Apparently I am surviving. I am down to 180. The highest I have been since I put this weight on was around 220- so I am down 40 pounds from my highest lifetime weight. ANd still about 60-70 pounds overweight. I am losing! I am losing! Way to go mizbear! I'm struggling to get down from 220 as well, but you're 20 lbs ahead of me! We can do it!

Yes we will all get there. I think school has actually helped me some and I just have had this fire in me that I am sick and tired of living other people's lives and sick and tired of being sick and tired and really sick and tired of doing for everyone else and not for me. Not that I mind helping people.

I found out yesterday that my employer is doing a wellness program that offers up to $260 off of insurance premiums per year. So, i'm thinking of doing the initial evaluation and then seeing how far I can progress in order to shave some $ off my premiums! that's a little incentive, right?

I met half my goal for the weekend; I did my first workout with weights yesterday (and my back/arms/shoulders are cursing me for it this morning, yeouch). I called as early as I could to reserve a lane at the pool for today (you can only call 24 hours in advance) and STILL wasn't able to get a lane for the only time slot that works for me on Sunday mornings The gym doesn't even open until 8 on weekends and I work, so the 8:30-9 time slot is the only one that works and still lets me get to work on time. All lanes were reserved at both 8 and 8:30 by the time I called yesterday morning. I had a bad feeling when I was stuck on hold for a good 10 minutes. I sound like I'm making excuses, don't I? No excuses for tomorrow, I'm going to do the weights again and spend at least 40 minutes on the elliptical and/or spinning bike.

Sarcastic - tomorrow morning challenge! I'll be doing weights in the basement since the time change effects B too - she'll be up and hanging out, so sticking closer to home until we get the time change figured out. Weights go!!

The baby woke up 10 minutes into my workout, so I had to abort. The workout, not the baby. The moral of this story? I need to wake up even earlier until we get daylight savings worked out.

Great work everyone! Keep it up. I’m getting back into the swing of being a gym rat. I was there twice last week, for an hour each time. I took Saturday off. Sunday I was going to go, but ended up walking around Target instead. I walked up and down the aisles for ~30 minutes, then did my shopping. I’m shooting for 1.5 hours at the gym after work today. My WW weigh-in day is tomorrow. I’m really hoping to be down 2 lbs. I’ve been doing well on food. I even enjoyed a couple cookies and adult beverages over the weekend, but with my activity and everything I’m still well within my weekly points. The carb tracking is going well too. My fingers are crossed!

I just went through my calorie logs for the last couple weeks. With as little as I've been eating, I have no idea how I am not losing like crazy. F*cking sucks!

Since I took it easy this morning, I got off the train a stop early and walked to work from there. It was just under a mile as opposed to my normal 3 block walk.

Totally thought about sleeping apart, per your other thread, but then ended up not because the dogs wanted to sleep upstairs and I didn't want to sleep downstairs without them, and long story short I ended up getting terrible sleep. Just hoping I won't get sick at this point.

DH kept getting mad because I was lysoling every time he'd get out of bed and I washed the bedding twice. but whatever, it's over 2 weeks since the onset and i don't have the flu! ha!

LOL, I think it's too late for that. The baby actually threw up overnight about a week ago - we chalked it up to just something random because she had no fever, but she was cranky and tired too. Well, DH's symptoms have pretty much followed that same course, so maybe wasn't so random. I've been hanging out with her taking no sick-precautions for a week now - if I'm gonna get it, I'm gonna get it.

Minnesotagirl7: 42.8 lbs 10/29/13 (45 lbs 10/23/13) Down 1.4 lbs this week. Not as much as I was hoping, but still encouraging. I'll continue to hit the gym and track what I'm eating. As long as the number keeps going down, I'm pleased. (I just wish it went down faster!)

*BOOM*
That was the sound of me crushing my workout this morning. Luckily I only had a 1/2 hour circuit training session planned - because SOMEBODY was up at 5:15, 30 min ahead of schedule even accounting for daylight savings. *headdesk*
Also finally got back in the pool last night after being out for like 2.5 weeks. I could definitely tell I hadn't been swimming much, everything was off again. Next step: convince baby to get back on regular sleep schedule so I can go to the pool in the mornings!
Weighed in this morning, down another half pound. Still don't know why my weightloss is so slow, but I'll take it.

i skipped this morning. It was a rough night. I'm not sure what my dog smoked last night before bed, but i am pretty sure it was crack. He has an ear infection which had him up scratching his ear last night- understandable. But he kept jumping on us and then running through the house like a maniac. WTF? he's never done that before. We heard him barking and DH got up to see and he was just standing in the middle of the guest bed? every time we'd get him settled into bed and fall back asleep he'd get up and jump on us and then take off running through the house. I got up at 5am to go to the bathroom and he saw me from where he was laying on the living room couch and jumped up and came running at me. he kept trying to get in my lap while i was trying to pee! lol It was pure insanity. of course, by the time we got up this morning he was all cuddled up and acting 100% normal. and i don't even have a clue about my weigh ins. My weight is bouncing day to day. down 3 pounds one day, up 2, down 1, then up 4? who knows!

SG, I'm staying away from the scale for now for just that reason, too much fluctuation. I did make it to the gym this morning and did 30 minutes on the elliptical, before heading off to yet another useless appointment to try to solve my evil headaches. That involved much poking & prodding of my head which = ow, so I'm glad I got the workout out of the way first.
My fitness nut DH is going bonkers 9 days after hernia surgery; I caught him trying to do his usual morning stretches this morning (ARGH!). I know he hates being inactive, but if he overdoes things that's not going to help.

Wise move- Kilroy. I am just going to watch my diet, continue with my workouts. focus on how i feel and non-scale progress. the scale is so inconsistent and an inaccurate reflection of progress.

HAHA- BSB if the dog is on crack again tonight- he better share. It was the craziest thing he's ever done for real. this morning DH and I were like "WTF was that all about?!?!" I would say that i will make up for my missed workout tonight- but i have a pile of work here to take home. we had lunch catered in- over half of what I ate was salad- but there was some pasta and bread in there. So I probably won't have much for dinner, maybe a piece of chocolate and a glass of wine while i work
