If you are seeing white pages with nothing but links, please respond to this thread.
First, make sure 4d5.net is allowed through any filters, as that's where the CSS is hosted. In other words, add it to your 'allowed sites' if you have permissions to do so.
If that doesn't help, PB needs to know:
what operating system, browser and version are you using?
Are you using any ad blocking software?

Running IE8 and Firefox 3.5.3 added 4d5.net to acceptable sites, but shouldn't be issue as we don't have security restrictions. Compatibility view is not on

I have the issue on my work computer; however, I'm at home now. I'll have to check it out tomorrow and get back to you.

I have tried the site in four different browsers (IE8, latest FF, latest Chrome, and the portable version of Opera) at work and not one of them loads the css. I have not tried adding 4d5.net to the list of trusted sites, but isn't that only applicable in IE?. I'll try that tomorrow, though I don't have high hopes.
Interestingly enough, I asked a co-worker to try loading proboards.com (which also shows up white for me) in chrome, and he had the same problem. I am hoping that there is not some wonky security setting that my office has set which renders 4d5.net completely blocked for the whole agency.
I am going to try using my work laptop at home tomorrow or Friday to load the boards. Then I can at least see if the setting is specific to the computer, or the network.
So very sad!!!! I was really looking forward to enjoying v5!

Oh, and at work: Windows XP. I am not sure what settings the administrators have locked down. But I'd think that my attempt to use portable Opera should have worked. I installed it and did not activate anything.

Are you using any ad blocking software? Sill have an issue at work. Operating system is Windows 7. Browser is IE7. Don't think we are using an ad blocking software, but using Trend Micro anti-virus software. Should the 4d5.net be added any certain way? Example, http:www.4d5.net. Right now, it shows as *.4d5.net FWIW, I'm on my phone now.

Work computer is still just showing white page with links. I have IE but I don't know what version. How do I find that out. What are the steps to "add 4d5.net" to allowed sites? I really need a detailed step by step instruction. Tx. Will try that, but not very hopeful...

OS: Windows XP Browser: Chrome, not sure what version or where to look for it. Also tried IE8 and my OS is so old updating to IE9 didn't work, it wasn't compatible. lol I've also tried my Kindle on the wireless they leave open to the public, no luck there either, but it works at home. I'm afraid it's system related.

Since it looks like it did, here's what I said.
No ad blocking software that I know of and I also need to know where to add the allowed site stuff on Chrome.

I will add yours to the support thread.

To find out what version of a browser you have Firefox: Help > About Firefox IE: Settings (or gear icon) > About Internet Explorer. Chrome: On mine, it's the icon with 3 lines in the top right > About Google Chrome
To Add *.4d5.net to your trusted zone for IE:
- Open Internet Explorer
- Navigate to the website that you want to add to a specific security zone.
- Click the Tools button (the gear on some versions), and then click Internet Options.
- Click the Security tab
- Where it says 'Select a zone to view or change security settings', click Trusted Sites, then click the Sites button.
- In the box that says 'Add this website to the zone', put in storage.proboards.com/0/0/c/5aA4IBE1W7Fyq_PDrD6S.css
- UNCHECK the box that says "Require server verification" then press the Add button.
- Press OK on the next one to close.
To Add *.4d5.net to your trusted zone for Chrome:
- Open Chrome
- Click the icon with 3 lines in the top right
- Click Settings.
- Look for a link that says Show advance settings (probably at the bottom of the page)
- Look for the section that says NETWORK, and press the button for Change Proxy Settings.
- Exit settings.

It tells me that I need to have a https// prefix to add it. So, 2 questions: is the * part of the addresss and will adding just that to the beginning of the site name work?

You missed the step where i said UNCHECK the box that says "Require server verification" then press the Add button. If you uncheck it then it doesn't require the https:// part in front like the warning said.

I did not miss a step Moon. I unchecked the stupid box, it's making no difference. Which is why I asked if the format of the site name made a difference. I've done it with the https crap, with nothing extra, with www. , and NO VERSION OF IT worked.

Moon, currently both that version and a www.4d5.net without the * are in the allowed sites list. I tinkered with other versions but didn't leave them when they didn't work. I guess I'm just not gonna get to use this during the day unless I want a huge headache. Beer, you should see how big your avatar is

Moon, I'm not trying to be snarky either, just in case I'm starting to sound it. Frustrating on both ends I'm sure. I'll try the full URL now.

I know you're not. I want everything to work for everyone but unfortunately, there's only so much *I* can do or try before it becomes something PB has to fix- if they can..but when it comes to employers, there's not a lot any of us can do if their security is the problem.
