Milee, this is YM. All you have to do is chant to yourself "$*#% this [person]/[situation]/[whatever], at least I'm rich." ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/tongue.png)

OK, so far based on your awesome suggestions and comments, here's the plan:
Eat ice cream. Drink wine (well, after my dentist appointment. She doesn't like it when I arrive drunk.) Find and watch some trash TV. Be grateful I do not generally have to be in any situation where country music might be played. Avoid Bob Ross.
Sounds good.

I guess cross-dressing is now an offense so horrid that you should be taken away. I'm thinking more that taking him away would be in regards to the serial killer reference, but what do I know. Would you like to join me in having some wine? You're not normally this nasty. Wine might help.

Yeah, but I'm aware I'm being selfish.
As for insensitive, I don't think it's necessarily that I'm being insensitive as much as you being overly sensitive.
But we can agree to disagree and move on. And I'm glad you don't have lice, too.

Maybe people are cranky because all of the motorized wheelchairs were already taken when they got here. Or it could be Bob. When in doubt, blame Bob.

When I'm feeling a bit down, I put on some makeup, then look in the mirror and say "Would you f*&k me? I'd f*&ck me. I'd f*&ck me so hard." Then I do the tuck. ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/smiley.png) I remind myself that I am not Bob Ross. That usually does it for me. ![](http://syonidv.hodginsmedia.com/vsmileys/raspberries.png) Actually, I compiled a list of "Small Things I Love" and I look at that list often. Nothing crazy on the list, and it's all G-rated. Just little things to remind myself that there is more to love out there, beyond the idiotic here and now.

good Lord, what crawled up everybody's culottes today? Never heard that expression before but it gave me the willies, so I'm adding it to the list of things I'm grateful for. 1) Don't have lice. 2) Nothing has crawled up my culottes.

Milee, regardless of what's going on in the world, we are all entitled to have a bad day. I second the ice cream/wine/trash TV suggestion.

The serial killer reference came after the suggestion that Bob should be carted away. [/span][/quote] Look, crankypants, Bob's original post is him describing a scene almost straight out of the movie "Silence of the Lambs." He is describing acting like a serial killer and that's the post Beer is referring to when she mentions carting him away. Here's what Bob posted: When I'm feeling a bit down, I put on some makeup, then look in the mirror and say "Would you f*&k me? I'd f*&ck me. I'd f*&ck me so hard." Then I do the tuck. ![](http://images.proboards.com/new/smiley.png)

Is he painting happy little trees on his skin suit?

I've never seen or read Silence of the Lambs. I avoid horror movies like the plague.

If it's not that bad I will remind myself of times I went through worse, and that I can get through this one too.
If it can be solved throwing money at it, I remind myself that is the best kind of problem to have.
If it's pretty bad and I can't throw money at it to make it go away, I will go out on a walk through the woods or climb a hill out in the boondocks and just sit on top of the hill looking the view.

Really?! You should watch it sometime. Normally I hate horror movies but this one has become one of my favorite movies of all time. The sequels. . .meh.

It just doesn't seem like a good day to sit around and whine about your petty problems. You're right. It's not like horrible things aren't happening every second all over the planet. There certainly aren't people suffering and dying right now. None of us should ever even think of complaining about our problems, because invariably there is always someone who has it much worse.

It just doesn't seem like a good day to sit around and whine about your petty problems. (yeah, I went back on what I said) Okay. So when would be a good time? When the people in those war-torn countries we don't hear about continue to die en masse? When children in this and other countries continue to starve? Yeah, those are probably better times - after all, if it's not in the headlines, it's not happening, right? I get what you are saying. It could have been anyone's 8-year-old child. And it is just tragic - really. But we don't stop worrying about our individual lives. And the world keeps on spinning.

Well, then, what do you presume we do, then? Keep staring at the horrific picture you insisted on posting? And then.....what?
It is horrible what happened in Boston, but there isn't a lot I can do for the victims while I am sitting here at work. And as far as my kids are concerned they will experience a normal day and if I also get the benefits from that, then so be it.
