Anyone think the President has a gotcha moment set up for Romney to step into, where the President announces a major policy victory somewhere in the Middle East after Rmney makes a statement about Libya, or Iran?

Again, I'm going to be cautious here, but if the President shows up awake, a little fiesty and not too condescending, I don't know how he can possibly be put on the defensive.
Many Democrats (the liberal wing) don't appreciate his hawkish foreign policy stand. Most Republics are convinced he was born in Africa is a Muslim and a communist, so it will go over their heads.
Let the 3 or 4 per cent who are undecided and genuinely interested, make up their minds.

[Cheezet already]..all this reaching and pontificating...actually I believe he is sending some of our stealth bombers to attack one of our carriers in the gulf and then watch for his announcement... ludicrous I agree but figure that is what you are into...

He doesn't seem to be the "gotcha" type.
I think Romney can step into a pile all on his own. Did you see Obama's face in the second debate as Romney was about to step into a pile of dog poop?.... "Please proceed, Governor"..... ;D

Agreed.
Speculating on the moderating skills of Bob Schieffer, I'm expecting another Jim Lerher situation.

Anyone think the President has a gotcha moment set up for Romney to step into, where the President announces a major policy victory somewhere in the Middle East after Rmney makes a statement about Libya, or Iran? It's tough to predict what someone unconstrained by the truth, and aided and abetted in their lies by a complicit media will say. Mitt Romney, for example, had a "gotcha" moment in the last debate that was totally derailed, and in spite of the fact he was right, and the president and his debate partner Candy Crowley were both wrong- 60 some odd million debate viewers saw Romney stopped and corrected by the moderator. So, the answer is- who really knows?

Hard to debate someone with no tangible positions on anything either. Obama has to be prepared to debate 10 different people- not fair. I wonder which Mitt shows up tonight- the only reliable and current information is that it will be the one that's full of shit- and that's all of them so no help there.

No kidding- my mind was made up 8 years ago- at least as far as which party I was not going to vote for no matter what- I swore off the GOP for 20 years so impress me in 202- Hilary should be done by then.

I think that's me. Neither candidate has pushed me to one side or the other. I'm not impressed with Obama's record, he seems to offer nothing new for the next four years, and yet Romney hasn't convinced me either.

It's gonna be a rumble. They've already called each other liars (paraphrasing).

Sounds like the American Green Party is making progress. In 2008, they'd have been strapped to chairs in a warehouse for a full 24 hours before being released.

LOL, Kari. It could be my bias, but I'm pretty sure she is referring to Romney.

Romney is coming across as surprisingly coherent on foreign policy. Personally, I was expecting this one to be a clear Obama win (and perhaps it still will be). I've only been half-listening, so I'm not sure if I do or don't like what Romney is saying yet....

I doubt it. But it would have been huge if he could have, say, announced that the terrorists that kill the ambassador had been caught or killed.

Reminds me of those old beauty pageants I used to watch when I was a kid - no matter what the question was the answer was always world peace.

I don't think either one of them wants to talk about foreign policy. Each of them keeps changing the subject to domestic matters.

I've been watching the debate online because I broke my YM-approved rabbit ears a few months ago.
Is every network airing these completely patronizing facts over the screen? Did they seriously think they needed to post "Obamacare is the nickname for the health care reform law"?

Foreign policy is not something Mitt knows a lot about. He's pretty much agreeing with Obama's positions.
