yes, i approved the account you created since i couldn't remember if you got in under your regular account or not. it won't matter.. that's just a test board and will eventually be deleted. i just want people to go try it out before we actually upgrade.

It's not difficult, lonewolf; however, I think we're all aware there may be some who decide not to make the effort. That's an individual choice. This wasn't our decision here on notmsnmoney. This is ProBoards' decision to improve their boards for their clients. They've made some great improvements we think everyone will really like. It would be nice if all our posters would make the change with us.

lone, i know people are not always eager for change. though there WILL be a period of adjustment, there are so many nice things with this new version, it makes it worth it. it makes me sad when people want to quit without even trying first. i hope you change your mind and decide to stick around.

they are changing, not only for functionality, but also to keep up with the current scripting languages - CSS and HTML5. As with all software programs, you can only do so much when you are using outdated technology. you have to change, or be left behind.

Proboards I believe is the leader in these free forums. To keep that level they have to grow in technology. Most every website that I go to has changed to meet the new technology. Some did it brilliantly, some not so much. I believe from what I myself have seen that ProBoards done it brilliantly. I like the little things and there's a lot of really neat little things. Folks I'm no spring chicken myself, but I embrace going forward.

It is an improvement over v4.5, which we're currently using. It's not a Windows 8.  For posters who aren't interested in change, you needn't worry. The interface is 95% identical to what we have now if you don't intend on using any of the new features. |

I did it with the copy board!!! Note to me: I must remember what my username and password is. Lone write it down on something you won't throw out. I have index cards that I got at the dollar store. |

xmascookie, no for now it doesn't matter which account you use over there.. as for passwords, i used to have to maintain id/pw for 1500+ servers as part of my job..plus all the different tools, ticketing systems, etc... now i have few server ids but still tons of others.. spreadsheets are my best friends.
