Apple, tell your friend the dentist should have all the equipment for the sliver removal. Definitely ask, the worse they could do is say 'no'. I finally had to break down and buy new work shoes. I grumbled about it but it needed to be done. Do you have season tickets to any kind of entertainment this year?

No season tickets, but am already eyeing several concerts and comedy shows this year. Kinda piggy backing on Apple's question: How "bad must it get" before you break down and finally go to the doctor/ER?

Ever had a kidney stone? I have never felt such pain. DH took me to ER the couple of times I've had one. When other things happened a couple of months later I had cancer surgery but have never had any pain with this or subsequent chemo and radiation. Just tired.
Spring is just around the corner. How soon will you start planting flowers?

I planted a rose bush yesterday. Are you starting to gather things for tax time?

My things are always together here at the office, filed in separate categories for deduction purposes. Just need to get DH's list from him and we're good to go. Have you familiarized yourself with the apparent changes in tax laws this year?

DH used to work for H&R and continues to get the tax book with all the laws in it. Just got the down-load a couple of days ago and is trying to take it all in. Confusing at best but hoping he can muddle through. If not, we have a friend who is an EA so she can help us. I know the higher standard deduction will hurt a lot of charities, but will help a lot of people by not having to fill out Schedule C. It's a toss-up on this one.
Are you still getting stormy weather?

We currently are on a reprieve until Wednesday last I looked. 'Tis okay. With the snow came elk on our property and life is absolutely amazing. Last night there were about two dozen after sunset. What was something fun you did over the weekend?

I had a friend from back home tell me she was close by, between trips from one place to another, and had a free day and night. She came and spent the night (killed two birds with one stone -- did a quick once-over on the house AND had a little fun). It was great to see her and re-connect.
Is there a household chore you dread having to do? I'm thinking I couldn't narrow it down to one chore that I dread.

Cleaning the floors ………….. Getting the vacumn out then the damp mop. We FINALLY have a lady come in once a month and do the deep cleaning of floors. I can do the mop up of spills and picking up the kitty hairs but the other stuff I let her do it. I'm getting too old to get down …….. and get back up …… What time will the lunar eclipse be for you Sunday evening? You plan on watching?

We saw the eclipse ……. it was gorgeous. Checked it about every 15 minutes until the total, then went to bed. Had to get up the next morning for work.
Any Valentines Day plans?

I make my NYs resolutions for the year on 12/31 so I never break them. Has you seen chocolate easter eggs in the store yet? → VD is over and done with so it seems like they should have made or will soon make an appearance

I think there was some in Fred Meyer yesterday, but I didn't really pay attention. They tend to put that stuff in one area and I mostly just ignore it all year round.
Any good plans for spring? (Will it ever be spring?! We're expecting snow and ice again all week...)

Nothing exciting for spring yet. Looking forward to digging in dirt and planting garden in next couple of weeks - rather helping son in his garden. It feels like spring right now and urge to plant is tugging but know better.

Yes I have....and too many times than I care to count. 3 for me due to heart issues and multiple times for DH when he fell.
What is your favorite pie?

I can't remember losing any cash except for change I've dropped. For quite a while I would find change just walking around. I always figured it was DH#1 letting me know he was still with me. The most I found was a $20 bill. As far as my portfolio ………. don't ask …….. The sky is blue and I don't see a cloud anywhere. What does your sky look like?

St Pats day is Sunday and it will be another Sunday. Church, laundry, groceries. Day before is g-dtrs 30 b-day so we'll celebrate that. The local town will throw green dye in the fountain so it will be Kelly green. Otherwise no special plans. I don't care for corned beef and cabbage so that's out. The only greenery for dinner will be veggies.
How many household furry/feathered friends do you have?

How often do you wash the kitchen floor?

Not enough. But then, I don't really cook so I generally don't have splatters on the floor. (A more pertinent question for me would be, "How often do you clean the microwave?" Answer: "once a week")
Do you like corned beef?

Oh, yea, the follow up question: have you ever watched the movie “The Quite Man”? What did you think of it?

The Quiet Man …… oh yes, many times. It was on TV Sunday evening and we have it on DVD. This movie and 'Donovan's Reef' are my favorite John Wayne movies. The 'Cowboys' is my fav JW western.
What are some of your favorite movies? Musicals, rom-com, action, adventure?

I'm not especially fond of left overs but it depends on the food. I have cooking for one down to a science!!
Can you remember the name of your first grade teacher? Or any elementary teachers names?

I remember every teacher K through eight. I’m a little fuzzy on high school. And I only remember one from college.
Do you have children older than 20 years old? Do they still get an Easter basket from you? Mine do!

I don't, but my almost 21 year old niece is still visited by the Easter Bunny, along with her 16 year old sister. Any fun plans for this weekend?
