our v5 Betazone board is now open!

Yes, that's right. We're now one step closer to the release of v5. This is a copy of OUR board so you will be better able to see what it will be like when it transitions.

HOWEVER, you need to keep in mind that:

• This is a copy of our board. Just like on the other v5 beta board I told you about before, posts you make there will not be seen here, and vice versa
  
• Our existing codes have not yet been converted to plugins in most cases. Things will not be what you're used to!
  
• Some of our skins have been converted to themes. Some haven't. It's a work in progress.
  
• There are bugs. New ones get found and reported every day. That's why it's a beta board. Even so, you will still be able to get an idea of what to expect.
  
• They will periodically roll out updates which will make the board unavailable for a period of time, and undo the things we've done. Have patience when that happens, please.
  

How to get there:
Go to notmsnmoney.freemessageboards.com (note: this is just the betazone url. When we are upgraded to the new version, the url will still be the same as what you use to get here to the best of my knowledge)

Sign in with the id and password you use here, and it will take you through the process to upgrade to a global login account.


If you have problems, I'll do my best to help.

I logged out of this board and logged back in. Got back on here using the password I thought was right that didn't work on the other board.

Tried and it doesn't work.

also when you click on the link in the op it goes to:

I guess it doesn't like that i colored the link blue.. so, i removed that formatting.. see if that helps those who couldn't get to the page.

What i did though, is click on the Register link, put in your email addy from here, and then click the 'forgot password' link and have it send you recovery instructions.

Okay I got in. At first it said that it couldn't find my e-mail address and to login with my user name. That worked and then it filled it my e-mail address. Anyway I got in and got upgraded.

The way I am reading this is that this is a global login across all proboards boards. Is this true? I actually maintain different passwords for here and for Icey's board. Because I just do. If this is true does that mean that there could be a conflict of names between boards?

No. When the global login system goes live, you will add each forum you're a member of to your global account using that forum's login information. All the global login does is link them all together under one email address. It's very easy to switch between forums that way. Ryan from support made this video that explains it. Maybe it will help.

Grrr - I took my Halloween avatar off my profile there - and now I can't get a new one on - if I click to add my own image link, nothing happens this time around.

POM, check your profile here - your username may be different than your Display Name. Click "Edit Profile" to check.

Your username will be at the top - if you typed in peaceofmind as one word or something else for a username, it's different than your Display name (Peace Of Mind) - and it's the username and password you need to sign-in to Beta, not the Display Name.

My halloween one was showing on my page over there, and I took it down, thinking I'd put up one of my regular ones on my page there. After I took the halloween one off my page, the button to add a new avatar is not working - so now I'm stuck with the fugly proboards "cartoony" one on my page.

There are so many bugs right now that I'm thinking of re-doing my copy. I was the very first one to get a betazone conversion, actually.

If I do do that, anyone who did the global id upgrade will have to re-do it, I think.
