do. New curtains, yes please. On black friday sale, even better.

I can see that. You cannot have the place looking like a jail cell or a bunker. If you spend a lot of time at home, it needs to be nice. And you shopped safely. And contributed to the economy. Nothing wrong with that. I've been in my house 35 years, so I am doing the opposite -- getting rid of stuff.

Dear Friend,
Your car was a total loss. You owed more than it was worth. Your insurance company paid the finance company, but there is still a balance due. Good thing you had gap insurance. However, you personally will not be getting any money out of it. The gap company will pay the balance due to the finance company, not you.
Also, you should not hold your breath getting approved for a personal loan from a credit union. You have no income except your social security, which isn't enough to cover your mortgage. I know you expect to get a settlement from a lawsuit, but it is not guaranteed, and your lawyer will take his share. And even if you get it, you are talking 5 figures, not 6 or 7. It won't last long.
You need to get a job. At this point, any job to bring in some money for groceries.
Signed,
molly

Is it a thick enough thread you can use as a noose for this client? Asking for a friend.

Dear Key Bank, You won't discuss my late brother's account with me or anyone else, because there is no administrator yet due to COVID court closures, but you'll give my phone number to a collection agency?

The collections agency said they would send paperwork about the loan to my address. Key Bank wouldn't tell me a thing, other than it's for the solar panels (the installation was completed days before my brother suddenly passed away) and they filed a lien on the house. They said it was $19,000. The collection agent was talking about $36,000! And, yes, it hasn't been paid because we didn't know about it until Key Bank sent an email after a 3-month grace period before payments were supposed to start. The first bill was auto-paid, but we never got any other bills or paperwork, and nothing else has been paid. If Key Bank had sent a bill (physical or emailed), we could have taken care of it.

Dear Sister,
No I do not want to discuss how much fun you and your family are having at Hershey Park, while I am rushing our father (who you infected with Covid) to the hospital with breathing issues. And I certainly do not want to hear how you are not cutting your vacation short to be there as moral support for MOM (who you also infected with Covid) when we learned this morning Dad will have to undergo a surgical procedure to break up a large blood clot in his lung that is affecting his heart. Please avoid me for a while.
Family sucks. Signed, YOUR PISSED OFF SISTER

daisylu I'm thinking good thoughts for you and your dad. Since you're already pissed at your sister, why not just send her a text saying to her exactly what you said to us? Do it. She needs to know how you really feel.

She needs to know how you really feel. I ended up calling her, after I calmed down some. She had told my Mom that she would not be coming home, not me. I told her how bad the situation is, and that my Mom still needs help physically not just mentally. I let her have it about her selfish ways, and she started packing to come home immediately. But damn, I should not have to go batshit crazy to make people do the right thing. It seems impossible that we were raised by the same parents. And thank you everyone for the well wishes. They are taking him in now to try to break up the clot.

Dear HR Manager
I can tell you are angry with me. Sorry it was 2.5 hours before the college shut down for the Holiday and I still did not have the pay authorization. Oh sorry you forget the VP has to sign the pay authorization and I was paying the increase without the signature of VP. You have no idea how difficult it was for me to send the email.
Signed

Dear HR Manager
After the talking to you gave me today. Do not worry. I will never go over your head. I will just let you wallow in your own incompetence. There is no reason why paperwork started at the beginning of November should not have been completed by December 22.

Dear HR Manager
I did not tell our mutual boss the following:
1. you gave me an incorrect name of the person who put in their resignation. 2. You told me they were hiring an athletic training when in realty they were hiring a seasonal volleyball coach. 3. You told me to pay employee a 150.00 dollars when employee A was to be paid 75.00 4. You told me to pay employee b 75.00 dollars when employee B was to be paid 150.00
I just cant handle these errors for much longer.
