Called Help Nurse. Said I should go to ER and not to drive myself. Sister and BIL on their way.

Got a Private Message on Facebook this morning from Theo ...
"I wanted to let you know that I was admitted to the hospital last night. Not entirely sure what is wrong yet. More tests today. It is okay to let people on the forum know I am hospitalized"
I am sure you all join me in sending her Get Well Wishes.

Remembered how to sign in on phone. Very dehydrated among other things. Still working on fixing dehydration and lots of tests still to be done.
Thanks for all the concern. I appreciate it.
Dad has wanted to visit but, until late morning, I was in isolation awaiting stool sample results. Test showed nothing so no longer in isolation.

I have an endoscopy and colonoscopy happening tomorrow about 12:30. Have not been told if I spend another night in hospital
Doing a prep over 12 hours. It got delayed an hour because an elderly woman passed out and fell. According to her, she was going home this morning. She fell last night but didn't pass out. They just called in more help and she gets her own nurse. I get a new one.

You're in my thoughts and prayers, Theo.
Been pretty quiet around here ... got the hot tub repaired and filled ... yay! Got the Explorer repaired ... yay! Been doing rescue stuff ... and some around the house stuff. My wonderful DH heads out of the country "soonish."

It's a cold, grey, damp foggy morning here in central California. I'm sitting here in shorts/tank top and my wonderful DH is fully-clothed and burrowed under several layers of covers. Our 10-day forecast has a lot of overnight lows in the 30s ... and we've got some possible rain this weekend (which is good, since we're still smack-dab in the middle of a long drought).
I will probably venture out this afternoon or tomorrow for groceries.

TheOtherMe hope you get sprung from the hospital soon. I got sprung last night. Came home and listened to a basketball game. Could barely stay awake for end of game. Went to bed and slept until about 3:30 AM when I awoke, still wearing my glasses, to Lucy lying on my chest and purring like an airplane. Guess she missed me! Finally nobody was waking me up at 3 AM to get out of bed and get weighed. I understand the vitals, but do not understand why they wake everybody during the night to weigh them. Interesting few days. I was severely dehydrated. Received IV fluids, including potassium and magnesium. Several meds while hospitalized but no new ones added to my list to take on a regular basis. A benign polyp was found along with a surgical staple from my surgery in 1999. Dr and nurses kept saying 2009. I would correct them but have to make sure the date is correct when I go back December 1. They had me on a soft food diet and I am not sure when I am supposed to go off. Because I am on Medicare, I have a woman following me for six months. I can call her with any questions, so on Monday I will call about this. She said one of the reasons she will be in contact with me is because I live alone. I appreciate this free service. She said not every hospital offers it.

I would have been very cranky had they made me get out of bed at 3am. The 3-4am blood draws were bad enough. And one night the stupid aide went in the wrong room for a blood sugar check.
Glad you are out of the hospital. It's much easier to rest at home.

The 3 AM weigh ins are ridiculous. When I had surgery in 1999, they did the same thing and I complained then.
They would come before I would have liked to have been up for the daily blood draw. I look like I have been beaten up. So dehydrated when I went in that neither arm vein worked, but they poked around and I am bruised up. Finally got IV in hand. They taped that thing very well. It was not moving and didn't it.
Had an ng tube for 48 hours, so my nose and throat are sore from that.
I don't want to go back to a hospital for another 17 years.
Since the first colonoscopy prep only succeeded in making me sick, they did the prep through the ng tube at the rate of one glass an hour, administered by the nurse. First and third nurses were great. Not so sure about the second nurse. Somehow when she was doing it, the ng tube came out and was never in correctly again.
When I woke up yesterday, the ng tube was completely gone. They said I took it out. I don't remember doing that.
It was so nice to sleep in my own bed without the vitals, blood draws and weigh ins. Slept through until Lucy needed me.

Another good night of sleep in my own bed and no interruptions. I'm tired so I've decided I don't want to drive to my sister's and back. By the time they eat, I will be down for my nap. As soon as they are done eating and dishes cleaned up, out come the ads to plan the shopping. Since I don't do that, I get bored.
I have managed to change the battery in my garage door remote this morning.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!
I deserve some sort of award for not stabbing anyone with my fork at Thanksgiving today. Several people deserved it. Thank goodness there was pumpkin cheesecake.

I survived Thanksgiving day with the assorted family members. My sister cheated and left early. My aunt did share a nice bag of her homemade pfeffernusse cookies with me. Those are so good.

We had an impromptu potluck get together at my Brother's this evening. He knew that the out of state relatives were in town and that they hadn't gotten to meet the newest family baby yet. They also hadn't gotten to meet my cousin's baby who is just a few months older.
He basically said we have a ton of leftovers from Thanksgiving come on out in about an hour and we will have some dinner and everyone can visit. If you want to bring some of your own leftovers that is fine too. Everyone brought leftovers and we had a great visit.
