CL did you REGISTER or SIGN IN ? It's REGISTER that you have to do for here, if this is your first Board doing so. Otherwise it's SIGN IN and LINK UP. I haven't had my coffee yet or taken my meds. no, they only have to register if they're account here was created AFTER dec 7. otherwise, they need to login, using their current userid (NOT THE SCREEN NAME) and password For making a master account ? I'm not following, but never mind you have important things to look after.

OK, did I actually get it right this time? And why does the v5 show up as a list of links instead of an actual page?

As a computer idiot I only vaguely understand what is happening. I have, I believe, been on to 'somewhere' and got a Global ID. The only thing I need to know is this. On my 'favourites' list which I use to get on here, do I need to change anything or will 'Home to MSN refugees' still get me here? You made it trevor, your on the test board. Now remember your Password.

I'm not following, but never mind you have important things to look after. Once they have upgraded one account on *any* v5 board, then that global id is the master. every other v5 forum can be linked to it after that. registering there is for brand new, never existed on the board, members.. that will only apply to those who didn't have accounts here already when I made the copy.

So basically follow the PM that you sent them and that Register that I'm thinking of is like a newbie getting onto present here board ? So your pm will get them to the Global Id account ? Moon it's been a while since I done mine, can't remember now what I did, I just saved Email/Password.

I did it!!!! Thanks for all the patience Moon One last question, that looks like a list of links, not our board. I got it to show the board once earlier but now all it's doing is showing the list of links and not going anywhere when I click on one.

Ok, so I created the global account. My kid's school is using Proboards now. If I can find them, I can use the same global login, right?

I created an account and now I have to wait for approval? Is that right? Just wondering, not complaining.

From Ken a.k.a OMK There is a login at the upper right that doesn't recognize my user name and ID. There is a forum login in the middle right that only asks for the forum. It takes me back to here. So is that what it takes?

i think the box may say both - email/ username...
so if you go to notmsnmoney.freemessageboards.com click LOGIN - not register - at the top
enter your USERNAME from here (ken1947) and the password for this board. It should then prompt you to enter an email address to use to sign in in the future
when it says to pick a new user name and password, you can use what you use now.
