So the push should occur within about the next hour, I hear. At that point, Virgil, you'll have to turn off your stuff so we can see if it worked.

Oh, and I'm not sure what is happening right now but I'm at home, and Virgil's script seems to be toggling on and off here. Some pages load in the silver, others in the blue.

So the new css host is prbrds.com. Here's hoping!

I've noticed that the Reply pages are still using the 4d5.net host, while the threads are using prbrds.com. My script will toggle on if it can't detect certain objects that should be present, hence it will be toggling on for reply pages. Hopefully Martyn is aware of the problem. When he fixes it, you shouldn't see the silver at any point.

I like the silver. I'm not in a hurry, your script saved the day. I'll see what happens on Monday.

Moon or Virgil-this question may have been answered before and I may have missed it. But why do posters have a choice of 'Visual' or 'BBCode' on the lower left hand corner of the reply box?
Using my tablet, I can only get BBCode highighted. I try tapping Visual and nothing happens. In my profile, I set it for Visual and not BBCode. What does it all mean.
No rush for an answer.
Thanks.

BBCode as default is for users who wish to have a set font face/color/size applied to every post, or for those who are comfortable with using ubbc formatting.
visual is the "what you see is what you get" editor.
I'm not sure why your default isn't working on your tablet, however, or why you can't switch from one to the other.

When I go to my settings and select BBCode as opposed to Visual, a box opens and states the below. It says "What you type here will show up in all of your posts by default." What does that mean-if I type Tennesseer will Tennesseer show up in every post? How will it know the font face, color and size by typing in Tennesseer? Is there somewhere where I can read up on that function? I noticed Billisonboard mentioned earlier somewhere he found it and maybe even changed his font-face, color and size. Default BBCode

The 'What you type here will show up in all of your posts by default.' box is a crude but effective way of specifying default formatting for your posts in UBBC, Tenn. Suppose you type into the box [font face="Georgia"][b][/b][/font] When you go to post a reply or quick reply, this will appear by default in the editor box. By placing the cursor in between the opening and closing tags, anything you type will have this default formatting applied (in this case, bolding, with 'Georgia' as a font face).

I'm sure it hasn't been mentioned as much as the complaints, but I greatly appreciate all the work that moon, Virgil, and the others have done to make this website work for us and help us with the fixes.

Funny thing is I had to use the quote function to see what you wrote in the box. All I see when looking at it outside of the quote function is a long, solid black box. But I do understand what you wrote. Thanks.

So, am I understanding it that we're seeing a version of their new code and Virgil's combined now? His stuff kicks in if theirs doesn't cover it? I got the links page when I came to log in, but have only seen it flicker here and there today since then.

My IE is toggling back and forth between links and "pretty". Kind of neurotic. Loads "pretty", click on YM and get links- and back and forth. Using Chrome- it loads Silver, click on YM and you get the pretty blue. But I have icons and emoticons now in Chrome. Maybe I just need more caffeine.

Some pages seem to be using the new host, and others are still using the old (rejected) host. For those of you where the workaround 'fixes' the problem, you'll flash between blue and silver. For those where even the workaround didn't do anything, you'll flash between blue and links.
Give Proboards at least a week. Migrating files from one server to another and making sure all the links follow it is not a simple task.

Hmm, I was pretty excited logging on from work this am. The home page is fine, the main YM page is fine, but when I clicked to this thread to respond...still white links. So, there is hope yet...I think...

I think it just takes time to migrate. I had the same experience: the main page was fine, but threads still rely on Virgil's script.
I can see that some content is still being referenced from s0.4d5.net. I'm sure once the admins go through and replace the URLs, the problem will be solved. I know it takes time to find them all and troubleshoot.
Nevertheless, I think the new prbrds.com URL for the css' has fixed the problem.

Every once in a while I'll get the links but a quick F5 has fixed that 99% of the time.
