OK. I am more than aware that some of you are able to smite now and again. i don't know why or how, but i can see who is doing the smiting, and WHO is being smited.
i am tired of getting PMs from people complaining about it and if this doesn't stop i will disable all of it so no one can exalt OR smite.
are we clear? don't let your disagreements ruin it for everyone, please.

how are some able to smite? I'm seriously just curious, I haven't either smited or been smited. is there a glitch with the disable feature?

If you know who is doing this, i would recommend a 5 day ban for first offense and permaban after that....
Make sure everyone knows the rules....and then if they will not adhere....well...you know
off with their heads.....

I dunno how to smite anybody. I've been looking for a thread to hijack though, and this one will do. I suppose by hijacking moonbeam's thread I'll be accused of "smiting" her in some way, but I think she can take it. Not good. Hi Moonbeam... if somebody has moderation powers on another Pro-Board, can they transition them to this one?
A reminder to all that we are ALL here by grace and behaving ensures a future. Without boards we're just bored. It would be a good thing to point out WHO has been smited (sorry Kate, it isn't smitten) to demonstrate a pattern or narrowing by obvious association.

I can not have one on and the other off. so, i found a code hack to disable smite only.. it is a java script and i knew when i used it that there were limitations to it. due to that, some people, typically when they were at work, were able to see the smite link. in addition, it was discovered that if you did a search, that the smite link was visible under everyone's names that came up in the results. THAT particular loophole has now been closed. however, it is impossible to 'fix' the other one because it is the work environment specifically that allows it. no one has any mod access they should not have or anything like that. |
